    Right. Time for me to finally throw my hat into the ring, as it were.

    Soul Reaper

    Name: Makato Ito (Given name, surname)

    Position: Ninth Company Vice Captain

    Reiatsu: Sky blue, with flecks of white and grey.

    Personality: Makato is a fairly laid-back person, for a seated officer. Though skilled with his sword and kido, he has no great love for battle except where necessary; and when he does fight, he usually tries to bring an end to the fight as swiftly as possible; fittingly enough, his zanpakuto is built for stabbing, not slicing, allowing him to finish opponents quickly.
    He finds it almost impossible to relax with nothing to do or to entertain him; as such he can almost always be found reading a book, playing a game, or wandering the court, talking to himself when he has no official work to do. He also tends to stay awake long after most of the court has gone to sleep, only to sleep in until around midday, though he can usually run on almost no sleep.
    He is a bit awkward to speak to; when he cannot think of a proper subject for conversation, he will spend minutes fumbling about half-formed sentances and topics in an attempt to keep the conversation afloat. However, when he does have something to talk about, he can babble about it for up to an hour before growing bored.

    Appearance: dark-gold hair that extends about halfway down hi neck, being shorter in all other areas. White skin, green eyes, and a slight yet muscled build.


    Zanpaktuo: Tatakikowatta Kumo, Shattered Cloud
    Sealed form Shape: A standard-sized katana, notable for the guard, grip, and sheath all being perfectly black. The curve of the blade is shallower than most, and the blade itself is slightly thinner, making it a blade built mostly for stabbing, rather than slicing.

    Shikai:
    Shikai command: "Sora wo Kiriwase", "Cleave the skies in two"
    The sword morphs into a rapier. The blade controls air currents around itself, effectively extending the length of the cutting edge by several hands past the visible end of the blade, making it a useful weapon for thrusting. On command, the sword can produce a cone-shaped whirlwind surrounding the blade and tapering to a point, in roughly the shape of a lance, though the size can vary depending on how much spirit energy the wielder feeds into the blade. The wind can be used to draw foes in, push them away, or cut anything that hits the wall of wind.


    Bankai: Ikimaku Tatakikowatta Kumo, Storming Shattered Cloud (not yet achieved)
    The blade from the Shikai reverts to the shape of a katana, though a long, thin one with an abnormally sharp edge. The guard vanishes completely. The blade then replicates itself several times, producing eight blades that float under their own power, surrounding the wielder. The blades are guided by a combination of the Shinigami's will and the sword's own personality. This form confers a large increase in Kido ability to the shinigami, as well as a heightened form of wind control, allowing him to effortlessly produce whirlwinds, slicing air currents, and the like, while simultaneously attacking with his eight swords.


    The spirit usually manifests as a single eye and the surrounding area of the face, made out of a whisp of some cloudy substance. The eye speaks without a mouth, and the voice comes as if from a long distance away. Despite this enigmatic form, he is as talkative as Makato, and just as prone to babbling and rambling on a point. This annoys Makato to no end.
    This only hints at the full form of the spirit, which is usually divided and spread about the mindscape. During Bankai training, it manifests fully, as a tall, slightly built man seemingly made out of cloudstuff, often carrying... himself. His manifestation changes depending on the shinigami's mood. When the shinigami is calm, he is a clear white, when troubled, a stormy grey; and when angry, stormcloud black, with lighting running through his form.

    Mask Remnant: Appears as half a goggle over her left eye. It allows her irises to show through, but the eye socket fits completely. She can raise it above her eye so that it is not on her face, in which case it merely appears like half of a goggle attached to her head.

    Not much is known about Kayi's past before she became an Arrancar. She never spoke about it to anyone. Toho transformed her from a Vasto Lorde into what she is now, and Kayi served him as any other Arrancar would. However, she grew tired and impatient with his rule over Las Noches and decided that she wanted to be rid of his authority, despite her powerful stance as one of his allies. Over the course of many years she worked with neutral parties to create an untraceable spiritual body, similar to a Gigai for Arrancar, that she could use to go completely into hiding. Soon after, she disappeared from Hueco Mundo completely, leaving no trace or knowledge about her possible whereabouts.

    She spent at least twenty years living in J-town as a resident, never bringing up how she had little changed. She has used various disguises early on to appear as a different person, but recently she has taken to looking normal, apparently under the belief that she is near being finished with her need to act in this particular city. She took her time going through several classes and earning money through as many jobs as she could. Currently, she is on her third or forth run through the local college. She has previously studied sciences (particularly Chemistry and Thermodynamics) and languages (specifically Spanish and Japanese), though she has dabbled in every kind of academics.

    Kayi is generally reserved and cold but she is always genuine. She tends to hate slackers and being ruled over. Her independence usually shows in the sort of work she enjoys doing. She is confident in herself and her various abilities but never flaunts them. Most important to her would be to live a quiet life in the human world and not have to deal with the silly conflicts of the Espada and the Gotei 13.

    Kayi enjoys living in places of extreme temperatures and seeing the beauty of everything. She also likes sailing and if she could, she would fly over the ocean simply to see the water all around her. She is learned about a various number of subjects and usually enjoys discussing various matters, so long as they are not at all political.

    Kayi appears as a relatively tall, thin, and moderately endowed teenage girl. She walks with a confidence in herself, though she does not move in an enticing fashion. Her brown hair reaches her shoulders, and can be arranged in various different styles depending on her profession. Based on her complexion, Kayi is either South American or Indian in descent. Of her most noticeable features is her piercing green eyes, which seem at odds with the rest of her.

    Kayi can usually be found wearing either work clothes or her school uniform. In her freedom she tends to enjoy wearing sports-type clothes, usually sweats of some kind.


    Style/Abilities:

    Kayi generally dislikes fighting. When necessary, she will usually begin with basic hand-to-hand, only drawing her sheathed sword if it becomes necessary. Only once she determines her foe is worth fighting seriously will she unsheathe her sword. While she can fight with either hand as her sword hand, she is much better with her right hand and usually fights with her right hand on her sword and her left using cero or bala blasts. She prefers to use her speed in combination with her other abilities to surprise her foes.

    Keen Intellect: Can be seen not only in her use of strategy in some fights, but also in her ability to work well in several jobs at the same time while studying.
    Enchanced Hierro: Not nearly as powerful as many others, however.
    Climate Resilience: Kayi has the unique power among hollows to be completely resistant to temperature changes of any kind, so much that she is not even affected by heavy heat or extreme cold.
    Regeneration: Kayi heals minor wounds cuts in a minute or so, and usually only requires rest to recover from great major battles.
    Enchanced Pesquisa: Kayi can completely analyze a foe's spiritual pressure by only concentrating for a few minutes. While she does not learn all their abilities, she very accurately calculates the level of their power compared to her own.
    Fast Sonído: Kayi moves extremely fast with her Sonído, though she cannot create images with it.
    Cero, Bala: Like other Arrancar of her level, Kayi can use both Cero and Bala.
    Garganta: It can be assumed that in order to escape Hueco Mundo, Kayi must have been able to create a Garganta.
    Immense Spiritual Power: As a Vasto Lorde Level Arrancar, Kayi has extremely high Spiritual Power.
    Enhanced Spiritual Pressure: Part of her hollow ability is the amplification of her spritual power release. When she releases spiritual energy, her spiritual pressure has a greater effect on those around her than it normally would.

    Her spiritual pressure functions like snow does for a car; it acts as a huge source of friction. Depending on how she is exerting it, it can act like larger banks or smaller banks, and can stretch farther or shorter distances from her body. With a close enough proximity and a strong enough release, Kayi can completely immobilize pretty much any enemy who is equal in her actual strength, though in doing so she can do pretty much nothing else.

    Because of this amplification, the spiritual pressure she emits naturally is not her actual spiritual power level, but much higher. Thus, to most observers, she appears more powerful than she actually is. She is still quite powerful, though not as powerful as most other Vasto Lorde Arrancar.


    Zanpakuto: Nieva (Snow). Appears as a nodachi with a gray handle. It has been balanced so that it can be wielded in one hand, unlike other nodachi. The tsuba appears to have groves in it so that the sheath can be attached to the sword at the guard. The blade is unnaturally cold, to the point that it cools the wounds it makes, but it is otherwise normal for its size.

    Resurrección: Its release command is "Fall", and it is released by holding it out, point extended, and dropping it while saying the command. The sword then slows as it falls and stops in mid-air, just below Kayi's hand. By turning her hand back to its normal position, the sword is released in a great burst of white light.

    In her Resurrección, Kayi's attire changes completely. She loses whatever she was wearing before and instead wears a full bodysuit of hollow bone material with fur-like cuffs and a fur collar. Her left hand bears a fingerless glove of gray while her right hand appears covered in some sort of natural bone-like structure. Her fingers on her right hand have extended slightly, but instead of a fifth small finger, a great vent, similar to a commercial airplane engine but smaller in size, is attached to the bottom of her hand. Her mask has extended to be a full pair of goggles with small spikes surrounding it. Every time she uses her Resurrección, a different blue-and-gray design covers her clothes, though it is usually rounded in shape.

    Resurrección Abilities
    • Increased Spiritual Power: Because of her increase in spiritual power, Kayi's Enchanced Spiritual Pressure can be used much more effectively, even against enemies that are more powerful than Kayi is. It still requires some concentration to make it function at higher strengths, however.

    • Carámbanos (Icicles): The vent attached to her hand can create an icicle from each end at Kayi's will. These icicles can be fired as ranged projectiles or used in melee combat as piercing weapons. When the icicle becomes damaged, it is repaired almost immediately. This instant repair can cause a weapon embedded in the ice to be permanently frozen to it.

      When fired as a ranged projectile, the icicles become energy-based projectiles, not physical-based. This means that while they can be blocked by physical strikes, they will dissipate into energy when blocked in such a fashion, similar to how a Getsuga Tensho blocked with a sword can bend around if not forced back.

    • Tiempo Frío (Cold Weather): Kayi can manipulate the temperature with her spiritual pressure, causing it to become colder. Without expending reiatsu actively, she can reduce the temperature to around 0 or -5 Celsius degrees. However, by applying spiritual pressure to reducing the temperature, Kayi can actively bring it down further below, though her absolute limit is around 170 Kelvin (~ -67 Celsius), assuming she wants to actually fight.

    • Hierro de Hielo (Iron of Ice): Kayi's Hierro is strengthened by a thin layer of strong ice all over her body that immediately recovers in a similar method to her icicles. The layer has no effect on her movement whatsoever. While the strength is not much, in combination with her Enchanced Spiritual Pressure, it is usually enough to soften or negate most attacks. When damaged, her armor will freeze over to regenerate itself. If a weapon is in contact with part of her ice skin while it is regenerating, the ice will crawl up the weapon, usually freezing and encasing it if the weapon is not removed fast enough. Because she has control of this ice, this also allows her to create an effect similar to (but much less controlled than) Ransotengai.

      While in theory she should be able to make the layer thicker, heavier, and more unwieldy, she does not have any control over the thickness of the Hierro de Hielo; it is always the same strength.

    • Cero Absoluto (Absolute Zero): In her Resurrección, Kayi can create a special cero. To do this, however, she must reduce the temperature near her true limit. Once it is as close to Absolute Zero (0 Kelvin) as possible, she can form a cero that has a temperature of nearly 0 Kelvin (Probably about .0001 Kelvin). This cero is of normal power to any other ceros, except that because of its extremely low temperature, it literally drains all heat out of whatever it touches and anything within a 5-foot radius. Such temperature drop causes either flash freezing or immediate frostbite to entire beings or structures. Because of her climate resistance, Kayi can charge such a cero as long as she likes and wield it like a melee weapon, though doing so requires a lot of concentration (I mean, she is holding a cero in her hand). Kayi only uses this ability when she is determined to utterly destroy her enemies, as it requires stretching herself to her limit to perform.

