Irene finds that she can easily part the threads of the nexus to allow passage through.

Tia, seeing as the odd fellow is well taken care of, heads back out of the infirmary and returns to the rose garden, hoping it is empty enough for her to be alone for a while.

Vidalia watches Tia.

Quinn, meanwhile, is now heading for the Infirmary...

Quinn will find DC of all people among the ones clustered around Butler in the infirmary.

This will probably strike her as a very bad thing, given what happened last night.

The meddrone finishes getting the casts off.

"Well, I need to go, I have something to take care of."

Marley wheels back to the Rose Garden.

Runner nods a little. I have had similar experiences.

Butler gets up. "I should really check on Vidalia ma'am." Huh. He seems able to walk again now. If a bit stiff.

And... only Jazirian and Comet heard that one. Maybe Quinn too. Oh well. Butler hasn't left quite yet.

Irene passes through. And examines the cords more closely to see if she can learn what they appear to be designed to do. Maybe if she learns that she can counteract them.

Quinn freezes in the door of the Infirmary.
She looks at DC.
Then looks at Butler.

...alright, when did I get shifted to a parrarel universe without noticing? she demands.

The obvious 'trick' one summons a few nasties. The less obvious 'real' one, is an alarm. They are both triggered when the cord is snapped, which happens when the cord is stretched sufficiently. By say, someone removing the lyre.

Jazirian jumps.
"This is a parallel universe!?"
He inspects himself.
"I don't feel any different..."

Tia kneels amongst the rose bushes and looks around. She reaches out and plucks a rose bud from one and twirls it slowly between her thumb and index finger. She sighs. I never did get to tell her how I felt...

Marley spots Tia as he starts to enter the rose garden. He stops.

Drat, this is going to make talking to Vidalia a bit tricker.

DC frowns.

Then turns around as Quinn enters.

[Reinholdt]

"Parallel universes ma'am? Is that some sort of new type of clothes or something ma'am?"

Irene pulls out... a pebble?
And puts it down on the pedestal. And starts working to magically transfer the cords from the lyre. Or untie them from the desired object and move them to the pedestal.

She is... unusually good at this. Though it's possible she may still fail and trip the traps anyways.

She succeeds. I think. It looks like she succeeded. There aren't any swooping afrits or blaring klaxons or anything.

Khiansa nods.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I believe that someone has broken into my room and is attempting to steal my possessions."

Irene snatches the Lyre and quickly moves over to do the same process to the dice, with the alarm mesh and another pebble and stuff.

It's where he, Quinn points at DC, is still unconsious in here, and you, she points at Butler, are dead! Here neither of those are true!

Tia does her best to ignore the other people in the garden with her. She slowly picks the unopened bud apart, disassembling the delicate petals and dropping them to the ground. She when she is done, she remains on the ground, looking at the ruined remains of what might have been a beautiful flower. A tear rolls down her cheek and she sweeps the petals aside with her hand.

DC scowls. I woke up. As for him, I have no idea.

"Well... Marley said I'm only partially alive if that helps you any ma'am."

Marley wheels back into the halls of GLoG, but stays near the entrance to the rose garden.

Irene succeeds! Eth.

Khiansa begins the journey to his room, confident that the intruder (Irene) has been rendered unconscious by the Pestilence that he detected wafting around the Great Room.

Irene snatches the dice, and starts floating out rapidly, not bothering to clean up seeing as how the door was melted in.

She appears to making a dash for her room.

Irene dashes for her room!

Khiansa rounds the corner and comes down the stairs....

Alright. Both of you, into beds! Now!
Quinn is using her Paladin-Nurse Command Voice on DC and Butler.

Butler
"Yes ma'am."
Stupid direct orders.

Into her room! And out of sight. As soon as the door is closed and locked, she immediately starts trying to magically ascertain how the harp can be used.
In other words, how to play it and get the desired results.

Tia stands and exits the rose garden, heading for the great room for now.

Er... does she begin playing them at random? Or what?

Khiansa notices the melted door. He notices the lack of a be-pestilenced intruder. He enters the shrine. And notices the lack of artifacts in it.
