Just as she gets it, his mental presence just vanishes.

Quinn's eyes flicker open.
I couldn't be sure. He might be in the Glades...I couldn't be sue if it was Freedom Glades or the Everglades, though. She sighs.


Dani's response to the tap on her shoulder is to turn and wrap her arms around Judy, bawling into her friend's shoulder.

Angela sighs in annoyance and shrugs.

[Lex-Kat]

Judy hugs Dani, trying to comfort the bawling little girl.

[The Bushranger]

Sammie...she left...I think she's not thinking straight and I'm scared, Judy! Dani finally manages to get out between her sobs as she clings tightly to Judy.


Quinn looks up at Angela. So, should we go after her?

Angela winces as any last painkillers wear off and the wound on her back flares up. If you want to go, you'd have to go alone...

Shhh. It's alright. Why do you think she's not thinking straight? Judy continues to hold Dani close, caressing her hair as she rocks slightly.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn rubs her hands through her hair.
I don't know what to do. If he's in trouble I need to save him, if he isn't, he'll yell at me for endangering myself on his behalf...



Dani finally manages to stop sobbing, although whether this is due to Judy's calming or her own simply being unable to is open to question. She said something about how she didn't want to be pregnant and she should have done something the moment she found out and she was going to make things right and...
The sobs just came back.

I can't help you with that choice, Quinn... Angela sits on the floor and sighs.

I'm so sorry, Dani. I wish there was something I could do. All we can do is wait and hope that she comes to her senses. That she realizes that she is hurting you and herself. Judy continues to try to comfort her.

Dani nods, and snuggles against Judy, seeking comfort.


Quinn shakes her head. I probably shouldn't. He can take care of himself. She sounds like she's trying to convince herself, though.

Angela gives the paladin a ghost of a smile. Of course he can. He's the Goddamned Tobias.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn giggles and nods a little. He's really just a big softie under the jackassery though.

Angela raises an eyebrow. When he found out I was having sex with my boyfriend, he cursed us so we couldn't touch each other without being shocked.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn winces in sympathy.
Ow. Maybe he hardens later...
She pauses, then shakes her head, refusing to think about possible reasons why that might be.

Angela shrugs and yawns, stretching out.

[The Bushranger]

You should get some rest, Quinn says, slipping into doctor mode. You were torn up pretty awful...

Angela looks up at Quinn and bats her eyelids, turning up the charm to see how she reacts. Why don't I go to my room, I hate sleeping in these cots, and then you can check out my back to make sure it's healing fine?

[The Bushranger]

Quinn hesitates for a moment, then nods.
That'd probably be a good idea, yeah.
She smiles at Angela and stands.

Angela walks to her room, takes off her hospital gown, and lies on her bed to let Quinn look at her back.

Quinn blushes a little, but does, indeed, lean over the bed to perform the inspection. Well, it looks like it's healing pretty well...you'll be sore for at least a couple of days, though.

[FireFox]

Yeah, doc? Angela starts to turn over, touching her holy symbol and shooting an invisible, concentrated Lust beam at the paladin.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn unknowingly rolls a Will save. And fails.
You'll...erm...be back to your usual sexy self in no time at all...
She hesitates, her eyes locked on Angela as the other girl rolls over...

[FireFox]

You don't say... Angela smirks and a small pair of silver scissors appears in her hands. She points it at Quinn, and the woman may find herself suddenly undressed.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn would normally protest.
But right now, she doesn't mind a bit.
And as her clothes are magically removed, she pounces Angela, fiercely and hungrily, lips aiming for hers, one hand aiming to remove her pants and the other reaching for the curtain!

Angela is quickly undressed, and rolls on top of Quinn, both to save her back and teach the paladin a thing or two as the curtain falls.

Susan undeadtimes in the greatroom.

There's a knock at the door. And a glow coming from under the bottom of the door. Ominous.

Sad Correction: There is no cake.

[Sunny's Room]

Sunny has fallen asleep at her workbench. Sitting in front of her is a robot. It has only one claw-handed arm, though with a socket for a second. There are no legs. It's head is hemispheric and has three eyes, arranged in a triangle.

It doesn't appear to be powered up. Also, it is purple.

[Elsewhere in the base]

Chelonie is in Infirmary Room 2, wired up to the gills after getting beaten up by Astir the night before. But in the security room, a ghostly shadow of Chelonie sits at the controls, adding more power to the dimension lock that protects GLoG by temporarily halting armoury repairs.

That being done, it goes to the morgue where the body of Magtok lies, frozen. The Shadow, head bowed in grief, sits next to the corpse in a death vigil.

There's James! He's on fire, with two rather large fireballs in his hands. The drone should be powering up to start to shoot him, as he's on GLoG's shoot to kill list. He starts to grunt.

And so the drone shoots a laser out of its single eye, before trying to slam the door in James's face.

[Sunny's Room]

Sunny looks at her robot critically, comparing it to the plans in her notebook. There are still some parts missing. Most importantly, a power supply. She'll have to find one somewhere.
