I have added some more tropes to the TV tropes page involving the Qs.
The Leisure Suit Larry: Q, when trying to pick up Verra and Skimmer.
Garfunkel: Green-shirt Q.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale-Discussion Thread XXI: We're a Big, Happy, Dysfunctional Fam
Oh, god... I played Runescape for like 6 months back in 6th grade... Then I realized it wasn't a game; it's only a program. Games, methinks, by definition, have to be fun, or at least have to attempt to be fun. Runescape does neither.
I quit WoW last year, and I still stand saying it's probably the best game I've ever played (well, I might like CoD 4 more, but... :P). The only problem is, it's too good. It draws people in, and takes over lives; it's too time-consuming, as you never want to quit playing.
Mages were the best... I heard Blizzard nerfed them in WotLK, though. I love my druid, too
@Tiff, don't ask them to try it; it is a great game, and they have no reason to mock them, but at least inform them of the consequences and of its addictive nature before asking them to play. The artist formerly known as Tired N' Drowzy, master of puns.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale-Discussion Thread XXI: We're a Big, Happy, Dysfunctional Fam
I've tried WoW. I found it even less addictive and fun than Runescape (well, before they completely ruined Runescape, that is), or, in fact, any other MMO I've ever played.
It makes me wonder how people get so addicted to it.Last edited by Calamity; 2009-05-29 at 07:40 AM.

Lemming: That's what I thought, too.
Calamity: You have to get past level 7, though the fun doesn't really start until ~20.
Once you hit level cap, raids, battlegrounds, and dungeons are also excellent... As are flying mounts. The artist formerly known as Tired N' Drowzy, master of puns.

Calamity, did you do dungeons, battlegrounds, quests, or play with friends? What of trading and getting professions?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale-Discussion Thread XXI: We're a Big, Happy, Dysfunctional Fam
Yeah, Runescape takes a lot of work, but it actually has a very rich backstory, and a lot of its minigames are awesome now. It also has excellent graphics quality, compared to before.
It has a book, by the way. It's awesomesauce.

WoW is a repetitive grindfest and little more.
