So does anyone else have any ideas for Masato's zanpakutou once he gets it? 'Cause I'm drawing a big, fat blank over here...

I'm thinking it should have a relatively generic attacking power, like Zangetsu. Nothing as fancy as some of the captains have, just maybe some kind of spirit-energy projectile or something along those lines. Then again, I don't want to rip-off Bleach canon any more than I already am...

Bah. Any ideas?

How about something akin to an adamatine-esque quality to the weapon (and its simple energy attack) that splits spirit particles? It might not be very powerful at all, but if it bypasses resistances (like super strong pressure releases) and will always win in a beam war (splitting stronger attacks in a head to head) it remains useful regardless of the foe. Thus, a great starting power for an up-and-coming hero type. Death of a thousand cuts rather than a nuke.

Wrong. I have used Gran Rey. Personally I always assumed Cero Oscuras to be unique to Ulquiorra. Just like Howling Cero is Abishai's thing and Dos/Cuatro/Ocho Ceros is Erscheinung's.