      All her ceros and balas are cold rather than hot, even when she has not reduced the temperature beyond 0 Celcius. Unless below that degree measure, the attacks will not cause any more bodily harm than normal, unless the target is especially warm.

    Ran Kang’Yi Gokudo
    Quincy: Administrator of the 13th Facility
    Reiatsu: Standard Quincy Blue
    Age: 18
    Weight: 115 lb

    Appearance: Ran appears as a typical youth with long brown hair, pulled back into a braid, and his almost never seen without his trade mark sunglasses. When not in his Quincy uniform, Ran dresses in rather fine suits when doing business, and a typical pair of baggy cargo pants and t-shirt. Ran’s Quincy outfit appears as a snow white trench coat with blue lining, baggy white cargo pants and white combat boots. His hands are covered in a pair of dark blue fingerless gloves, and his trade mark sunglasses remain on his face. In either outfit, it can be noted he possesses a particularly deep tan. It is important to note, Ran is missing a leg from just above his knee.

    Personality: Ran has a rather caustic attitude, quick to anger and even quicker to a fight. His mouth often gets him in trouble, and he has little respect for authority figures owing to his youth as a yakuza. Despite this, underneath his hard and often vitriolic attitude is a caring, soft and uncertain youth. Ran possesses a strong sense of justice, wishing to protect any and all in J-City, and feels completely accountable for each death he causes, either through his own attacks or the inability to defend against the constant threats to J-City. Behind closed doors, Ran is a quite, contemplative young man, possessing a quick wit and a far higher intellect then would otherwise be assumed. His patience is like an ocean, and even though he is quick to anger, he is slow to take insult with his own kind. Another important thing to note is that Ran hates Shinigami in all forms, no matter where they hail from.

    Quincy Bangle: Ran’s Quincy bangle appears as an overly large Celtic cross that hangs from his wrist tied to a string of Buddhist prayer beads. When activated, Ran’s bow appear as a pair of long barreled pistols. Each shot is slightly weaker than a standard Quincy bow, but pack a massive explosive force that more than makes up for it.

    Powers: Ran possesses all the powers of a Quincy at master level, owing to his rather harsh training from Hitomi. Besides these powers, Ran controls the ancient power of the Quincy, that of their full unadulterated powers, his shots completely destroying souls when they are killed. Each shot ignores even the strongest of armor or hierro. These shots cannot be regenerated through normal means, only the force of healing kido can close these wounds. Wounds incurred in this way do heal over time, but they heal at a natural(human) rate regardless of power.

    Appearance: Ran’s colors darken, his flesh a dark tan hue, his eyes turn into black pits with gleaming vivid green eyes, hidden behind white sun glasses. His hair bleaches but remains a similar length. His Quincy outfit shifts dramatically, appearing as black armor with golden gilding. Each hand ends in a massive set of ornate claws, his greaves and vambraces overly ornate. The rest of his armor almost seems form fitting and simple, almost as if they were in fact skin. Behind him hovers a set of eight massive great swords made of sparking blue azure energy, and around his waist hovers a half skit made of the same sparkling energy.

    Personality: While in this form, all the pent up rage and hate that Ran keeps…barely contained come center stage, Ran taking no precautions for human life, or life in general, destroying all in his way to attain his goals. He also seems to take little caution with his own life, ignoring all but mortal wounds.

    Powers: Ran has a rather powerful regenerative force, though it has been unable to heal his missing leg outside of the Zealot form. Each energy sword on his back is capable of acting as a Quincy bow of equal force to his non Zealot Form bows, and acting as a Seele Schneider. Apart from these additions, Ran’s bow becomes a single eye made of azure energy he can summon and will away with a single thought. This eye can fire massive energy blasts slightly stronger than his typical bow. In addition, Ran’s reaction speed increase dramatically, allowing him to block, counter, or fire on multiple targets far above that of even most Shinigami Captains.

    Quincy: Knight Templar
    Reiatsu: Blue

    Appearance: Aayan is a dark-skinned man of indeterminate age, with a shaven head and a quiet grin on his face at almost all times. His face is covered in laughter lines and also a few scars. He doesn't wear the usual Japanese Quincy uniform, instead always appearing in dirty old grey robes, made of rough canvas, which no doubt earns him odd looks amongst the general populace.

    Personality and History: Aayan is the last remaining member of the Knights Templar - not the Masonic Knights Templar, but the originals. They were a splinter group of Quincy who believed that their Quincy powers were granted to them by God, and that the Hollows were demons from Hell. It should be noted that the Knights Templar refused to learn how to "purify" Hollows rather than destroy them permanently, as this went against their beliefs that demons must be annihilated completely, and thus the Shinigami were forced to wipe them out towards the end of the war. Only Aayan survived, thanks to an innate common sense that stopped him offering himself up for martyrdom like his brothers-in-arms. Instead, he hid, and has since those days travelled the world destroying Hollows wherever he sees them. Aayan is relaxed, laid-back, usually solemn, and utterly devoted to God in his own quiet way.

    Quincy Bangle: Aayan’s Quincy bangle appears as a simple, battered brass crucifix which hangs around his neck at all times. When activated, his bow appears as - gasp - a normal Quincy bow.

    Powers: Being a Knight Templar Quincy, Aayan's shots destroy souls, and thus prevent regeneration in much the same way Ran's do. However, Aayan's reiatsu and the power behind his shots are rather weak - he makes up for this through two things. He is an unrivalled master of Hirenkyaku (the Quincy equivalent of Shunpo). And he is what one would call a "sharpshooter." He can activate and shoot his bow in a quarter of a second flat, and despite this incredible speed, still manage to shoot the wings off the back of a fly.

    Name: Merubin
    Race: Mod Soul
    Alliance: ARC

    Origins and Personality: Mod Souls are not complicated things to explain. Simply put, they are regular Artificial Souls, imbued with special abilities through subtle and painstaking manipulation of the makeup of their “soul”. So painstaking was this manipulation, in fact, and so irritated were some members of 12th Division when the order to terminate Project Spearhead was given, that some suspect that the increasing numbers of Mod Souls revealed to still be in existence cannot be simply the results of accidents.

    However, these are simply baseless suspicions, as every officer of the 12th would assure you.

    Merubin was the last in a relatively long line of prototype Mod Souls, designed for one thing – intelligence. He has no super-speed, or teleportation, or illusion-casting abilities (much to his annoyance) he is simply incredibly smart, something he communicates as often as possible.

    Despite being incredibly smart, Merubin is the stupidest of his line. The first prototype was designed to be hundreds of times smarter than its creator (a fifth seat by the name of Kinkuzo Kukakya), capable of comprehending the entirety of the universe’s meaning. When placed in a body, it screamed a lot and killed itself.
    The second, designed to be 50 times smarter, simply stared up into space
    before bursting into tears.
    The third, at 20 times smarter, could not be persuaded to do anything.

    Kinkuzo recorded the failure of these models as being down to “I guess it’s just really tough being much smarter than me”, while his Captain, in a rare moment of wakefulness, noted that their reactions “confirm much that I have long suspected about the universe”.

    Merubin, who was designed as a last-ditch attempt, is at least three times smarter than his creator, and, while chronically depressed, is not suicidal, and was therefore considered a success. His pill ended up more than five thousand miles away, in a packet of M&Ms being consumed by an American cinema-goer. After startling ‘his’ girlfriend with his sudden display of sensitivity in the middle of a chick flick (actually just Merubin’s normal depression), he was discovered building a kido cannon in a junkyard “out of total and utter boredom” by an American Reaper, and was promptly offered sanctuary. Inside a child’s toy. Still, worse things could have happened, and Merubin will gladly list them for you.

    Appearance: An off-green-blue pill. His toy body bears a striking resemblance to the latest incarnation of the Paranoid Android. (No. 6) His voice is the very essence of sonorous depression, leading others to become irritated or despairing just listening to it.

    Abilities:
    Merubin is ridiculously intelligent, claiming to have a brain "the size of a planet". He is bound by his pill's makeup to obey any direct command given to him, although his contrary nature and deep-seated disgust/depression at the state of the world, his compatriots, and himself leads him to circumvent these as much as possible. He is also much tougher than a normal Mod Soul, capable of reinforcing his metal-and-plastic body to ridiculous extents, though he still complains of aches afterward.

    Name: Gregor Raspin
    Race: Spiritually Aware Human (British)
    Age: 18
    Reiatsu: Teal

    Origin: There are numerous people who will tell you that Britain is a bit crap. The French will lambast the food, the Americans will talk about the weather (and the teeth), the Spanish will bemoan the people, and Iran will go as far as to call it the most evil country in the world.

    Ironically, Iran’s probably the closest to the mark.

    Because after more than two thousand years of being conquered (and generally assimilating the conquerors), conquering, and changing national identity and religion like a tennis ball changes direction (we’re looking at you, Tudor dynasty), Britain’s Reapers have more or less abandoned their own country, staying holed up in their afterlife castles and forts like the lords and ladies they are, while the peasants of the mortal world are largely left to fend for themselves, protected from the masked terrors of the spirit world only by Quincies, the spiritually aware, and the occasional renegade psychopomp. So for the most part Britain is Hollow country, with the largest concentration of working British Reapers being in Australia, of all places.

    Gregory Raspin, then, despite being a mercenary, a keeper of tormented souls, and a total *******, is still considered a force for good in his own country. Relatively speaking. After all, the kid binds Hollows into bottles – they may not have been purified, or even destroyed as the Merrimen Quincy would prefer, but every Hollow not devouring someone is worth something, right?

    The fact that these Hollows are then wielded against other Hollows, consuming them and becoming ever-stonger, is something that should likely worry his few advocates amongst the spiritually-aware community. As is the fact that he has, in recent times, left for pastures greener – ostensibly for a gap year, of all things.

    Personality: Gregor enjoys the company of others mostly for the chances it gives him to elevate himself with snide remarks. He might be considered a decent sort in deed (if not in word or intent) - petty theft is considered beneath him, and he will avoid needless murder or assault. However, he treats Hollows as things to be harnessed rather than people in need of help, he treats people in need of help as opportunities rather than ditto, and is totally amoral when money or other incentives are on the line.

    Appearance: At 18, Gregor has greasy, slicked back hair, growing-in sideburns and a full-on goatee, alongside a face that could be described as gaunt, were the cheekbones more defined. His eyes are a regular sea-blue, but in the wrong light you might swear the sclera were black. He generally wears jeans or shorts, depending on the weather, alongside a slogan-covered t-shirt and a trenchcoat filled with bottles and jars. He picked up a sword-cane on a recent trip to London, something which would be illegal were the blade visible to anyone outside of the spiritually aware.

    Abilities: Gregor's observed abilities place him somewhere around mid-Vice-Captain level, though this is subject to change. He has few physical abilities, only using his cane-asauchi as a last resort. Instead, he relies almost entirely on his abilities with western magic (observed to has some equivalence with Kido) and his bound Hollows. It is unknown if there is an upper limit to the number of Hollows he is able to bind and/or control, or what process goes into their binding. All that is known is that he can command them like pets, and has been seen temporarily bonding with them to use their powers as his own.


    Obutsu Dokami, Antitheist Zanpaktou Wielder

    Name: Obutsu Dokami (first name, surname)
    Race: Spiritually Aware Human (Japanese)
    Age: ~24
    Reiatsu: Sienna

    Origin: Little is known of Obutsu Dokami's life, outside of the fact that he was, until a few years ago, an ordinary J-City salaryman. One night he vanished (after a truly epic binge), and returned after three weeks, wild-eyed and bushy-haired, claiming an epiphany, before vanishing again. In recent weeks he's been seen back in J-City, sporting a new look, a negative attitude toward the spiritual, and what appears to be a zanpaktou.

    Personality: Obutsu tends to be calm, the few words he speaks being philosophical in nature - he has the quiet self-assurance of a fanatic. When in battle, however, he almost immediately becomes a wild-eyed berserker, attacking the enemy with calculated ferocity, screaming battle-cries while snarling like a maniac.

