Corentin smiled and walked over to them. "Actually, we have met before. When you were kidnapped by meenlocks, remember? You thought I was going to lock your name up because you didn't know what the word 'inquire' meant."

Vlad turns back into a human. Hey look, he's wearing clothes. That's a neat trick. He goes over to Tia's clothes and brings them to the hottub, before looking away, waiting for her to dress.

She moves from the wheelchair to the comfy chair nearest Cynthia, to curl up for the night, and be there when she wakes up. "At least there's something useful I can still do," she mutters.

Butler smacks the player for forgetting that.

"Of course I remember you sir! You... you aren't here for my name are you sir?"

Reinholdt heads off elsewhere. Probably to deadtime.

Corentin shook his head. "Your name is safe, Butler."

Tia surfaces, as neked as Vlad predicted. She breaths in slowly and looks at him. Oh, I forgot you people had a thing about wearing clothes while bathing... She takes the lower garment and pulls it on under the water, but leaves the shirt alone for now. Do you want to join me? The water is perfect.

"Oh that's good to hear sir." He glances over at the randomly appearing/disappearing Vidalia. "So you love her life sir? I'm not sure I understand that sir. Does she just mean you love her sir?"

DC, who had totally been watching the MagCave events unfold, is a bit too stunned to do much of anything beyond go down to his room and semi-deadtime.

"I think what she meant was that I was her true love. But yes, I love her." Corentin looked around at the roses, nodding in approval of the work done so far.

[Reinholdt]

"Her true love sir?" He tilts his head. "Isn't all love true sir?" More explanation is required.

Vlad shrugs.
"Sure." He takes off his shirt and slides into the water.

Vidalia continues to work as Butler and Corentin talk.

Then she remembers the key. Oh, Butler. Did you lose a key around here perchance?

((And Vidalia's player is currently at work, hence the seeming disappearing and reappearing.))

"Well, ideally, but not always. But that's not what the phrase "true love" means."

"You see, most people think that somewhere, out in the world, there is a person they are destined to meet and fall in love with. A one true love, someone who is suited to them just as they are suited for that person."

Dani emerges from the shooting range, and heads for the kitchen.

Quinn is now relaxing, exhausted from rose-bush planting.


Shrike is cooling her heels in the clink.

Butler shakes his head. "No Vidalia ma'am. I have not Vidalia ma'am."

He looks back at Corentin. "Oh I see sir! So me and Vidalia and Decker are all true loves too, right sir?"

He scratches his head though. "I don't think there were any suits involved however sir. I would have noticed if they got dressed up like that sir."

Vidalia blushes, but what can she posibly say to that. She just ducks her head. And digs into her work, literally.

Misaki sits next to Quinn, a little tuckered out from all the gardening as well.

Corentin shook his head, unable to hold back a grin. "... not quite, Butler. A true love is... well, you're only supposed to have one by the conventional definition."

((Conventional?? And definition?!?! He's not a super genius! ))
Susan's moved out to the rose garden to assist with replanting.

[Reinholdt]

"Only... one sir? But why sir? And who is Conventional Definition sir?" Butler may be starting to grasp it. Maybe. Butler speak is sometimes required with Butler. And it can be long and round-about.

Quinn grins at Misaki. So, did you enjoy the landscaping, sweetie?


Dani starts fixing one of her patented Super-Dagwoods.

"Typically because you marry that person, and you can only be married to one person." Corentin glanced at Vidalia, wondering how she would react. "But also because a true love is special. You just feel something towards that person that you don't feel towards anyone else."

Misaki nodded, stifling a yawn. "The flowers are so pretty..."

Butler pauses.
And processes.
And processes.
And processes....

But... she said to Butler when she called him special... she didn't believe in marriage...

Butler smiles warmly at Corentin and Vidalia. "I'm very happy for you two, sir, Vidalia ma'am."

"If you'll excuse me sir, Vidalia ma'am." Butler heads off unusually abruptly to his room, his eyes possibly betraying something he hadn't felt since... since that time with Comet and the psychics.

*Dig dig dig* Ignore conversation. *Dig dig dig*

Bye Butler. She looks up and watches him go.

Corentin watched Butler go, confused.

Quinn chuckles and puts an arm around Misaki's shoudlers. Hard work feels good, doesn't it? Knowing you got something done and made a difference...

"Yeah.." The little girl leaned slightly against Quinn. She was having a hard time keeping her eyes open. "Just like mama..."

Butler goes inside his room.
Shame Happy's gone cause he really could use Decker right about now.

As it is, the rest of the work doesn't quite get done tonight as he stays in there.

He, Decker, and I have a special bond. I... I think I just broke him. She looks down, then stands up and goes to follow. Maybe I should talk to him.

Susan takes Vidalia's place gardening as she goes.
"Hello all."

Corentin nodded to Vidalia. "Alright." He frowned. "I'm sorry. I didn't know talking to him about that would..."
