Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
When Cartomancy says "Only your Charisma modifier, synergy bonuses, and ranks in the skill apply when using this skill." it is not exactly clear. This prevents Skill Focus (Cartomancy), an unnamed bonus, from doing anything (I doubt that was intended). It also is unclear if charisma modifiers altered though magic effect it.

I love the machinist, I hope that our psionic engineer will equal it in awesome, so our engineer will have quite the dilemma when the time comes to choose.

Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
Well, your maps do look good, but if I'd known that you needed a map, I would've gladly offered my services.

Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
Well, the Abyss has nigh-infinite layers, so I don't see why you can have 60. I think that it's an awesome idea. It's rather meta, & I like the idea of some overgod rolling the planes just to see which ones end up on top.
Please continue with this idea, & take it to it's logical conclusion.

Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
Dice cosmology is definitely an awesome idea. You should stick with it.
Don't be afraid to do a think-tank kinda thing if you are having trouble thinking of uses with specific "layers".Half-elves are like slinkies.
They're not really good for anything,
but you can't help laughing when they fall down the stairs.

Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
In a think tank, we'd all brain-storm some ideas for you, individually offering as much inspiration as we could. I'll certainly let some ideas slide around my head as I'm going about my day.
A question though: You have 8 planes to make (Avramir, Crolodi, Darshran, Gyzatt, Laranya, Mul'Darch, Nhosurum and Queniss) but only 6 dice to base them on (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20). What are you going to do about the other two? How many layers will they have? Which two will this be?

Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
That part, I have figured out pretty well. Dice sets have a 100 percentile dice as well as normally having at least one other 6-sider. The 100 percentile is gonna be Mul'Darch, with the reasoning that Chaos is continually forming and re-forming.
And feel free to drop in with any ideas you've got.

Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
I've only just found this thread and I have to say: Wow!
After a quick read-through I am really impressed. You've laid the foundation to a real nice campaing setting here, a basis any DM would be glad to build on.
I'm going to follow the thread as it progresses and will be using a lot of your creations in my opcoming games!
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Re: The Lords of Avramir Campaign Setting
This looks like quite a fun campaign setting. The harder part will be getting a game of it...