    Appearance: Obutsu wears a light brown suit-jacket along with a plain white t-shirt, two belts, and a pair of sandals. He has brown eyes and a tan, and wears his hair in a ponytail-bun. His zanpaktou is worn on the belts.

    Abilities: Obutsu displays skills typical to a Shinigami Vice Captain (outside of Kido) along with some strange abilities that can be best attributed to the nature of his zanpaktou spirit.

    Zanpaktou Spirit: Nakasutama
    Nakasutama is a constant-release type zanpaktou, taking the form of a large shamshir with three brass spheres ringing the hilt, and four fang-like protrusions extending outward from above them. Her abilities are as yet unknown. In her spirit form she takes the shape of a 'genki' woman of about six-inches with prodigious curves, brass tattoos, fangs, and a strange round hat.

    However, what is more interesting than her appearance is how very active she is - "Tama-tan" as she calls herself, is capable of manifesting physically, and often engages in conversation with people other than Obutsu, though she's yet to be seen outside of his company. This is possibly due to the fact that she is not, strictly speaking, his zanpaktou, but rather approached him during aforesaid binge with a deal - she would let him wield her, and in exchange, he would make war on the spirit world.

    “Well, I don’t know if it was an explosion. Or a bomb or something. Who’d want to bomb an orphanage? But I woke up to this huge crash and lots of bangs, and I headed down to see what was going on.”
    “And that was when you called 911.”
    “Yes. I thought it might be the kids playing some kind of joke, or something, but I wasn’t sure. And when I got down there, there was this huge hole in the wall – like a car had driven through it or something. Then another wall fell down – like it was pushed or something, so I got the children together and headed outside, like a fire drill. The fire only started - as far as I could see – about ten minutes after we were outside.”
    “A lucky break.”
    “Well, the orphanage is gone, and I don’t know who’s going to pay for it, and there’s still children missing, too many, and what am I going to tell the board or the others, and Maggie’s gone, and-“
    “Ma’am, please calm down. We’re doing all we can to find the other children, but we need time. Is the girl you mentioned...”
    “Maggie.”
    “Yes, she’s one of the missing ones, isn’t she?”
    “Y-Yes. Well, I think so.”
    “How do you mean?”
    “She’s always been a bit... Odd. Don’t look at me like that, please, I work in an orphanage, we get our fair share of weird cases, but she always seemed a cut above the rest. Always really nice and sweet, voice like an angel, and then something wouldn’t go her way and you’d swear you were looking at the little girl from The Ring.”
    “Go on.”
    “Well, as I was getting the children together I noticed she was missing. Once they were all out on the lawn, I started to go back to look for her, but then someone said they’d seen her running off.”
    “And you believed them?”
    “Samantha had no reason to lie. She’d always been closer to Maggie, probably because she was a bit of a loner herself. Always saying she could see ghosts.”
    “I see. So she has something of an imagination, then.”
    “Yes, but I didn’t think she’d lie about that.”
    “And you do now?”
    “Well, afterwards I asked her what direction she’d gone – I couldn’t really leave the kids until the police had gotten here, and she pointed and said that she and the monster had gone that way.”
    “The monster?”
    “I asked. She drew a picture for me, of this sort of, big gorilla-dinosaur thing, with a white mask and glowing eyes. She said Maggie ran off with it.”
    “...Ma’am, children often ‘rationalise’ people that they perceive as dangerous into monsters. Strangers, or-“

    Artemis

    Artemis is a little bit of an oddity compared to the other Olympians who seem to have largely been drawn from the ranks of shinigami, hollows, or other spiritual beings who were then injected with a bit of the Void to make them who they were. The person who Artemis used to be is all but forgotten, a distant figment that Artemis no longer dwells on because that girl is un-important because she couldn't protect herself. Who Artemis is now is much better then the psychic human known as Miyo Shizume and for Artemis to think back on that period of her life with any sort of contemplation would require that she care about the past. Needless to say Artemis is very much an individual who lives in the present and doesn't dwell on past failures.

    Being given a second chance by Harubo is just icing on the cake, even if the flighty Artemis must undergo certain assignments from time to time, she's largely left to her own devices and wouldn't prefer it any other way. A tall and slender girl (5'7"), Artemis seems frail to the un-knowing eye with long white hair that shimmers like the moon-light in a pool of water tied out of her face into a pony-tail to reveal the purple eyes that take in everything with the same grain of salt. Some would say that Artemis is dressed a little boyishly, a sleeveless jerkin with a short kilt-like skirt below the ran belt, but many more would know how very un-wise it was to say something like that to her face considering there's no mistaking Artemis as anything but a beautiful girl who looks to be in her late teens (but with spiritual beings, who can tell) with a graceful quality not much seen.

    Personality:

    Artemis is a girl who takes a far too flippant attitude to things which are likely to be far more serious then she lets on with her facial expressions. Cocky to a fault, she doesn't like to be proven wrong and has a tendency to lash out violently when people, verbally or physically, challenge her abilities or ideals of what is and what isn't. It has yet to get her into trouble, but probably will soon.

    That said, she's also a bit of a cry-baby, bursting into tears and fleeing back to her Temple whenever things don't go her way, which is rare oddly enough, and can almost seem childish to those who don't know her better. A free spirit with a canny mind hidden behind that first impression, a curiousity that has lead her to pursue seemingly meaningless things purely because that's what she feels should be done.

    Abilities:

    Artemis' abilities revolve primarily around her six 'wishes' and aid her in the style of combat that she prefers. The running battle where her more then impressive speed will often leave her opponents in the dust and peppered with arrow shafts.

    First Wish: Purity: While Artemis is proud to boast that she will forever remain 'chaste' and 'pure', not many can connect the dots at first between what she says and what it actually means. Artemis' power is almost directly connected to the state that her body is in, being at it's most powerful when there isn't a single wound on her and going down-hill from there. Not a quick process and not too drastic at first, nevertheless people who fight Artemis are sure to notice that she runs out of steam quickly as a battle goes on if she's been injured. If they can manage to do that though.

    Second Wish: Hounds of Leto: By creating a reishi-frame and then coating it with whatever materials that are in the surrounding area, Artemis is able to create 'hounds' that can track her foes and help harry them in battle. Unfortunately, they are only as strong as the material they are created out of and not all hounds are created equal. So far Artemis is only able to summon and control three at a time, but with practice she should be able to increase that number. (Note: the material their made out of is important. Glass-hound? A non-threat to most shinigami. A hound made out of the remnants of impenetrable bankai armor or seki-seki stone? Best tell your loved ones you loved them or settle in for a tough fight.)

    Third Wish: Moonlight Stags
    : Back within her own Temple, Artemis keeps a small staple of large stags with hides white as the moon-light and antlers like polished diamond with ghostly flames dancing about their hooves. These stags (five of them) serve as Artemis' mount in combat and primary meanings of transportation and are quite fast (Possessing speed on par with above-average shunpo) even with the burden of an Olympian on their backs. This allows for Artemis to focus on actual combat, enabling her to fire many more arrows at a time then she'd normally be able to and keep track of more opponents. If separated from her stags then an opponent would notice two things. One, she's much faster without the stag and two, she can't fire as many arrows since she needs to focus on dodging attacks and maneuvering herself rather then letting a stag do all the work. A weakness, perhaps, but also a double-edged sword for the un-wary.

    Fourth Wish: Gift of Life: A fearsome power, and only one she mostly uses in a pinch (and needs to escape) or when she can't be bothered to fight, Artemis can compel and manipulate the spirits within those objects that have them. By focusing on this 'Wish', Artemis calls forth the spirit of a person's zanpakuto in a human form and can send it into battle for up to half an hour. Or until it is slain in battle at which point it returns to where it came from. These spirits usually hold a particular hate for the wielder of the zanpakuto that has their spirits and lose some of their fighting edge when facing anyone else. These personifications of the spirit possess all the powers of the zanpakuto from which they came and perhaps a few more that even their wielder's don't know about yet (up to the player of the character). Such combat can be extremely trying but it's equally tiring on Artemis who can maintain three spirits at a time if she does nothing else.

    Fifth Wish: Silver Bow: The most obvious of Artemis' gifts is the bow slung over her back that looks as if it's crafted out of pure silver with matching arrows in a plain quiver on her hip. (Note, the quiver never seems to run out) Unlike other bows, such as a Quincy's own, it is entirely physical in nature and empowered by Artemis' reiatsu to serve as a temporary parrying device if a situation should demand it. However it also differs in that it fires actual arrows at her opponents, even if the arrows look to be made out of moonlight, and Artemis' aim is that of a god...or maybe a demon. Her arrows are extremely accurate and able to pierce the most bizarre of defenses with startling ease, even if the lack the raw power to capitalize on that unique ability. Perhaps because of that fact, Artemis has focused on being able to fire as many arrows as she can as quickly as she can and takes far too much delight in shooting an opponent's own ranged attack out of the air. Even kido spells or cero-like attacks. Despite this gift of marksmanship, she can only stop as many attacks as she can fire arrows and thus it is far from being a perfect defense against all ranged attacks. On the offensive side, she can unleash a veritable stream of arrows when on stag-back and off her mount the storm of shafts can utterly perforate an enemy if they aren't careful.

    Sixth Wish: Gift of Freedom: The least noticeable of Artemis' gifts, it is difficult to constrain or bind Artemis whither it is with a kido spell or simple rope. It is not impossible, but those expecting to contain Artemis for any long period of time is likely in for a rude, arrow-filled surprise.

    Hunter's Sense: Not truly a 'gift' in the nature of her other ones, Artemis possesses very acute senses and even in the ability to detect reishi it's very difficult to escape her notice. It helps her to track down quarry but opponents with enough reiatsu can potentially stun her if it overwhelms her senses.

    Transcendance

    "Telum ex porro promontorium, Artemis." (Arrow from the furthest peak, Artemis)

    Every now and again, when Artemis is beneath the light of moon, she is able to release the true depths of her power and prove her true potential as the Huntress. While in this transcended state, Artemis' speed increases to almost ridiculous levels and she discards most of her other gifts in favor of raw archery in order to keep things interesting between her and an enemy. However, it isn't only her speed that gets a boost, her arrows become increasingly more dangerous as Artemis remains under the moonlight and with the speed she can fire them at...Well...it is not in an opponent's best interests to battle Artemis beneath a moon where she is able to tap into this awe-inspiring power.

    Appearance:
    Maru Karabai is tall and vaguely intimidating, with long, lank hair, a hawkish nose, thick bags around his eyes, a downturned slash of a mouth and a semi-trimmed goatee. He wears the standard shinigami uniform, often mud-spattered and ratty around the legs, alongside a priest's thick-beaded necklace and a western-style broad-rimmed hat.

    Personality:
    The only reason he's not abrasive is because he tries to have as little to do with others as possible. Otherwise, he's a study in contradictions - religiously dedicated, yet possessed of a love of money. Serene in his beliefs, yet acerbic in his duties. Willing to spend hours over the dead, yet cynical to the core.

    He seldom smiles, but often snarls. Although hardly ever seen "happy", he can be seen to be at peace when attending to his duties - the preparation of the corpses of shinigami for their funerary rites, be they burial, cremation, or something more esoteric. He despises the defilers of corpses (one of few things that enrage him more than the incompetence of his lessers), and for this reason is opposed to 12th Division and even some members of 4th.

    The only other pursuit that seems to hold any appeal to him is the pursuit of money - he is incredibly miserly, and hoards his much-loved cash as though he's saving it for something.

    Zanpakuto: "Erokai"
    Erokai takes the shape of a chokuto, with a plain sheathe and handle of dark brown and black. Its only ornamentation are a few religious symbols carved into the sheathe, and an old-looking coin set in the handle. Maru hates its name, and longs for the day when he acheives Bankai and can stop using it to release.

