"I'm evolution incarnate!" the creepy voice sounds a little distraught now. "I'm a personification of mutation. Stasis isn't my thing! I can do my best, but I'm working against my nature here. And... I can get out on my own. That's easy. But Quinn's mind is going to need help waking back up. And I've been in here before. I know what to do. It'll just take time. And time plus mutations results in evolution. Graaa!"

She sounds frustrated.

Quinn's right leg looks frustrated.

At least if you consider a limb that looks like it was stolen from a dinosaur of some kind and then given patches of wriggling cilia and teeth frustrated.

"I can fix that!"

Marley takes down the banner, and goes to bed.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt isn't a psychic. He doesn't know how to mess with minds when they need help.

"I don't suppose sedating you would help, cause otherwise it sounds like nothing I can help with."

He doesn't really have a clue what to do, of if there's even anything he can do.

Lex glares at Reinholdt. You told that... that man that I'd marry him!!

Greg's still wandering. Looking for someone. Anyone, really.

"Could you get me some pineapple? I like pineapple. It helps me concentrate," seems to be Allaso's only suggestion at the moment. "As soon as I can get out of her I will. And I'm sure once I meet up with the other two aspects we'll be able to help Quinn out. This isn't the first time something like this has happened to her. I'm sure she'll turn out alright! I'm going to go lay her down in her room. Just focus on keeping her as normal as I can. Just don't worry, okay?"

And thus Quinn begins staggering out of the room like a puppet on strings. 'cuz Rebo needs some sleep at this point.

Hopefully Allaso won't fall asleep herself.

That would be disastrous.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt blinks at Lex.
"Astir? I told him that you and him might get along and that you might appreciate one of his gifts. I never told him what you'd actually be willing to do. Only that you two should talk and see what came about." He hasn't caught on that the issue might be sexism.

Reinholdt gets the Quinn puppet thing a pineapple. "Here. Hope it helps."

Well I wouldn't appreciate one of his gifts. Because they come at a high cost. I just haven't figured out what that cost is. Lex jabs a figure at Reinholdt, not even trying to tough him, she's staying out of his reach.

Astir claims that all he wants is your loyalty and friendship. But even I don't believe that. His gifts are too powerful just to be a way to say "thanks for being my new found friend!!"

She gets just a little closer to Reinholdt. So what are you three upto, Reinholdt?

[Reinholdt]

"I didn't get his gift in exchange for friendship and loyalty. I got it because I accidentally freed him from some several thousand years sleep. And you know, maybe he is just lonely. You would be too. He's incredibly naive about how the world works around here. He didn't even know what cake was. I'm more than willing to bet that he doesn't realize the value of the gifts he's giving away and is making lopsided deals without understanding."

He stands his ground, neither upset nor smug.

"As for Falgorn, I have no idea about him other than his name and what he can do. I haven't really had a chance to talk to him."

[Lex-Kat]

Lex glares at Reinholdt. Damn it!! She flies off in a huff.

((DEADTIME))

[Reinholdt]

"Hmmm..." Reinholdt walks off into deadtime as well.

Phoenix somehow finds out about Irene's leaving and the circumstances around it. Uh oh. Mostly posted because I didn't want to bother roleplaying out.

[Kaelaroth]

And there's Czernov, rounding a corner, his cold grey-green eyes determined. He seems to have left his lab, and is carrying a very big box of tools, and bits and bobs of scientific equipment, and, first, is going towards the armoury...

Jazirian, in the form of a Lantern Archon, hovers after Czernov, since I haven't really played him as much since I introduced Phoenix. >.<

[Kaelaroth]

Who is that? Czernov asks Jazirian, as he bends down, and opens up his massive box, pulling out wiring, and welding equipment, and circuit boards, and such. Who are you, I mean?

[Ashen Lilies]

"Jazirian. Do you need help with that?"
Wouldn't want his frail human spine to snap from the effort.

[Kaelaroth]

You know anything about technology? This isn't an insult. 'tis a question.

[Ashen Lilies]

"Somewhat. But I meant with the carrying."
He shifts into his usual human(-ish) form, and lands lightly.

Just do what I say, all right? Czernov says, before getting to work, whether Jazirian helps him or not; though if the dragon does choose to assist him, the first job will likely be a lot faster.

Some time passes.

The armoury door now has a DNA scan for members - those who cannot provide the accurate DNA are not permitted to enter. Of course, there're still flaws in that system, but it prevents low-level incursion in there.
Next stop, the detention cells.

Jazirian helps.
"So I assume we're increasing security here. About time."
He follows Czernov.

[Kaelaroth]

Yes. If we had masses of time, I would be doing this even better, but apparently there are threats constantly, though I have not observed any myself recently. For now, these precautions will hopefull suffice. Now downstairs, Czernov gets to work on putting a similar DNA lock on the detention cell systems, to stop people like Dipsnig freeing those trapped. How are you, by the way? He asks, as he works, soldering while he speaks.

"Not too bad. I spend most of my time these days training. Harder without a teacher, but I think I'm doing well."

[Kaelaroth]

I would offer to train you in what I know, but, as a superior entity, I imagine you are leagues above me. Czernov says, finishing the job, and standing. The security room, now, I think. And then I need to see about buying some material.

Jazirian nods and helps Czernov with the security room.

[Kaelaroth]

And after applying further DNA locks to the security room door, Czernov makes his goodbyes to Jazirian, and, after gathering some weaponry and provisions, leaves the base, sticking a note on the bulletin board as he goes out.

Marcos undeadtimes, and gets some homemade coffee. Just like his player should be getting about now...

Dani, meanwhile, having finally woken up, comes out of Sam's room yawning and rubbing her eyes, and heading for the kitchen.

Within her mind, Quinn's mind starts its reboot sequence, and starts coming around...

Marcos waves at Dani. His favorite mug, which reads: #1 Doctor! ^__^ Is in his hand, filled halfway to the top with coffee. Morning, Dani.

G'mornin... Dani mutters a little blearily as she opens the fridge and, blinking against the refrigerator light, starts rummaging around inside.

Marcos yawns, finishes his coffee, and begins to wander back to the infirmary.
