The Quincy can be more widespread than in Bleach. I've already said that Daisuke would much rather work with the Quincy than against them.

I am really tempted to make an average high-school character. No Quincy, no Shinigami, no Arrancar, no Bount. Just a human. Of course, he would have enough spirit energy to (somewhat) see what's going on, so he wouldn't be completely in the dark.

Maybe we could even turn him into a substitute shinigami.

Well, if that wasn't the case, Chad would probably have an Inner Hollow himself (as his powers are more like a Hollow's). He doesn't, therefore, it isn't the case.

So I had a thought. If I'm going to make an average high-school student, I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who would be willing to play a shinigami who would ultimately turn my average character into a substitute shinigami. I'd assume that it would be a new character, since it would wipe them of their powers for a while, but if you're brave enough to use your main character, then I won't stop you. Then from there, the two characters would act as a sort of team, like Ichigo and Rukia in the beginning of the series.

Anyway, I just wanted to run the idea by to see what the general opinions of it was. I know it sounds pretty familiar (aka: a blatant ripoff), but I think it could add some interesting developments. And I think that things in this universe are different enough to keep it from repeating the anime. Either way, thoughts?

Let me just think of a Shinigami, nothing too awesome power-level-wise or anything either, but yes, I'm so on.

Any prefference in the squad and personality? I'm thinking 4th squad should feasibly aplenty in the area so that'd work. Otherwise, 5th squad being messengers and kidou experts are likely in the area at the moment as well.

Okay. There porbably will be a trial, but as long as your characters can prove it was justified, they'll be just fine.
