Crimson looks up at Corentin, listening to him quietly and with curiosity. She's almost entirely relaxed now, and enjoying the comforting feeling of her hair being stroked. It felt good, and reminded her of the times when she had pleased her mother.

How convenient for Richard that there is knocking on the door. Surely, he would have died of boredom, if some common peon had not knocked on the door, thereby forcing him to, like some servant, open it. Or not.

Richard gets up, still smoking his pipe, and answers the door.

"You hit your head super hard in the training ground when you were tripped! I warned about you getting a fat head from swelling, but Zee said she was a biologist and that you would be fine. Then she took you here! I am so really glad you are okay!" George grins before stretching a bit.

Dani, seeing Marcos coming slipping into the hot tub, hops out of the pool and steps over to slide in next to him. Hi Doc! Sorry I ran off on you...

Corentin kept running his fingers through her hair, noticing it's effect upon the girl.

"There are some who say that all there is to being is the material world. That there is no such thing as souls, or an afterlife, or a spiritual existence, that everyone is just a physical body, and once that body dies, all that waits is non-existence. Non-being. Nothingness."

"Now, obviously," Corentin tucked an errant strand of her hair behind her ear "if you've seen the Underworld, that makes their argument look a bit silly. But I have never seen an Underworld in my homeland. Maybe Creation has one, but mine doesn't. Maybe mine does, and we just don't know."

"But you can see how such a person might object to you trying to destroy them?"

"You fell over and hit your head on the padded floor. It knocked you out," Zee states, trying to hold back a grin. "Clearly soft-foam must be your only weakness. I suggest you be careful around sofa stuffing and Nerf bats in the future."

And then to George... just an apologetic shrug. "I didn't have a soul until I got the one I have now. I wasn't ever a triad of three different substances mashed into one being. I was pure. That's what I meant by my home in Elsewhere being crazy. People from here think it's crazy because everything is so different that nothing makes sense."

Crimson gives a little nod, her eyes closing as she gives a smile at the affection he bestows on her.

Marcos smiles and looks her over. Not much more on than before, eh? He says with a sly smirk.

*cough* Richard gets up, still smoking his pipe, and answers the door.

Corentin smiled down at Crimson. "May I ask you if you have any new thoughts, now that I've told you that? I want to know what you think."

"Oh, then I am so super sorry if I offended you!" states George, frowning. "I am so really sure that it really is not a crazy place at all because it has to make some sort of sense!" George gives an equally apologetic nod.

"Um... well... I can see why people would object, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't act on my beliefs, does it?"
Crimson asks him uncertainly, but not nervously.

And there, standing before the door be, instead of a bunch of unruly children with bricks, a man. Well, sort of a man. Technically Half-Fae, but it doesn't really matter much, unless you were going to attack him with cold-iron or something. I mean, it's a good thing he's not half-devil or something, because with the amount of silver Mr. Richard's wearing, he'd probably drop dead right this instant. But he's half-fae, and so safe. For the moment.

Anyway, description time. Said man before you is shirtless, like all good duelists are, revealing a fine chest covered in smooth bronzed skin, as of someone who has been in the sun a lot. And he has. Now, this is where my previous wording comes into play. The funny thing about the word 'shirtless' is that the reader automatically assumes that the person being described is, in fact, wearing pants, and not running around completely stark naked, which is a good thing to assume, as the person is in fact, wearing pants. Blue ones. Loose as well, except where they bunch in so that they may be tucked into boots. Around his waist is a sash of silky blue cloth, which also goes over his left shoulder, thereby covering his abdomen and the left side of his chest. Tucked into this sash are two swords, back to back, flat on the back edge, and curved on the cutting edge, not unlike the Chinese Dao. What's curious about these swords is the long, silver cord that starts at the pommel of the first sword, wraps completely round the hilt of said sword, before leading to the start of the hilt of the back sword, wrapping around the hilt of that one, before going into the pommel, creating, in essence, a flexible, yet durable link between the two swords, allowing beautifully choreographed combat that would be completely impractical in real life. He's got sword-chucks, basically.
The last thing to note would be the silver mask on the front of his head, covering his face entirely with a contorted visage of exaggerated Tragedy, seemingly at odds with his heroic stature and ram-rod straight back.

"Greetings sir. Would you be so kind as to tell me the whereabouts of the sorcerer known as 'Johnny Boy'? I would so like to make his acquaintance."

Dani giggles and, blushing, shakes her head. I guess not, huh? I don't see the point in coverin' up if you don't have to though. She grins. So what brought you down here, huh?



...you don't know anything about the Far, do you? Quinn asks George, eyebrow rising.

"...of course not." Corentin cradled her a bit closer to him. "If you truly believe that it is for the best for Creation to be destroyed... the, yes. Destroy Creation."

"But have you ever wondered why other people have these beliefs that cause them to come to these objections? What teachings they learned, what observations they've made, what insights they've had that cause them to disagree with you?"

Crodelus twitches for a moment, not saying anything. Mentally, however, he is screaming "That was a compliment, He's respecting me, don't get upset over it!" so loud that DC (or any other telepaths I may not be aware of) may or may not overhear it completely accidentally.

...I need some relaxation. The hot tub seemed like a good place to go. Now, all I need is a scantily clad female to massage my shoulders, and a bottle of champagne to share with said female. And...*POP* champagne appears. With two glasses. He's obviously hinting something.

Says Crimson quietly, drawing her limbs close to her as she leans into Corentin's arms.

Completely apart from my earlier wall of text, Phoenix is wandering, scratching his head at all the psionic noise going around. Not that he knows what 'psionic noises' is.

He starts looking around somewhat panickedly now.

Dani giggles and looks up, waving at Angela before turning her attention back to Marcos. Well, I have been told I give good massages....

"Indeed?" He sorta asks in his warm, melodic voice, the beauty of it ruined somewhat by the fact it sounds like he's had his throat cut several times and his larynx smashed more times beyond. "It appears I shall have to look for him myself, then."
Or at least wait until his player undeadtimes.

Marcos smiles as he pours two glasses of aforementioned champagne. If you're offering... He says, taking a sip of his drink.

"Scarlet, it is my belief, and the one belief that I think is absolute, that you should try to understand every way of thinking, every way of doing, every way of being, and once you know as much as is possible for you to know, weigh the factors, and decide which course of action to take."

"If it were me, I would travel Creation, listening to every poet, every philosopher, every thinker, every storyteller, every singer, watch every dancer, read every book, smell every flower... I would try to know as much as I could about being and Creation. And when it came time to act, I would use all that knowledge to decide a course of action."

"And if you asked me, that is what I would want for you. Do not abandon your beliefs, Scarlet. Learn everything you can, and then measure all beliefs against that knowledge, and choose the belief which comes out truest."

"And if that belief is to destroy Creation, then do so. But, do me one favor. Warn me before hand so that I can meet death on my own two feet, like a gentleman should."

"No... no, it really doesn't make any sense," Zee responds with a hearty laugh. "Even to the people that live there in some ways. There are so many mutually contradictory places and beings that exist (and don't exist, sometimes at the same time) that I really doubt anyone short of Yog-Sothoth would be able to keep track of it all. Laws of physics are plastic and mutable and don't even apply in some locations and/or days of the week. Time flows forward, back, not at all, and sideways. Every impossible thing lives there."

She smiles cheerfully now.

"And I'm just one relatively tame specimen. The only reason that I don't cause your body to invert, brain to fry, and tentacles to grow out of your eyes is because of the humanity that I have now. I'm part of this side of the Veil just as I am part of the other. And your mind is able to focus fully on my human aspects while fogging over the aspects of me that shred sanity."
