Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
I think there exist more childish things but I agree, blaming someone don't make ones own mistakes right.
But let's hear what it was that annoyed Rand before drawing conclusions (Don't blame Brighty just because you think his comment was it, even if it is he should be allowed to sort it out himself)

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
I've seen weirder.
Besides kids often act by simpler rules and morals than the complicated lies and arguments of adults and thus choses the wisest and best when adults don't, I bet it's one of those situations.
Which means we are all immature adults but Crimson Scary thought.Treasured Quotes

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Arg! I wasn't blaming him for anything! I was just pointing out that he was the one who reinitiated the argument, he shouldn't be mad people argued back! I was never even involved in the argument!
Also, the "rand started the argument after all' thing was separate from my agreement with CA. Why did CA have to bug me about it? I understood what he was saying!Last edited by The Gremlin; 2009-08-01 at 03:40 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Let me tell you about a young fertilzer salesman named Harold P. Warren. He was convinced that he could make a hollywood quality film the people would remember without any training or special equipment. And he tried, and tried, and tried, and tried. He had a barely functioning wind-up camera which couldn't record sound, moths we're attracted to the camera mounted light and his cast couldn't act for a bucket of KFC.
But he persisted and finally finished his project. And it was so bad he was laughed out of opening night. But inadverdantly, he succeeded, he had created a movie everyone remembers, and while "Manos" The Hands of Fate, may not of been hollywood quality, he finished it, and it all worked out it the end.

The moral is "Don't watch Manos: The Hands of Fate".
It's considered to be the worst film ever made.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
I think the point Xav is trying to make is that even if someone has no talent and makes a product that is crap, they at least did it and should be congratulated for it... or something like that.
I think he's making a stealthy insult by comparing some people's work to Manos: The Hands of Fate.Visit the Chocolate Hammer IRC channel!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Silly man, the moral was that things don't always go to plan.
Also why did you call me Xav earlier?
EDIT: Most of you guys are of Sam Raimi quality (a compliment seeing as I think Evil Dead 2 is the best and most innovative movie ever)
Take a look at this however and tell me it isn't Manos-y.Last edited by X2; 2009-08-02 at 04:58 AM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Actually, that's not far from the truth. MM and I, along with a few other ABR veterans, started a private forum off-site to work out the introductory FI strips in secret so that when they were posted they would be good and organized. So, technically we have begun FI, although the whole introductions are not finished yet.
BLATANT LIE!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Not to be rude, but… That’s quite out of order.
This is supposed to be for all ABR members to participate in, and making comics “in secret” and developing the story line/intro away from most of the other members is seriously wrong. what if other members want to add something to the intro?
Because of this, along with all the other anoying preparation we've had- by the time we actually start FI, there probably won’t be much left to develop other then people’s own characters and follow what’s already been pre-prepared for them. It wouldn't suprise me if you MM alread has an ending planned outfor everyone.
Is it really that hard for you guys to just... let it roll? You know, like FFF started, back when the plot was actually interesting and fun.
Good thing too. ;PLast edited by Nameless; 2009-08-02 at 09:43 AM.
