Sam blinks, then raises an eyebrow. No, but I have a Vergil, a Virtual Global Interface Link. It's a Satphone, really. The number's in my personnel file. How does a nanotech comm work?

Not sure. I might even have the name wrong. But it was injected into me a long time ago when I first came here. It's kinda like telepathy, between those with the stuff.

Back to Vasalisa. Well, like I asked yesterday before Lex attacked, I was wondering if it worked on those not afflicted, but with low intelligence.

MagSquid arises from his deadtime, letting go of its corpse package and cursing itself for being deadtimed earlier.

And just as the thing turns for the door, it collapses onto the ground, its batteries dead.

DC nods slowly. That he must. As long as he's alive... What happened with Reinholdt may happen again.

Butler checks the card to see. Then nods.

Then says so. "Yes Vidalia ma'am. It's being held correctly Vidalia ma'am." Of course this is coming from Butler. But he does know which way is up.

"It is unlikely. But due to the hurry in which it was brewed, Grandmother was not able to test it thoroughly. Its effect on unafflicted humans is unknown."

Ignoring Butler and Vidalia, Sunny begins looking through the notebook, and arranging her tools and parts. Finally she gets frustrated, as there is really not enough room in the infirmary for this, and begins packing everything up again.

"Caretaker? Where Sunny can go? Sunny want make! Sunny want..." She gestures wide with both hands, trying to indicate that she needs more space. "Sunny want more big room."

Reply: Caretaker give Sunny room.
Request: Follow Caretaker.

Sunny gathers up her stuff to do so.

DC heads over to the MagSquid, and after their respective players check with each other, he unscrews a panel on the front and tries to install the new Standard Issue Robot-Battery.

He also silently curses deadtime, but that's normal.

vidalia holds out her hand. Herbert, Butler, we need to follow them.

Yes, Miss Vidalia. Herbert bumps into her hand and leads her in following Caretaker and Sunny.

There's a high-pitched chirp followed by a hum, as the MagSquid rises up to its standard floating position.

-Tern. Intern. We shall go to aid here now, and will ensure that there is a presentable MagCave when the Lord returns. Which he will. The One who is Many does not end.

Aww, how adorable. It's clinging to some crazy "Mag's going to fight his way out of hell with a shiny orb and a pointy holy stick" hope. You could probably get it to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, too.

"Yes Vidalia ma'am." Not sure why, but she said to do it. He starts following Sunny too.

Caretaker takes Sunny to one of the members room that is well lit and spartan, with several work benches and a single bed. Sunny immediately claims one of the work benches and starts spreading out her tools and parts.

Because she's not at full mental capacity, he sets the room security so that other members can access the room, if they pass the 'no evil intention' alignment check.

Vidalia enters the room after Sunny. No evil intent from her.

Whether Butler can tell that or not is debatable.

"... If you wish." Vasi will let Judy have as much of the syrupy thick medicinal smelling potion as she wants.

Corentin Apollinaire, Gentleman Adventurer, undeadtimes at his post in the infirmary.

Everyone he was guarding has gotten better and left.

With a sigh, Corentin goes to the kitchen to make himself some tea.

Sunny continues working on her robot throughout the night and deadtime. Vidalia and Butler can stay as long as they like, but they will get very little notice from Sunny.

"You're welcome Vidalia ma'am. And she's still doing it Vidalia ma'am. I think she likes it Vidalia ma'am." Normally Butler would sound overjoyed at the praise Vidalia just gave him. Now he sounds flat.
