GLoG XXXVI: Curse You, Dramatic Irony!

"No sir. Not the drones sir." Those hideous loathsome machines.

"Czernov says if I don't get it right I'll lose my job sir. It's an order sir." Not speculation.

The ferret keeps chittering defensively at the strange creature. Don't scratch yourself on the thorns, Misaki. I'll keep it away - go inside.

"Don't do what right?"

Marley raises an eyebrow.

[Kaelaroth]

Czernov can be seen, in fact! There he be. Sneaking downstairs? As if to make sure no one's going to see him. And whatever's at the top of the stairs. Ooh.

Misaki scampers out of the rosebush and runs away form the Rose Garden. Probably running into Quinn.

[Reinholdt]

Butler points at Czernov as if to tell Marley to ask him himself.
Marley may note Butler gripping a piece of paper tightly.

Thump!

Misaki runs right into Quinn!
Bowling her right over!
Ow!

"Czernov! What order did you give to Butler?"

Marley walks over to Czernov, holding his cane.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki is knocked over too, lying dazedly on top of Quinn for a few seconds before hugging her tight. "Quinn!"

[Kaelaroth]

He needs to stop evil people getting into GLoG, by just letting them in the front door. We have alignment scanners. There are people living here. It is not safe. Czernov says, slightly distracted, perhaps, as he walks to the kitchen.

"The drones have made the same mistakes, and I don't see you threatening to get rid of the drones.
Besides, the alignment scanners only work when someone goes through the door, how is he supposed to tell if the people are evil or not unless he lets them in?"

Marley follows Czernov.

The ferret keeps backing towards Misaki, keeping himself between her and the imp.

[Kaelaroth]

Incorrect. The alignment scanners can be used before someone moves through the door. The drones are going through rapid modification, hence the current shifts in personality matrices. Czernov says, heading into the kitchen.

"Well, how is Butler suppose to use the scanners if no one bothers to tell him how to use them? Answer me that, president."

[The Bushranger]

Quinn hugs Misaki back tightly. Are you OK sweetie? she whispers.

[Dirk Kris]

There is some sort of demonic creature in the Garden, Quinn. It leaped at Misaki. I've got it cornered. Hilarious - the teeny ferret cornering a demon.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki nods, burying her face in Quinn's shoulder. "I-I was in the Rose Garden with Meridian, and then there was this fire, and this scary little thing showed up. It's still there!"

[Kaelaroth]

"Well, how is Butler suppose to use the scanners if no one bothers to tell him how to use them? Answer me that, president."

Czernov turns. His expression is cold. Did I say that Butler is being terminated immediately, because of previous failures? No. I did not say that. I said that if Butler continues to fail, his contract will be. Teach him yourself, if you want. Forgive me, if I am at work, right now.

[ThePhantom]

"Fine then."

Marley walks back to the infirmary, but asks a drone to keep an eye on Czernov.

(Deadtime)

Quinn tries to sit up, squeezing Misaki tight. I think there's an imp that comes around, he's mostly harmless...

[Kaelaroth]

And Czernov tells the drone to go away, please. And he continues his work. Making several sandwiches, before slipping back into his office, upstairs.

Misaki moves to let Quinn sit up. Her clothes are a bit dirty form her scramble to get away, and despite Meridian's warning she has a small bleeding scratch from a thorn. She continues to cling to Quinn.

Quinn doesn't let go, and quickly goes to Lay On Hands the scratch. I'm so sorry you got scared, sweetie...

[Neon Knight]

"Lots of scary things happened. Alexis was kidnapped, and there was this scary man with big teeth, and... and.. I thought it might be like last time, when you wouldn't wake up... I missed you..." The child murmurs appreciatively as her scratch is healed.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn stiffens just a little at the mention of Alexis, then sighs. I'm so sorry I scared you sweetie. I love you and never want to upset you, you know that right?

What was his name, little one? I missed that part. Meridian peers around, not seeing the little imp and suspecting trickery!

[Neon Knight]

"I know. His name was Fan Boy Amakirr." Misaki will stay with Quinn, relaxing in the embrace of her protector and friend.

[Dirk Kris]

Meridian picks up his flower crown from where it fell while he was defending Misaki and tucks it into his little pouch. I'll go look around - stay with Quinn. He scurries off into the bushes.

Issi tries to sneak inside the building, avoiding the terrifying ferret and the scary little girl. However, he's not very good at sneaking.