    Shikai command: "Bury corpses in the night, Erokai!"
    Erokai turns into a large, sharp-edged spade roughly hammered from some dull metal, with a thick wooden shaft carved with religious symbols and text, and rounded handle studded with dull coins. Maru wields Erokai like an monk's spade in this form, although in this case the "spade" is rather more literal. By slamming Erokai into the ground, tip-first, Maru can exhibit the following abilities:

    "The Proper Burial of the Self" - Maru sinks into the ground, to a depth of up to six foot. From here he may tunnel through the earth at high-speeds, dragged by Erokai.
    "The Improper Burial of the Foe" - Maru's enemy sinks into the ground. Maru may stop their "burial" whenever he desires, allowing for different depths, but cannot bury a foe more than six-foot beneath the surface of the ground.

    Bankai: Unacheived.

    Dionysus of the Olympians: Ranmaru Gokudo
    Reiatsu: Magenta
    Age: 18

    Abilities:
    Dionysus was originally a rare Bount/Quincy hybrid that passed on at birth. He is constantly in his Transcendant form due to lack of self-control, a sign of power that cannot be contained, perhaps both, or maybe neither. Who can really tell? While the current Dionysus is unable to summon a Quincy bow, he has a staff for doll named Thyrsus.

    The Embrace:
    Dionysus has taken the typical Ransōtengai ability of the Quincy, and turned it into a tool often used to manipulate objects and empower and/or 'possess' females. By temporarily binding a willing female (otherwise referred to as a Maenad) to his Reiryoku, Dionysus can pour his power into them. Doing so can grant even a mundane being the power of a single digit seated officer and the boost to one already powerful is equally impressive. However, while quite potent conceptually, many would rather avoid the Embrace given that Ranmaru may not only freely opt to take manual control of an empowered Maenad's body (and abilities) but he may continue to do so until he wills the link broken or the linked pair are no longer on the same plane of existence.

    Impulsive Step:
    Dionysus is a true master of the Quincy Hirenkyaku and isn't shy about showing it. Being one to casually abuse the utility of the skill to even cross trivial distances, he is often an annoying foe to attempt to catch. A Maenad may find themselves forcefully moved by an extension of this ability as Dionysus may resort to puppeteer antics either in order to save her life, or simply because it amuses him to do so.

    Imbibe the Spirits:
    Not only does Dionysus gather spiritrons from the environment, he also absorbs them from energy attacks (lesser blasts are drained completely while the strongest may only be slightly weakened) and even the Reiryoku of spiritually awakened beings (with said entities drained or weakened as energy attacks). This energy can be used to empower, and heal, him as well as his Maenads.

    Orgia:
    Dionysus' spin on the Quincy final form grants him the ability to push his Maenads to the extremes of potency. In addition to the typical traits and benefits of the final form, he may also fully channel Imbibe the Spirits through the Maenads so that they may fully be able to leech away the spiritual energy around them. Woe to they that find themselves surrounded, and thus crippled (or even consumed) by, a Maenad Orgia.

    Thyrsus:
    Thyrsus is a staff wrapped in grape vines and topped with a pine cone. From the cone, Dionysus can will forth a spiritron 'wine' that serves as a short term imitation of Orgia that can affect any who even so much as come in contact with it (rather than just females). While under the influence of Thyrsus' wine, a character is constantly healed, and gains a significant power boost across the board, for a pre-set number of posts. Once that target number of posts are made by the character, and the effects of the wine have worn off, they spend an equal number of posts drained as per the crippling effects of the Quincy Final Form.

    The Shrine
    Unique Geographical Location and Super Weapon

    Known Powers: The Shrine, being a unique and powerful weapon designed at the tail end of the Quincy/Shinigami War possesses many unique powers

    Shield: The Shrine possess a powerful city wide shield capable of deflecting nearly and any attack delivered upon it. The exact energy needed to pierce this shield is unknown.

    Teleportation Interference: Due to the massive powers involved with the Shrine, direct teleportation into the Shrine Complex is impossible to those not directly linked to its computer, which requires being a Quincy. This includes, but is not limited to garganta and void portals.

    Portal: The Shine allows any keyed into its unique energy and computer systems to open portals that can link to any point or location in and around J-City. It might be possible to open portals elsewhere but they are widely unstable and thus dangerous to attempt. Ran and Hitomi are the only beings known to be able to use this power at this time.

    Mobile Defense System: The MDS acts as the first line of defense for J-City, each unit capable of producing a mini-shield around itself, or another single target or fire on a single foe with a small Quincy bow. These bows are slightly less powerful than a standard Quincy, but are still quite menacing to those who seek to attack the City. Apart of their battle capabilities, they monitor all activities in the city and send live video feeds to the Shrine Main Computer

    Absorption: Being of Quincy Design the Shrine absorbs all latent spiritons in the area. If activated, this includes all forms of kido, special attacks and even several standard methods of combat. All energy converted in this manner fuel the Shrine.

    Quincy Bow: The Shrine, despite its appearance, is in fact a massive Quincy Bow. The exact power output of the weapon is unknown, but it can be assumed the bow itself is massively powerful as it is linked to twelve Quincy Bangles, and was designed as a super weapon to end the war.

    Shrine Computer: Owing in part to Ran’s technical knack and the original combat computer, the Shrine is a massive library for spiritual beings, information and combat statistics for anyone monitored by the system. The A.I for the system is helpful, capable of displaying any and all information that the computer has compiled so long as it remains within the Shrine.

    Other Powers: While the listed powers are known, it is possible the Shrine has far more potential than that which is listed above. Only time, plot and other factors can tell.


    That would be a quick sum up of the non-plot powers the Shrine has on hand. What do you think and if anything, what is there I missed.

    Isara Wessmer: Ex-Septima Espada

    Physical Appearance
    Isara is a slender woman that looks about 17 or 18. She doesn't have that much muscle but is amazingly agile. She is 5ft 9in, has bright blue eyes, and sandy blonde hair. Sadly, Isara's hollow mask ran across her forehead and held back her long hair before it was broke by another Espada member. The remaining piece is located over the left side of her forehead. Her uniform is usually in perfect condition but at present, the uniform is badly tattered. When Isara's hollow mask broke her powers were greatly restricted and resulted in her losing her Espada status. Her number which is located over her collarbone has a burned X mark going through, but is still visible. Isara's hollow hole is located on the right side of her chest.

    Personality
    No one but the older members of the Espada knew what Isara's personality was like before her mask broke. Isara is extremely shy and ostracizes herself from almost everybody as a result. She does however love to be around animals and small hollows that are of no threat to her. Isara is also a night owl and prefers to do stuff at night when the moon is out.

    Abilities

    Shadow Travel: Isara lost many of her abilities after her mask broke. One of her only remaining abilities is Shadow Travel. Shadow Travel allow her to transport herself from one area to another using a shadow. As long as their a shadow where she thinks of traveling to, she is capable of getting their.

    Other Abilities: Aside from her Cero that's fired from her hands, Isara's other abilities became unusable when her mask broke or is uncapable of using them at this moment.

    Zanpakutou
    Umbra-Vereor is Latin for "Shadow of Fear". Isara's Zanpakutou takes the form of a longsword with a serrated edge running about a third of the blades length. The guard on the hilt resembles the Moon in its Crescent phase.

    Shikai - "Descend into Darkness, Umbra-Vereor
    Essentially, Isara's Shikai turns her Zanpakutou into a double-edged dualblade that with the consistency of Onyx. The Shikai also turns Isara's mask into a specialized lense that covers her eyes that can monitor an individuals fear. In her mask current state though the lense only covers her right eye. Her shadow also appears even in the black of night along with her Zanpakutou allow her to use:

    This is a mid-range Garganta that allow Isara to use her shadow and any other object visible shadow to attack the opponent. The extent of the shadow depends on the size of the shadow. (i.e. If a pebble makes a shadow the attack can only reach about a foot at max. The shadow of a tree however would be able to reach out almost 100 meters.)

    Resurreción Segunda Etapa
    Isara is unable to do Resurreción Segunda Etapa because of her broken mask. Until her mask can be repaired if even possible she will likely never be able to release into this state.

    Exiled Shinigami: Ex Member of the Kido Corp
    Reiatsu: Dim Grey


    Appearance: Outside of his personal mod soul, Morii Kanji is a tall man with long wavy black hair and a long soul patch and goatee that is often times braided, a skull bead holding it together. He wears a small pair of glasses at the edge of his nose and is often seen smoking an opium pipe, though it is uncertain if he is in fact smoking such a substance or something else entirely. His sleepy face and ready grin seems to indicate he is under the influence something, though his almost manic attitude is slightly off putting when placed against his appearance. He is often dressed in an overly long sleeved black haori with a white kido mark on his back. This is more than likely meant to mock his previous affiliation with Soul Society.

    Personality: As noted above, Morri Kanji has a somewhat manic personality, always happy and cheerful in whatever endeavor that he does. This of course is a sort of ruse, used to disarm opponents and friends alike to allow Morii Kanji a better edge should combat erupt. In combat, he is a quick thinker and battle strategist, able to form elaborate schemes in the matter of seconds and utilizing the surrounding area to his advantage. Morii Kenji seems to have a fascination with mortal video games and similar forms of entertainment.

    Zanpaktou: Morii Kanji’s zanpaktou appears as a typical katana. Its sheath is a dark crimson red with a single white tassel hanging from its tang. Its handle is wrapped in a white cord. Despite his activation of his Shikai, the zanpaktou's name is not in fact Tsubame. It is in fact Taijitu.

    Shikai: Glide on air and crash like waves, Tsubame!-Despite being an ex-member of the Kido Corp, Morii Kanji does not possess a kido type zanpaktou. His zanpaktou changes only slightly, the blade and handle growing more square, the blade’s tip appearing as if it was cut off, both edges growing sharp. It has been noted it can fire off similar blasts to bala.

    Aside from its strange energy blasts, Kanji’s zanpaktou grants him the ability of metamorphoses over his own physical structure or that of one hit by his blade. Such changes are complete and can only be changed by another use of the zanpaktou’s ability. Thankfully this is not the case used on others, changes lasting only several minutes at most. This power cannot be used on non-organic materials.

    Bankai: Balance of Heaven and Earth-Morii Kanji’s zanpaktou remains rather unremarkable, the hilt growing into a massive spear handle, the blade growing larger but keeping its same rectangle shape and the red tassel growing into a horse hair plume. The truly marked change is a massive spinning yin yang that appears behind Kanji, as tall as himself and far wider, extending well past his shoulders. While in bankai, Kanji has the ability to redirect or cancel kinetic energy with an equal or near equal force. This ability only affects non-organic material and cannot affect kido or ranged attacks, and all attacks must be successfully countered to be re-directed our cancled. Particularly powerful attacks, regardless if countered and thrust back on its wielder or negated, always deal damage to Morii Kanji. This ability can not be used on multiple attacks, such as an ability that attacks from more then one direction, even if the attacks are blocked with the spear.



    Other Powers: Morii Kenji, despite not being a member of either the Gotei 13, and thus unable to be a member of the 12th Division, has a fascination with all things mechanical and technical. While he has no particular claim over such in Soul Society he has spent his time in the mortal world creating various items for use by exiled Shinigami, Vizards, and other spiritual beings for quite some time. An item of note is a doll like gigai that appears as a white humanoid body with no eyes or other facial features save for a large red smile. Alongside his knack for creating near useless devices, Morii Kanji is rather well versed in the powers of Kido, and has created more than several kido spells of his own. Each is uniquely Kanji’s kido, only a select group currently knowing such techniques. Morii Kanji owns a small shop in J-city, where he is based out of for all his spiritual Clients.

    Zanpaktou Spirit: Taijitu-Taijitu is a form made of equal colors, black and white. Red and Blue. He is never the same apperance but he is always perfectly balanced in color, gender and shape.

