GLoG 26: Now With 100% More Things Trying to Nom You!

[Lex-Kat]

((Lex did, for one. She's Lawful Neutral. ))

Lex closes the security room behind her and flies back to the main room.

Reinholdt! Where are you?

[Reinholdt]

In the main room! What luck! He was just about to go to the firing range to practice with the taser thing, but stopped for a snack.

"Right here Lex. What is it?"

[Lex-Kat]

She looks sulky. I want to apologize for a moment ago. Considering recent events, I just don't believe GLoG can trust anyone who doesn't prove themselves trustworthy.

Do you understand?

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt gives a half-smile. "I understand Lex."

He sighs and sinks into the couch. "It isn't easy winning trust back. I guess it shouldn't be all things considered. I'm thinking maybe I should hold a conference or something. Let people get their grievances towards me off their chests so I can address them properly."

[Lex-Kat]

Lex sits donw next to Reinholdt. Redemption shouldn't be easy. If it was, everyone would pretend to do it.

[Reinholdt]

He smiles. "Heh. I guess so. How did you come to GLoG anyways? I never asked."

[Lex-Kat]

I followed Mistress Chelonie. When she, Annalee, Fanboy, and Nil created GLoG, I was was automatically included as a founding member, because she knew I would never be seperated from her.

[Reinholdt]

"I see. Loyalty. I understand that." To a degree.

"I don't think I've met Annalee or Nil. Did they leave for some reason?"

[Lex-Kat]

Annalee disappeared long ago. We think she died.

Nil comes in once in a while. Lex looks saddened thinking of her friend, Annalee.

[Reinholdt]

Ok.

"Oh... I'm sorry. Anything I can do?" Reinholdt's had friends who've disappeared before. But usually they leave a knife in his back on the way out, so he doesn't really know how Lex feels.

[Lex-Kat]

No. She's gone for good. I kept hoping she'd come back, *Sniffle* but she won't. Lex begins to cry silent tears.

[Kaelaroth]

And it's at this moment of sadness that Astir materialises, blurring into existence near the pixie and the pink entity, violating the anti-teleportation field. And he sees Lex's unhappiness, and immediately asks: Are you all right, princess?

[Reinholdt]

"Oh... Lex." He reaches out to try and hug/cuddle the poor pixie.

Though... he may give pause when Astir suddenly arrives.

[Lex-Kat]

She looks to Astir and frowns. No I'm not.

[Kaelaroth]

Is there some way I can assist you? Astir asks, kindly. Lovingly.

As a husband should..

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt goes quiet and sits back for now.
He's aware Lex doesn't seem fond of Astir. No need to upset things further.

[Lex-Kat]

No. At least, nothing I can think of.

[Kaelaroth]

Perhaps I can make some tea? Astir says, wanting to be nice. And conformist, of course. His whispers told him humanoids like tea, these days. Or I can leave, if I am disturbing you, fair lady.

[Lex-Kat]

Tea would be fine, I guess. She then looks up to Astir. Is it true that you were locked away for thousands of years?

[Kaelaroth]

Many more than that. Astir says, looking slightly forlorn, before he 'ports to the kitchen, to attempt to make tea.

[Lex-Kat]

Lex sits, looking at the floor.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt turns to watch Astir a bit, before looking at Lex to try and guess what she's thinking from her face.

[Kaelaroth]

And Astir can be heard returning.
If you want to say something, all surreptitious, say it now! NOW!

[Reinholdt]

After looking up that word, Reinholdt whispers to Lex. "Give him a chance. He may surprise you."

[Lex-Kat]

I don't know what to do. She continues looking at the floor. She reaches out to take the tea, hoping it's a pixie sized cup.

[Kaelaroth]

It isn't. Though, Astir, swiftly realising his mistake, points at the cup, which swiftly starts to shine, and melt down to a small size, its excess china folding away, neatly.

[Lex-Kat]

Thank you, Astir. She takes the cup and absentmindedly takes a sip.

[Kaelaroth]

It's quite nice tea. For someone who didn't make it so conventionally.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt sits back again. "Oh. Lex. Astir very much loved your cakes. There was a part of one left over from earlier that I gave him. We may have to hire you to make some for us more often."

[Lex-Kat]

Why do you need to give people gifts to be your friend? I mean, why not just be friendly to them? And let them be friendly back? She sips more tea.
