Alex does stir just a little, now...

Alexis is asleep with her head on the bed beside him. He might notice the tear stains on her cheeks when he wakes up though.

Marley looks over that the results of Butler's checkup.

"Oh dear. Um, Butler, I have good news and bad news."

[Ashen Lilies]

"Butler is slowly being repaired. To better than new. And he's most certainly undead. One with very unusual, unique properties."
Yes, Jazirian is just repeating everything the drones are saying.

The gust of wind is blown away!
The room is pretty spartan, but makes up for it by being more of an apartment than a room. Irene arrives in a small sitting area. There is a low table in the center, with four cushions, meant for sitting on the floor, arranged around it. There are doors to the right, left and center.

"That I killed his best friend? I've killed... many people, most in war, but no minotaurs, and in my experience, they don't get along well with other races. I don't know who he could be talking about."

"Ummm... yes sirs, ma'am."
All these people talking are confusing Butler a bit. Undead? Energy? What?

Irene checks for traps on the three doors.

A lie. But not a malicious one, really.

Alex's eyes only open a little, but he does notice...
And, very gently, and wincing a rather bit, he reaches to try to hug her. Or at least her head.

She wakes up slightly and quickly hugs him back. I'm so sorry I couldn't stop her. And the drones say it won't heal magically. But I promise I'll help get you better.

"Jazirian! You could have told him that in a more polite way, or a way he will understand. Okay, Butler, listen to me. You died in surgery, and for some reason, you came partially back to life."

Alex winces a little, but hugs her as tightly as he can. s'not your fault. An' I'll be OK. But, thanks...

Why did she do that to you? She pulls back a little to look to his face.

Nothing. The Pestilence on the front door was meant to kill incapacitate any intruders.

Butler looks at Marley. And thinks. "Oh... umm... ok sir. I guess that would explain things a bit sir." You can tell he's still processing that information. Huh.

Irene starts checking the doors. Starting on the left and working clockwise if the left room proves to be uninteresting, like the bathroom or something and the harp doesn't look like it'd be there.

"Well, the drones are not always good at tract."

The meddrone floating around Marley speaks up.

Statement: It appears you are well enough to have most of your casts off.
Further Statement: But you are still not going to be walking for a few more days.

The meddrone starts taking the bandages and most of the casts off of Marley.

Vidalia continues to hide in the Rose Garden.

The left is the bedroom. The right is the bathroom. The center is more... interesting. It is a shrine, of sorts, though the altar shows signs of disuse. Off to the right and left are two pedestals, one holding the Lyre, and the other holding dice.

I don' know. Alex sighs, and looks back at Alexis. She's a goddess of Envy - that wasn't Angela. She'd been tryin' t' goad me to cut down Falgorn...not t' duel over honor but just t' kill him...

Shh, I won't let her hurt you again. She gently hugs him again.

It isn't very strong, whatever it is you're doing, though... She lets go of him and looks at her hand. Yeah, it's already fading... Must only work through direct physical contact... She looks at him again.

That would be wise. I hope that you do not get provoked to attack him. That would be unfortunate.

Alex closes his eyes again and hugs back. Thanks. Sorry 'bout all this...

"Oh, umm, alright ma'am. If you say so ma'am. I am feeling better though ma'am. Thanks ma'am."

Oh hey. Irene does her best to check for traps as she flies over to snatch the Lyre.

You have nothing to be sorry you. If anything, I'm the one who needs to be apologizing. She sits back down from her hugging and tries to take his hand.

If she uses magic-o-vision, she'll (perhaps) detect three things. One is the magical alarm nexus/web/net/mesh-thing surrounding the pedestal. The second is the highly visible (but not immediately obvious) magical cord connecting the lyre to the pedestal. The third is the much less obvious, and almost invisible unless you're looking for it magical cord connecting the lyre to the pedestal.

Alex gently takes Alexis' hand, and shakes his head slightly. Notin' to be sorry for... he whispers, starting to drift off to sleep.

"Hmmm... figures." She gives a quick glance over at the dice to see if the same thing applies.

Regardless, she works on starting to dispel the alarm nexus first and foremost. The cords can wait.

She softly kisses his hand as he falls asleep and lays her head back down, drifting off as well.