    Appearance: Hades looks to be about the age of a young teenager, with blonde hair. Half of his face is hidden with a black, ornate mask that blocks all sight, with chains attached to the bracelets on his wrists. He wears a hooded, black robe that covers most of his body. Underneath it all he is covered in ritualistic tattoos that are spread to every inch of his body except his face and hands. He is constantly carrying around a machine-like book covered in ancient runes, with a clock face on the front cover. Red strips of paper lined with runes circle his body.

    Personality: Hades tends to be short with anyone he speaks to, not revealing much, if anything. Though when he does speak at length, it tends to be cryptic.

    Reiatsu: Dark Slate Gray.


    Powers:
    Gonzui: This ability draws in souls of Pluses over a large radius (about a mile). He doesn't actually consume them, but compresses them into spiritual material to use for his other powers.

    Libris Mortis: Hades has the ability to create numerous types of beings from the souls drawn in from Gonzui.
    • Zombies: Mindless drones. (They can run) Chance of infecting Pluses and weaker spiritual beings with similar status.
    • Skeletons: Quick skirmishers. Can rebuild themselves, if all the bones aren't destroyed.
    • Mummies: Slow, some hierro, paralyze foes with their touch.
    • Dullahan: Armored. Headless knights, powerful (seated shinigami level).
    • Fallen Angel: Fliers. Ranged combatants, use kido.
    • Ghosts: Partly incorporeal. Acts somewhat like a shield: Can't be passed through, physical blows are inneffective, but Kido destroys them.


    Hades can also control normal Hollows; I.E. anything up to Gillians.
    The souls can be used to regenerate Hades' wounds.


    Transcendence: Memento Mori
    Hades can consume all the souls gathered with Gonzui, granting him massive power. Unknown as of yet.


    Other powers:
    Hades' book holds many dark secrets; some of which are spells akin to kido, which he gathered and developed over his long existence. He also holds all known kido and variations thereof in his book.

    Words of Destruction
    • Alpha: Fires a destructive beam that is on par with a gran rey cero.
    • Omega: Summons up a spectral black hole. Uses all of the souls Hades has gathered with Gonzui. The power of the blast is dependant on how many souls have been gathered.


    Words of Binding
    • Alpha: Wraps the target in spiritual fiber.
    • Delta: Surrounds the target in a triangle of golden chains.



    Minions:
    Hades is almost always surrounded by the five ghosts that provide a physical barrier for him: Acheron, Cocytus, Phlegethon, Lethe, and Styx.

    In addition, he has a spectral Gillian known as Charon that sometimes follows him around, completely immune to physical damage (blocks it like a ghost), but vulnerable to powerful enough kido.

    Akiko is a rather small girl, slightly below average in both height and weight. She is a natural Blonde, quite a rare color in Japan, as well as having light Hazel eyes instead of the normal darker brown. Akiko wears a pair of slightly aged, but fashionable glasses which are constantly sliding down her nose. Akiko can usually be found wearing some variety of hoodie, most commonly a plain white hoodie that remains remarkably clean despite the number of times she has dirtied it in some way. She is also fond of shoulder-slung Messenger bags, as they allow quick access to her Sketch pad and other things while not sacrificing carrying capacity. Akiko's wardrobe also carries a Gothic influence, expressed through black fingernail polish, a cat-bell choker, and her somewhat 'scene' haircut. She does not subscribe to any particular fashion niche, however, just going with what she personally likes and what she can afford at the time.

    Personality: Akiko is very reserved and somewhat shy, easy to embarrass and not very assured of herself. Much of her childhood, and indeed a solid portion of her current early-adult life, was spent reading and dreaming about books. Akiko is at heart a Dreamer; she is possessing of an extremely vivid and often self-directed Imagination, as well as a good heart and a compassionate instinct. Her enjoyment of Books and Manga has benefited her greatly as she has slowly started becoming aware of the Spiritual side of the world, since through her whole life she has been dreaming and half-wishing that the fantasy stories could be true.

    Akiko is not a girl of wealth, and as such has had to cut corners and do without at times to stretch her savings far enough to last through College. However she still leads a comfortable life, mostly making up the difference by pursuing her interests and curiosity at the Public Library and other venues. A rare example of such, Akiko enjoys playing Videogames and is actually quite skilled, though she has never been able to own a system younger than five years or so. Her online screenname is always some variation on "Anastasia."

    Skills: Akiko is highly imaginative, and as such excels at creating Drawings and Short Stories that draw on her creativity. Akiko has been drawing since she was very young, and is what some people may describe as preternaturally skilled with a pencil. Though she is decent in other forms, such as painting and the like, she has never found as much enjoyment in them as with a simple pencil set. She is also rather tech-proficient, though she hasn't had the means to own a high-end computer or the like, and so her hands-on experience is somewhat limited to older systems and to what she can access in public libraries or at friends' houses.

    Finally, Akiko has a very strong sense of Empathy, seeming to either 'read' or to 'just know' about how another person is feeling or how others feel toward them. She is quite unassuming with this gift, however, understanding that she can be completely wrong about someone (though it has been a while since that happened...).

    Purifier: Shahrazad - Shahrazad is a large talwar that Madhu wears on his hip regardless of outfit

    Apperance: Staff Sergeant Madhu Das is clearly of Indian American descent, his skin a dark chocolate tan. He dyes his hair often, despite being in a military organization, typically bleaching it. He is rather loose with dress code, encouraging his men to wear whatever is comfortable in the South Western Deserts and flat lands. He himself dresses in a light military trench and heavy combat boots or a simple lungi and bare feet. Many have likened his face to that of a fox, his eyes almost always slited, and a large smile plastered on his face(Ya, Think Ichimaru Gin)

    Personality: Madhu Das is rather slack with personal command within his own unit, allowing his members far more leeway than others, allowing them to wear what they wish as noted above and even granting them extra “shore leave”. These loose rules are more akin to privileges, harsher disciple being meted out should a member of his squad falter in his duties. He is quick to forgive, and such punishments never last long but are enforced with iron clad law. Outside of his internal leadership, Madhu follows orders as best as possible, more worried about the end results then the steps getting there. Paper work is done as an afterthought, and there is a running myth about his level of poverty due to lowered wages and other similar punishments. Outside of the ARC, Madhu is quick to laugh and joke, and is fairly laid back. It is a rare sight to see him lose his temper or his smile.

    Augmentation: Tell me a story, Shahrazad- Madhu Das holds his talwar straight out, horizontal with the ground. The air suddenly grows dry as the blade turns into sand. The blade is useless as a striking implement, the sand shattering and dispersing, only to reform into the sword. Madhu can concentrate and force the sand to compact, and use it as a whip to grab onto things, but it remains useless as a weapon. Upon activating the blades Shikai, Madhu can speak allowed a second activation, forcing the sand to break apart and fly around him like a massive sand storm. This sand gets in the lungs and eyes of all he fights, obscuring vision and sounds. The sandstorm extends at most fifty feet around Madhu but he can shorten this distance, even forming it into shapes. He can direct the winds into powerful eroding, flesh ripping blasts, even the strongest armors being torn away by the blasts. Interesting to note, the sheath of the sword remains, acting as a powerful club. Strikes from this club are searing hot like the desert sun, and its edges appear almost molten.

    Advanced Augmentation: One Thousand Down. One to Go!- The air around Madhu grows cold, as the sky turns into the dark blue of twilight, almost as if the whole day had suddenly passed in a daze of excitement and revelry. The air grows dry, and frigid and the smell of a desert night over powers all but the strongest of odors. While in bankai, the winds of the raging sandstorm grows die out. The sand forming around Madhu like a second skin before fading into the air like smoke. The sheath of his blade turns into a large khanda, the edge glitering with salt and ice, the blade itself made from metal the color of the night sky filled with stars. While in Bankai, Madhu can will his body, either singular parts or he whole, into sand. While in this form Zanpaktou that are tied to the elements of water or ice deal massive damage, forcing his body to revert to flesh and blood. He can summon massive sand storms far more powerful then that of his Shikai. His blade no longer has a heated edge, though a faint cold mist seeps from its surface. He can control any and all sand in the area to form structures or extra weapons, the strength of such items soley dependent on their size. Smaller objects are denser and are thus harder, while structures shatter from most hand to hand attacks, acting merely as first line defenses.

    Purifier Spirit: Shahrazad is a woman of unsurpassed beauty, often times seen laying on a large set of pillows. She is dressed in sari the color of twilight. The center is the dark blue of a twilight night, but grows to softer lighter colors at its edges. Stars and a moon are often seen on its surface. She wears a veil over her face and her eyes are a sharp silver color. May have called her a genie in the ARC, and are quick to assume Madhu's luck owes to her nature.

    Appearance: Jim, surprisingly for his nickname, is in fact fairly skinny. His face is grizzled and weatherbeaten, but frequently broken by a smile, showing teeth that are in quite good condition. His eyes are a washed-out grey, and his hair is a sandy brown. He typically wears a button-down shirt, old jeans, and a ten-gallon hat. As mentioned below, he's seldom seen without Vera.

    Personality: In a few ways, Jim takes after his CO. He's generally pretty easygoing, and seldom gets particularly angry, even in a line of work like his. He has very traditionalist morals, resulting in him being unwilling to fight, endanger, or curse or spit in front of women or children. He's a fairly skilled poker player, and doesn't cotton to card sharks.

    Purifier: Vera- Vera is an old, beaten up hunting rifle. Jim typically carries her over his shoulder, and cares for her lovingly, claiming that she's the most accurate rifle in the whole damned ARC. It takes him a couple of seconds to line up a shot at any considerable range, but the shots fired are equal to a high-powered cero. Vera also makes a very good club.

    Shikai: Let's roll on outta here, Vera.
    Vera transforms into an Armadillo Cloak. A cloak of tough hide wraps around Jim's back and over his head, granting him great protection. When he wraps himself into a ball, he can then spin at extremely high speeds before shooting off, generating enough force to severely injure just about anyone, or cause severe structural damage to the area around him. The only limits to this technique are: the brief period of charging necessary before he can spin off (typically about a second), the fact that he can only move in straight lines while using this technique, and the fact that he gets nauseated after about five shots.

    Purifier Spirit: Vera is a stereotypical wholesome 1950s American housewife. She's one of the reasons for his backwards morals, as she harps upon him when he doesn't follow them. Other than that, however, she's a warm, considerate individual.

    Other abilities: Slim Jim is an excellent marksman, highly proficient with most Bakudo, and, while not terribly skilled at Hakudo, a tough son of a gun who can take quite a beating, and outlast some opponents through sheer grit.

    Appearance: Haruna appears to be a young woman in her mid-20s, with short magneta hair, and who wears the Kido Corps standard outfit.

    Zanpaktou: Ryuu. Ryuu actually isn't seen in its sealed state, although it defenitely has one, as it isn't a pernament release type.

    Shikai:
    “The winds blow in the sky
    The water flows in the sea
    The earth stands in the mountains
    The fire burns in the trees.
    Ryuu!”


    When activated, Haruna's Zanpaktou takes the form of a Humanoid Dragon about her height, which can fire beams of energy about the power level of a Sōkatsui with incantation. It can charge and fire several of these at once.

    It can also engage in physical combat, but Haruna prefers not to do this.

    Bankai: "Ryuujin!"

    Haruna's Bankai is a several-stories tall version of her Shikai. In this form, its beams are at the same power level as a full incantation Hiryugekizokushintenraiho. However, Haruna only uses her Bankai when it is really needed, as she is not in full control of it. Between the massive collateral damage and the fact that her Zanpaktou gets annoyed at her if she uses Bankai frivolously (and the fact that she is quite kind-hearted), she almost never uses it.

    Zanpaktou spirit: Ryuu's spirit takes the form of a dragon (suprise), and her inner mindscape is a forest. He is in control of what happens there, and the best way to tell whether he's annoyed with her is whether she can move in her mindscape. If she can't, he is.

