I recently discovered the wonder that is Radiohead. Specifically, OK Computer.
Listening to that album made me wonder how many other people on this forum listen to alternative. By alternative I mean grunge, indie, post rock and, well, alternative. All that jazz.
Do we numerically match the large metal contingent here?
But, you might say, why are you including folk? Well, most modern day indie music have very heavy roots in 60s pop and the folk music from that era.
These limits I have set are, at heart, arbitrary. I welcome dissent.
Anywho, who out there is a fan of Bob Dylan, Radiohead, REM, And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead, The Postal Service, The Pixies, The Smiths, Joy Division, Vampire Weekend, Gregory and the Hawk, A.C. Newman, The New Pornographers, Death Cab for Cutie, Neutral Milk Hotel, Cloud Cult, Coconut Records, Animal Collective, Pearl Jam, and Hello Saferide? The list goes on and on.
So who shares my love of obscure indie bands, alt music, and folk?