    Caroline refuses to let people push themselves too far beyond their limits if she can heal them. She is very knowledgeable about the human body and its limits, and can easily tell when someone is pushing him or herself too hard.

    Besides medical technology, Caroline is completely illiterate in computer operation. She even wears an analog watch just so she doesn't have to deal with the possibility of reading a digital display. She can, however, operate a cell phone, but only as a portable phone.

    Deep down, Caroline really cares about everyone, even if she seems gruff on the exterior. She tends not to be particularly open with the truth, even to those she trusts. This tends to get her into some trouble. She is fiercely loyal to her superiors and her comrades. When honor comes in the way of saving someone's life, she would rather give up her honor than see someone die. Caroline also has a "saving people thing".

    In her spare time, Caroline reads books. Lots and lots and lots of books. She is also a fan of strategic games, particularly Chess (and variants) and Go.

    Brown hair with dyed pink highlights (not that anyone is born with pink hair), usually held up with a white bow at the back of her head. When released to full length, her hair reaches about an inch below her shoulder. Emerald eyes that seem to change between striking blue to ocean-colored depending on the light and, sometimes, Caroline's mood. She is Greek in background, besides her hair. She generally sticks to a uniform that allows her ease of moment. Her right leg is always wrapped in bandages for some reason. She always wears a necklace with a key on it and a bracelet of intricate design, and will usually refuse to answer questions about these two objects.


    Style/Abilities:

    Being a dedicated healer, Caroline is not particularly skilled in any particular form of combat. While viable with zanjutsu, she is by no means an expert. Most of her combat abilities involve moving between wounded allies and ensuring that they get back up to fight as soon as possible. Caroline is a viable combatant with Kido, but nowhere near the skill of the more masterful users. Her main purpose when it comes to combat is healing.

    Purifier: Bennu. Takes the form of a khopesh with a slightly longer hilt, one that could be held with both hands. In addition, the hilt has an orange-red tassel at the pommel and is adorned with ornamental etchings of both fire and feathers.

    Shikai: Its Shikai command is “Rise brilliantly”, usually performed by holding the blade in front of her body with both hands then slashing downward to the right and then up and to the left. Once released, the sword glows red-orange, then a wing-shaped guard forms around the hilt. Additionally, the etchings on the hilt fill in with red, looking even more like fire. The tassel also grows longer.

    Shikai Special Ability When slashed, Bennu throws blades of fire in the direction of its attacks. Based on the lengths of the slashes, Bennu can throw larger or smaller blades of fire. They cannot be controlled after they are released, and generally fly in an arc similar to a boomerang, except that they do not return.

    In addition, Bennu can grow fire wings from the guard. These wings envelop Caroline and seem to constantly revitalize her during battle. Minor wounds seem to be erased completely by fire, while greater injuries can be healed quickly compared to normal kido healing. These abilities tend to greatly prolong fights against her and her unit. She can use the fire provided by the wings to heal others as well, though this requires more active effort and energy. By spending her own energy, Caroline can increase the size of the wings, allowing them to envelop multiple people and heal them. In addition, the wings on the blade allow it to function like the flying wand of Yoruichi.

    Because of the generally revitalizing powers of Bennu's fire, the fire slashes from the blade can also be used to revitalize allies, though Caroline cannot use both damaging slashes and revitalizing slashes in the same group of attacks. She must stop using one and prepare by telling Bennu which she would like to use, otherwise it defaults to damaging attacks.

    Kido Corps 4th Seat, Kitoku Nishi

    Reiatsu Color: White

    Appearance: Kitoku is a average height (6'0") with an un-imposing build and ordinary features that makes it deceptively simple for him to blend into a crowd. With short black hair and sunken eyes, people who don't know him have said that he possesses a somewhat menacing air to him. The people who do know him, realize that aura of malice is entirely warranted and that Nishi could very well be on a short-fuse at any given moment.

    Personality: While he seems bland and un-preposing, Kitoku is an ambitious man with a keen awareness of his own abilities and of those around him. Quiet and straight to the point, he doesn't beat around the bush and always lays things down how they are. Which makes him all the more scary actually. There's just something cold-blooded and reptilian about the way he looks at people that's deeply chilling, and because of this people seated higher then him tend to have an unreasonable fear of him and tend to think that he's out to get them.

    Maybe he is.

    Zanpaktou: Kankatsu Ansatsusha (Cunning Assassin) is a zanpakuto that is slightly longer then most others, possessing a longer grip as well for an awkward looking two-handed grip needed to hold it properly. A black hilt-wrap is meticulously kept neat and the long katana has a circular guard with a four-pointed star set atop it with the sharp points sticking out past the rim of the circle.

    Shikai:
    "Twist the night sky,
    Showers of crimson,
    teach them fear, Kankatsu Ansatsusha!
    "

    When Kankatsu Ansatsusha goes into shikai mode, the zanpakuto changes entirely. The plain hand-grip is replaced by an elaborate jade dragon head with it's head wrapped in red silk and missing a guard entirely. However, it's the blade that's the most worrying since it disappears entirely from sight upon the first release.

    Instead it's replaced by a physical expression of Nishi's killer intent, a nigh-invisible ribbon that can cut as well as the sharpest steel that constantly lashes about him like a frenzied eel to prevent enemies from getting too close and to protect him from attacks. Not unlike an un-seeable force field though it's far from fool-proof. Kankatsu Ansatsusha covers a perfect circle out to ten feet with Kitoku in the center, making most attempts to get close to him harrowing at best and lethal at worse. To those who have trouble sensing spiritual pressure or killer intent, the 'blade' of Kankatsu Ansatsusha is completely invisible but to those able to sense such things proficiently (Those of Vice-Captain strength and above) they are able to see the ribbon well enough to try and defend themselves from it. Kankatsu Ansatsusha's defensive range may only be ten feet, but Nishi has demonstrated the ability to drop the 'shield' that the ribbon usually forms to strike out at opponents up to 15 feet away from him, though he exposes himself to counter-attack when he does so. While startling fast, the ribbon moves at it's fastest when Nishi's moves the sword's hilt along with the motions,

    Bankai: Kankatsu Ansatsusha Kyoukouken! (Cunning Assassin's Murder Sword)

    Nishi's bankai doesn't immediately take effect upon it's release, but rather requires him to activate the effect before anything happens which has lured people into a false sense of security before. While in Bankai, Kankatsu Ansatsusha Kyoukouken maintains all the abilities of Nishi's shikai except that the blade of killer intent might as well be undetectable (though it's cutting potential remains the same, average). However, on command, Nishi himself disappears from sight and almost all forms of detection (mental is the exception) which makes his bankai incredibly useful to escape, hide from, or spy on an enemy and that is how he mostly uses it since if he physically attacks the illusion is broken. He has learned how to use kido while invisible and not break the spell though.

    Of particular note is that, once he achieved it, Nishi's bankai didn't prove that strenuous to maintain and he can use it for long periods of time before becoming exhausted.

    Kido: As a member of the Kido Corp. Nishi is obviously skilled at the use of kido spells and has a great fondness for bakudo spells. He likes to immobilize an enemy then slowly walk towards them with his shikai release so they are diced to ribbons before him. However, he is not lacking in the hado department either and rumor holds that he knows a single forbidden kido. Obviously he has never demonstrated it before.

    Appearance: Mesuinu wears the standard issue shinigami uniform, with no modifications whatsoever. She has smooth black hair that she keeps just short of neck length, because she knows all it would take is a sharp tug on long hair to snap the neck. Her eyes are the shade of blue one would expect on an albino.

    Personality: Mesuinu has a sharp tongue, but knows when to keep it in check. She's calm, calculating, obedient, and respectful of authority. However, if she can appeal to a higher authority, she has no problem with metaphorically tearing her superiors a new one. She believes that actually engaging in combat is what uncivilized people like the 11th Squad is for, and that respectable people are meant to provide a guiding hand.

    Zanpaktou: In a sealed state, Jukiri looks like a standard katana with a silvered guard and black wrappings around the grip.

    Shikai: "Ward them off, Jukiri." Jukiri's katana blade withdraws into the grip to be replaced by a sickle of ice, and a silver cord shoots out the pommel that ends with a blunt weight resembling a black scroll case with silvered ends, decorated with a line along opposite side of five turquiose half-spheres lined with silver. It's difficult to see the decoration, however, as the weight constantly emits a steady spray of icy mist.

    Other Abilities: Mesuinu can use shunpo five times a day before becoming fatigued, and her kido is overspecialized to favor a select few techniques: Sho, Sai, and Seki.

    Hara Tai (Japanese tradition, last name then first), Captain of the 7th Division

    Reiatsu Color: Deep Blue

    Appearance: Almost everything about the captain of the 7th division stands out like a vivid dash of color against dreary brown, and it's difficult to tell if that was intentional or not. Thick red hair is pulled up into a short spiky pony tail with the tip looking like someone hacked it off with a butcher's knife. Only her bangs are kept out from the black strap tying off her hair, dangling down her forehead and in front of her eyes. Tai's left eye is covered up by a surprisingly thick titanium eye-patch (stolen while in the Mortal World) with the symbol for the 7th Division etched into the front of it, a sharp contract to the watery gray orb that sits in the other socket. A long jagged scar runs from her forehead, across the missing eye, and down along the curve of her jawbone as a sharp remainder of what she has lost. Aside from the disfigurements, Tai could almost be called 'pretty' though it takes a true fool to say so to her face.

    She wears a set of...modified shinigami robes and captain's haori, cutting off the sleeves of both so the hardened muscles can be seen on her arms and the traces of numerous minor wounds across her forearms and hands. The neckline is dangerously loose considering her generous figure, but with a thick swathe of bandages across her chest, there's no real chance of being exposed either. The baggy pants of the robes have been trimmed down and stuffed into the openings of awe-inspiringly large metal boots that announce each step she makes with a loud crash. Mostly for when she's 'dressing formal', Tai also wears them into combat if the dark brown stain on the toes is to believed..and she DOES claim it's rust. The stories of several 7th Division members about being kicked in the head when they had been monumentally foolish dispels that claim though.

    Personality: "I'd rather face the head captain, Daisuke, in a no-holds barred deathmatch then get on Hara-taichou's bad side. That woman terrifies me." -Random shinigami

    A, usually, calm and friendly woman, Tai is well known for her notorious temper at the failings of others and has an over-bearing presence that has actually cowed a rampaging Hollow in mid-consumption of a shinigami. Despite being prone to give offenders a sharp blow up the side of the head, Tai is far from a sociopath or berserker but rather feels the best way to lead others is by example and the occasional beating to drive a point home. Many blame this on her being a former 11th Division member. Add in her prodigious drinking skills and sharp desire to use them, and Tai was just as stunned as anyone when she was appointed as a captain. As the founder of the Shinigami's Women Association, which isn't too popular yet since Tai spends all the budget on drinking money, she is used to ordering people about but she never expected such a promotion. (She's the sort of person who yells alot and people usually just give a meek 'yes ma'am' when her legendary fury is directed at them. One of those types.) So far she's avoided conflict for needless purposes and is of the opinion that the Seireitei is in need of some changes to survive, so she tries to avoid picking TOO many fights now so the 7th doesn't look bad.

    In battle, Tai is unpredictable, clever, and isn't afraid to fight dirty if that's what it takes to win. While she'll take pains to preserve the honor of her subordinates, she doesn't feel that she has any herself and fights in the very same way. When she had only just entered the academy, she was heralded as a genius for her rapid development, but once she joined the Gotei 13 such a rapid growth seemed to stop almost completely. Now jokingly (never to her face) called an 'ex-genius', she proves her smarts in battle instead.

    Zanpaktou: Todorokasu Arashi (Thundering Tempest) is an average shaped zanpakuto in it's sealed form with a deep blue hilt wrap with a white tassle on the end of the pommel. The guard is sea foam green and is shaped like an 'S' with a thickened middle.

    Shikai:
    "Swallow the world in frothy waves, Todorokasu Arashi!"

    To release it into it's shikai, Tai must balance Todorokasu Arashi along one fore-arm and call out the incantation above before the zanpakuto will change, even if she does possess bankai. Once said though, the zanpakuto disappears to be replaced by dual elbow length gauntlets made out of hardened leather that might as well be the hardest steel and curls over her hands. Atop each knuckle is a large serrated tooth (much like a shark's tooth) that points straight out when her hand curls into a fist to cut and tear at whoever she strikes at.

    When in shikai, Todorokasu Arashi can form a sphere of reishi rich holy sake in front of or around Tai that can act as a shield against kido-based attacks. When a kido-based attack meets this sake sphere, it curves around it like water around a stone in the middle of a creek so while Tai may be unaffected, the surrounding terrain is likely to still be very much devastated. From this sphere, she can launch high-pressure blasts of sake that can batter and cut it's target and as long as any given sphere has liquid left, she can fire off multiple of this liquid lances to harry and destroy her foes.

    Bankai: Tai's bankai changes little in form other then the fact that he gauntlets will cover all the way up her arms instead of just her forearms. However the true power of it lays in the multiple new attacks that she can perform. While she can do more attacks, the shield of the watery sphere remains the same though gains in strength. While in bankai, sacred sake constantly swirls and flows around her in a chaotic mess, following each blow of her hands to drench whomever she is fighting

    First Storm: Tidal Pool: The 'first storm' is actually a much more focused and powerful version of her shikai's attack. A tendril of holy sake lances out at her opponent with enough strength that it cuts through stone as if it was a hot knife and butter while being able to scour the flesh right off an oponent's bones if not out right severe bits and pieces of them.

    Second Storm: Whirlpool: The 'Whirlpool' technique allows for Tai to take control of all the sacred sake in the area and gather it up into one massive swirling vortex of liquid that bashes about whatever is caught in it's might clutches. Usually she performs this technique on-top of her foe but if an opponent is suitably drenched then they can be pulled into the whirlpool as it is formed.

    Third Storm: Tsunami: The greatest and most destructive of her bankai's abilities, Tai has used this technique only once and has refrained from having to resort to it ever since. The sheer amount of collateral damage alone is reason enough. By means of this ability, Tai creates and forms an immense wave of sake that towers high enough to match the prisoner tower of sekiseki rock where powerful prisoners are kept. This destructive wave follows the motions of Tai's hands and can relentlessly hound an opponent if they somehow manage to escape that first devastating rush of pounding liquid that can batter rock in seconds and dash the average shinigami to death even faster. Using Tsunami means that Tai has no other options left to her and needs to lay all her cards on the table.

    Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Considering the nature of her shikai and bankai, Tai is noticeably concerned with being a better then adept hand-to-hand fighter and has honed her skills almost to the point of perfection. With varying styles (though her favorite by far is Drunken Boxing), Tai is a lethal bare-handed fighter.

    Strength: Tia is strong, impressively so considering that her zanpakuto doesn't give her any boosts to her physical abilities. Perhaps the physically strongest of the captain's (not counting those with vizard masks that make such abilities almost obscene) but she has punched her way through several feet thick walls before with little effort and she loves to throw an opponent into the nearest hard surface.

    Appearance:
    Seemingly of Western descent (though such things are largely irrelevant to a lab-born Bount) Turaka Baron is closer to skinny than fat, and of average height. He's either bald or has shaved with a blowtorch, and has a number of tattoos equal to the number of angels able to tango on the head of a pin. His eyes are brown, and tend toward the manic.

    His attire generally consists of khaki shorts and Hawaiian shirts of increasing tastelessness depending on how paranoid he's feeling. The glasses he wears are also tacky, but (by cosmic coincidence) inversely to the Hawaiian shirt of the moment. This ensemble is occasionally topped off with a dark jacket.

    Personality:
    Invasive, horrible, intoxicated, thin-skinned, violent, impatient and egomaniacal. Also has a strong sense of justice, is incredibly loyal, holds his beliefs regarding truth and fairness so close to his chest they might as well be pacemakers, is generous with his intoxicants and generally good for a laugh. He's not so much without morals as he doesn't appreciate yours, and will in fact go out of his way to flip them off.

    His speech wavers between incoherence and eloquence, with obscenities scattered throughout.

    Doll: "Furaku"
    Furaku (or "Frackle") takes the form of a small stained-glass tchotchke which Baron keeps pinned to his shirt or jacket. He has none of the problems keeping him in line experienced by some other Bount - Furaku generally acts placidly whacked out of his skull, with only the occasional attack of paranoia to worry about.

    When released, Furaku becomes a vast collection of 2-dimensional shapes of varying translucence and colour, formed from apparently nothing. They hover in the air around Baron, forming geometric patterns or surreal pictures, like a magical kaleidoscope.

    Furaku has the ability to induce hallucinations, ranging from pleasant feelings of relaxation and a sense that one is surrounded by beautiful women, to the target's worst nightmare, to a random mirage or simple warped landscape. Baron has little control over the actual content of the visions, pulled as they are from the target's mind, but can direct the general theme.

    Appearance: Noriko is tall, standing a full 7'0" tall. She weighs in at 255 lbs, all of it muscle. While she has something of an "Amazon" figure, she's not, ah, "lacking", in any way. She wears her steel grey hair in a simple braid, down to her lower back. Her Hollow Hole runs through her upper right shoulder. Her Mask Fragment is a simple band across her forehead, helping hold her hair back. She tends to wear full body clothing (this outfit, but with pants instead of the skirt, and shoulders that aren't poofy), covering her from neck to wrist to ankle, which is loose enough to de-emphasize her figure. Her sword is belted across her back.

    Personality: Noriko is rough, gruff, and generally aggressive. How she hasn't gone from Numeros to a Fraccion of Carcharadon is frankly unknown. That said, she tends to display a somewhat protective attitude to her fellow female Arrancar. While Abishai was alive, he was her number 1 target of hatred, due to, among other things, his treatment of Yeppun.
    Her opinion of the conflict with the Shinigami is mixed. On the one hand, she doesn't hate them as a group; she figures the whole cycle of pluses, shinigami, and hollows is just how it is. On the other hand, she loves fighting, battles, and war. And this conflict has that in spades. Though she likes fighting in general, she's actually rather intelligent, and has a passion for tactics and strategy as well. Some may find her occasional quotes from Sun Tzu and Musashi surprising, all things considered.

    Zanpaktou: Brigantia; a 6-foot long Yari spear.

    Resurrección: Break Their Army, Brigantia!. Noriko's mask expands into a simple helmet covering most of her head, leaving her eyes and face exposed. A breastplate of bone covers her torso, and the head of her spear becomes red. Otherwise, she does not seem to change physically. Her physical resistance to injury increases somewhat, and her blade cuts a bit sharper. Otherwise, she does not seem to increase in power.
    Until she begins cloning herself. Noriko's Resurrección allows her to clone herself up to 5 times total, leaving 6 of her running around total. Each clone is perfect, having exactly the same level of ability as Noriko. They are each, for all intents and purposes, Noriko. As well, they are linked mentally; each of them can access the thoughts and sensory input of the others at any time. This allows incredible amounts of coordination between the Norikos. If any one of them remains after the fight is over, Noriko will be fine. An enemy would have to kill all 6 Norikos to truly slay her.

    General Abilities: While not an Espada level Arrancar, Noriko isn't far off. Her Hierro, Sonido, spearmanship, Cero, Bala, and unarmed combat are all excellent, and well balanced (they'd all be about a 6.5 to 7 on a scale of 10).

    Aura: Recently, Noriko has developed an Aura that increased the violent tendencies of those around her, often inciting them to more violent solutions, provoking fights, and generally increasing the desire of everyone around her to do harm. She can consciously reign this in such that no others are affected, but it does take some amount of will. In Resurrección, this aura increases in strength and size. Whereas before it only extended to a maximum of 20 feet. In Resurrección, it extends approximately 100 feet.

    Cloning: Noriko has recently gained the ability to generate non-combat clones when out of Resurrección. Each clone is only about 3 times more powerful than a strong regular Mortal. She can generate 5 of these clones, matching the number of clones she can generate in her Resurrección. The mental link still exists, though, making them excellent research assistants; as well, they work well for games of strategy, such as chess and Go.

    Gullveig: A Hollow Wyvern that Noriko found and tamed as a mount. While not an Arrancar, Gullveig is undeniably a powerful foe, with strong and sharp teeth and claws, swift flight, and a powerful Cero Breath. Truly an appropriate mount for the Lady of War.

    Appearance: Hiiragi is one of the short Arrancar, with short spiky white hair with long bangs, each tip dyed red. Hiirgai’s uniform seems to mock the Shinigami, being black instead of white like the typical uniform. Two other changes of note to his uniform are his overly large sleeves which just hover the ground when his arms are at his side, and heavy combat boots. Outside of his small revisions to his uniform, he wears a red sash over his eyes, the tied part extending down to the small of his back. He is more than capable of seeing, and claims that this is to allow him to train his combat reflexes. His hollow hole is in his tongue, though it does not seem to impede his speech in any way and his mask seems to be three small claws that run from his forehead down his cheek.

    Personality: As one of the youngest Numeros, Hiiragi is much like a child in his teenage years. Impulsive, brash and otherwise moody are good descriptors for Hiiragi. Underneath it all, he is rather polite and formal serving his superiors with enthusiasm and zeal. Due to his rather recent rebirth, he is inquisitive and curious about many things.

    Zanpakuto: Borde- Borde appears as a massive scythe made out of iron that appears to have been scorched with searing flame. The blade is etched with two howling wolves on either side made of gold.

    Resurrección: Tormenta de espadas- Upon entering his release, Hiiragi’s weapon shatters, an area above him splits, the particles being sucked inside. His mask shatters in this way as well, and joins the blade particles before the small tear closes. His hands suddenly twist and crack under his sleeve, a long straight blade appearing out of his right hand. The bursting and cracking spreads up his arms and chest, his muscles filling out until the swelling reaches his neck, a sudden mask growing in front of his face, a large rip forming to expose half his lower face. Three tails burst from his back, made of segmented white bladed bone, each one as long as his body. Each is tipped with a massive curved blade.

    El Rey del Hierro: Despite its name, El Rey del Hierro is an attack, not an augmentation of Hierro. This attack rends the fabric of reality, a massive of swords and other bladed weapons exploding into the air. These blades shape and form almost into a massive river of metal which flows and twists in the air towards a foe. Once it hits the ground, the blades scatter through-out the battlefield, and can be used by Hiiragi as weapons or for various other purposes. Of the varied uses, Hiiragi can bounce off the blades, using them to quicken his movements, though it is hard for him to change his course while enhanced this way.

    Growl: This power allows Hiiragi to emit a powerful high pitched wail that shatters the ground, and can disrupt ceros and similarly leveled energy attacks as well as pushing those with weaker spiritual pressure away from himself.

    Tails: An innate ability, Hiiragi posses three long tails made of segmented bone, each tipped with a large curved blade. These blades are poisoned, those struck growing numb. The poison is rather weak, and requires multiple hits to make the poison more than an annoyance. These tails can manipulate blades and other objects almost as well as hands, but cannot perform higher functions then pulling levers, lifting things off the ground or gripping simple objects. Apart from the listed powers, Hiiragi can extend one or all tails to double their length.

    General Powers: Hiiragi posses heightened combat reflexes, capable of dodging sneak attacks and attacks far above his own ability to deflect with his weapon. While he claims this is because of his sightless training, it seems to be an inborn ability. He retains all other Arrancar abilities, but seems to need to physically rip open Garganta, unlike most who can simply summon them.

    Appearance: Amaya is a skeletal waif, in some ways rather literally. Her flesh is in various states of decay. Her eyeballs are in surprisingly good condition, but much of the rest of her face has begun to rot (picture ZHOAS from Sluggy Freelance), and necrosis covers the rest of her body. At her elbows, knees and ankles, her flesh has rotted to the bone. Despite her decrepit appearance, she still is able to move around, eat, and in general act rather normally. She tends to wear loose gowns of various colors and sandles. Her mask fragment covers the left half of her cranium, extending over her left eye.

    When fully fleshed out, her gowns are a fair bit less loose, but remain reasonable. Her face is fairly cute, in a "girl-next-door" sort of way, and her figure is merely average. Her hair is black, her eyes brown, and she never bothers to wear makeup, as it would just eventually come off anyway. Her fingernails are always a little grimy with dried blood.

    Personality:
    Amaya, in general, is a good-natured space case. Several suspect, not without reason, that her brain is as rotten as the rest of her body. She tends to go long periods without interacting with the outside world, but is generally able to stay on task when given direct orders by Beth-sama. Much of the time when she isn't getting orders or spacing out, she goes hunting for Hollows, as her appetite is a fair degree larger than most arrancar.

    General Abilities:


    Sonido: Amaya is actually extremely fast, only exceeded in this technique by Pallillo. However, without beginning to heal using her Dread Claws, she can only use the technique three times without tearing herself apart. Further, due to her spacey nature, she tends to be unable to use it to dodge.

    Aim for the Head!: As a functional zombie, Amaya cannot be killed by anything other than the destruction of what remains of her brain.

    Poor Sense of Touch: On parts that haven't been regrown by Dread Claws, Amaya has only the vaguest sense of touch, and as such is functionally immune to pain. This has both advantages and disadvantages.

    Cero: Her cero is unusually powerful for a Fraccion, actually on the low-end of Espada-level ability. It appears as a greenish-white blast fired from her mouth.

    Pesquisa: When she thinks to use it, Amaya actually has extremely sensitive Pesquisa, able to find a spiritually aware human ten miles away.

    Hierro: Amaya has rather weak hierro, and is affected by blows much like a shinigami would be. However, her functional immunity to pain means that things do tend to have less stopping power against her.

    Regeneration: Somehow, her body actually does endeavor to keep what little remains of it whole. Her regeneration is quite strong, able to heal foot-deep gashes within a couple of minutes.

    Zanpaktou: Enfermedad. Enfermedad appears as a meat cleaver, which she wields rather lackadaisically.

    Ressureccion: Consume, Enfermedad.
    To perform her release, Amaya opens her mouth wide, so much so that she rips a few of the muscles of her lower jaw. She then swallows Enfermedad. The only external change that occurs afterward is that her fingernails grow into sharp, hard claws.

    Ressureccion Abilities:
    Sickening Aura: Amaya's reiatsu is adequate to churn the stomachs of even the strongest of foes. Those within one hundred feet of her have to actively concentrate on not throwing up. Unseated through about tenth seat are automatically incapacitated by this ability.

    Dread Claws:
    Amaya's claws are extremely dangerous weapons. If she makes any contact with an opponent, the region that she touched begins to rot, depriving it of functionality. Simultaneously, her own body heals by an amount corresponding to the reiatsu thus degraded. This dramatically improves all of her physical abilities, which start out barely able to match a Vice Captain's, but, as she approaches full healing, reach into the low end of the Captain spectrum. After she seals Enfermedad, she slowly rots back to her default appearance over a day.

    Appearance: Kaori takes the appearance of a young girl with short, blonde hair. She always wears a long, orange dress with fuzzy white trimming and black boots. She also wears a high-collared, crimson cape that covers her neck and chin.

    Personality: Kaori's personality matches her appearance. She is youthful and spunky, though she tends to act like a spoiled brat at times, often becoming bored with long explanations or speeches and complaining if things don't go her way. Not surprisingly, she is playful and will mock those people she doesn't like... And occaisionally those people she does like as well. Despite her childish appearance and attitude, she is still very loyal to Kanji and to those she considers to be friends.

    Abilities: Kido Barriers - Kaori is trained in a specific kind of Kido. While she does not know any of the traditional Hado or Bakudo spells, she is proficient in creating simple yellow barriers of various shapes and sizes, similar to the powers of Hachigen Ushouda. However, her barriers can be broken relatively easily and will not stand up against mid or high-level Kido spells. As a result, she avoids combat situations whenever possible, instead opting to use barriers to shield places and objects.

    Spiritually Aware Human

    Honda-San appears as a middle aged man of Western-Descent with sharp features and slicked back brown hair, which, being in anime, is spiked out at the back. He is always wearing a pale blue-gray business suit, and is always carrying a clipboard. He also constantly wears a wireless headset. He is the CEO of a fairly large and successful Law Firm and Bail Bonds company. He can see spirits perfectly. He is also able to use low level bakudo rather effectively for a non-shinigami, specializing in Bakudo #9.

    Lately his company has been seeing increased growth at a rather rapid rate. Its head office building is located in Downtown J-City, and is always crawling with men and women in business suits.

    Species: Infernal (Devil, one from hell)
    Reiatsu: Dark Orange

    Description: Miradar likes duisguises, and the most often used by this creature is that of a handsome human male with short, well trimed black hair and an angular face, he does not have a goatee and wears a black suit with red lining and a long coat, which keeps an ever present tail unseen.

    Miradar's true appearance is that of an obese and grotesque humanoid, with large black wings on its back, that even then seen incapable of lifting his mass. The skin appears sore and purple, and the face has no eyes, only a metal plate bolted above the mouth. On the back is a ridge of long barbs going down the spine, and finally to a long, muscular tail covered in such thorns. Those who have sealed a deal with a devil (including Miradar itself), and those who hail from hell, will always see this shape outlined by the current disguise.

    Abilities: As a denizen from behind the gates of hell, Miradar has numerous powers which, given the absolute rarity for one of his kind to leave the gates, are unlikely to be known.

    Devil's Sanctuary
    By some strange power, Miradar is warded from violence until he begins it himself. Magic does not penetrate this barrier, and weapons stop on contact with his skin. Once the protection is rescinded against any one individual, it does not return until the next sunset.
    Even if the sanctuary is broken against any one person, it remains active against others.

    One Thousand Faces
    Miradar can assume any human shape at his whim, male or female. However, his sinuous, barbed tail is always present no matter the form.

    The Gates of Hell
    Miradar can summon the gates of hell at his whim. Only himself and the damned can cross the doors, which take a few seconds to fully appear and then open.

    Infernal Arcana
    These work much like kidõ, but Miradar utters no words when using these, only extending his palm, which then glows with a crimson sigil specific to the spell used.

    Hell's Contract
    Miradar can grant powers to individuals who are wiling to pay his price, their immortal souls, sent to hell for eternal damnation (or a very long time at least). His rules are few and simple, he will not make his own hands dirty, he will not give anything for free, and striking him ends the contract, causing the payment to be colected. Miradar deals with personal power and wealth, mainly, but is capable of granting a number of more exotic requests.

    Infernal Sense
    As a final, useful ability, Miradar becomes aware when an individual within about two miles becomes afflicted by negative feelings, and learns this person's location automatically. Infernals know that the easiest souls to acquire are those stricken by pain and sorrow.

    Zanpakutou: Plutão (Pluto)
    Plutão is a short knife with the hilt wraped in red linen thread. Plutão doubles as a pen and is quite useless as an actual weapon, when used to write, the hilt drains blood from the person holding it to use as ink.

    Unveiling: "Enforce the Pact, Plutão."
    Miradar uses the knife to draw blood from his own hand, allowing a few drops to fall to the floor, the blood expands into an eldritch circle at his feet, and then he bursts into a shower of gore, his remains animating as thirteen twisted, cancerous monstrosities. These forms move quickly on spidery legs, have mishappen mouths, eyes and tendrils.

    Bile and Brimstone
    The creatures, be then the small ones or the large one, that comprise Miradar's unveiling have the ability to spit gouts of hellfire, and their blood is a potent corrosive bile.

    Footsteps of the Devil
    The paths of the small creatures, or the larger one, burn with infernal flames, these flames produce a poisonous smog that is heavier than the air.

    Colony Growth
    The creatures born from Miradar's remains pile up into a horrible, mishappen monstrosity. This creature is incredibly strong, but vastly less mobile than the creatures that compose it.

    Colony Burst
    The large monster splits up into the thirteen (or less) creatures that formed it.

    Sabine Azeneth, Tailor to Las Noches

    Arrancar, non-Numeros or Espada

    Reiatsu/Cero: White

    Appearance: Sabine's mask remnant takes the form of a choker about her neck with two flat spikes running up to her cheeks from the choker. Long black hair is done up in twin buns atop her head, keeping the sable locks out of her soft blue eyes. With extremely pale skin, one has to question if Sabine ever goes out in the sunlight but the porcelain tone suits her features well and gives her an almost noble air. Almost none would guess she was a closet pervert in disguise. Her normal attire usually consists of white wrap top that is obviously tight across her ample chest but offers very little view of her cleavage.

    A red belt keeps the top and bottom apart, the bottom being a brief mini-skirt that is just the right length to be daring but not too much so. ((Think of a white version of Kurotsuchi Nemu's outfit.))

    Personality: How does a plain old arrancar survive in a world of Espada and Numeros? They don't offend other people and try not to be overtly noticed by the people in charge unless it's to be commended. Sabine has perfected this into almost an art form and the only time she's even been seen as aggressive is when she admonishes other arrancar for damaging their clothes. Demure, polite, eager to please. Taking something out on Sabine is like kicking a box of puppies, sure it's easy but you won't feel good about yourself afterward and other people are going to think less of you for doing it.

    That said, she has an unusual fixation on fellow female arrancar and is well known for designing decidedly skimpy outfits for them to wear. At first it was assumed some male arrancar was forcing her to do such but it was proven otherwise. Turns out Sabine is just a hentai at heart.

    Zanpakuto: Gusano de seda;a sewing needle with a single spool of thread attached to it.

    Resurrección: Capturar la telaraña, Gusano de seda! Upon her release, Sabine's mask fragment transforms into a full on bodysuit that covers almost the entirety of her body. Like a second ivory skin that starts at mid-throat and extends down to the tip of her toes, a window is cut out of suit around her chest with a single band of white extending horizontally across her chest. In the rear, an extended tear-drop shape exposes the length of her spine and curves out in an almost-perfect circle at the small of her back. While released, Sabine can make specific parts of her body sticky with a mysterious substance that quickly reveals itself as silk as it dries. Mostly she exudes the silk from her finger tips for fine sticky threads on the few occasions she is forced into a fight to ensnare an opponent to the surrounding terrain or even into a cocoon if she's lucky. In either case, after she's done either she'll usually flee to find someone more combat capable. That said, these threads are EXTREMELY sticky and very durable considering...well read 'Sewing' below.

    General Abilities
    : While not an Espada level arrancar, or even Numeros level arrancar, Sabine is still exactly that. An arrancar. Her hierro, sonido, cero, bala, and unarmed combat are all sub-par. She's enough to overwhelm unseated shinigami but most if not all seated shinigami will find her easy prey. It just gets ridiculous when a vice-captain or captain gets involved.

    Sewing: Many would not consider this worth mentioning, but since this is Sabine's main purpose in Las Noches it does. She is a master sewer and an exquisite tailor who personally creates and designs the 'uniforms' of other arrancar and even the Espada. Made from her own silk, the outfits she makes are exceedingly durable and have to be in order to survive the battles that the numeros and Espada are frequently thrust into. Made quickly and perfectly, her talent is practically unrivaled. Of particular note is her own clothing which she paid particular attention too. Rather then just being durable, it might as well be armor for her with it's fine craftsmanship. As durable as a decently strong hierro, she has yet to actually duplicate this feat but is studying it intensely to find out how she did it.
