What measures does captain whatshisname take against mutineers ? Surely by the way he treats his crew they would have much to gain by chopping his head off and replacing him with a more resourceful and efficient captain.

So after a few hours, I finally have a template of every single TSS character I could find looking back.

You cannot begin to fathom how sick I am of longcoats.

I figured someone would make that joke

Still though, I had to copy a single longcoat about five times for more than half the characters.

The UNA eliminated war from Avbaroy, and the only opposition is from terrorist groups of which only one is threatening its entire integrity. The UNA may be suspicious on propaganda, but they're not kidding about peace.

Meh...we will see how long that holds when resistance gets serious about collecteral damage...

And I finished my concept art for my own resistance fighter. I will post it when I get back to my own computer

I am also wondering how Grim and some other more idealistic UNA forces would interract... Oughtright fistfight might be out of order, but verbal fencing match maybe not

Out of curiosity, who wants to be gambling with Alana at the beginning of my TSS comic?

Edit: (I have everything save said person and their dialogue laid out already)

Before anyone else has chance to volunteer, I will. I think that Beren, as newbie, would be one interested in such activity

And yes, now I came up with the name

If you accept, I will send PM to you later in the evening so we can discuss

Sounds fine! I've been porting all of Alana's dialogue through a pirate-speak thingy and it comes off more as Irish, which isn't altogether bad.

I'm not sure what we would work out via PM, considering all I really need to know is

When do the TSS character pictures start, pagewise? I thought I'd make templates for everyone, and make a comic soon.

For the express purpose of torturing Darklord Bright, another longcoat! Well, trenchcoat.

    Mr. X

Not much is known about Mr. X. Including his real name. When the captain was signing the crew, that was all "Mr. X" signed- an X. He got onto the crew entirely by his ability to stare down anyone who didn't want him on the crew. He doesn't talk. At all. He doesn't even open his mouth.

What little the crew has gleaned of Mr. X is that you do not want to mess with Mr. X. The last time a bar room brawl was involved, Mr. X ignored it, and continued staring enigmaticly at his mug until a rather foolish man hit him with a chair- The next thing people knew, the chair was lying on the ground, Mr. X had drawn his sword, and the man... wasn't. there. He has been known to display a variety of odd magical talents, although precisely how is anyone's geuss.

Probably an antagonist, since if a marquis is associating with pirates it's generally to get rid of them. Skilled user of the "Ripple" martial art (a.k.a. Hamon, a.k.a. Sendô), which is based around a breathing technique which creates 'ripples' within one's bloodstream. These 'ripples' can be channeled through the martial artist's strikes into various forms of physical waves, or maintained as ripples, healing and/or strengthening certain materials. Also grants the user increased endurance and longevity.

    Name: Malaria 87 (Nickname: Mal)
Race: Furon (an alien race from the Destroy All Humans videogames).
Age: 3 (His line of clones have existed for over 300 years, but it's only been three years since he was last cloned)
Powers: PK, weak mind-reading (that is, he can only read a one random thought at a time that usually doesn't mean anything), Transmogrification (to turn inanimate objects into ammo)
Weapons: Zap-O-Matic (A gun that zaps foes with fairly weak lightning. A very weak model), Ion Detonator (a grenade launcher that's grenades sticks to targets)
Weaknesses: Incredibly physically weak, cannot swim (he dies instantly if he touches water, which is a pretty big firggen weakness in a boat-themed plot)

Mal is an alien scout from Furon sent to scout Avbaroy. His saucer crashed into the sea of Avbaroy. He couldn't swim, so his death seemed very likely. Luckily, he was rescued by the pirates, who he joined. His saucer sunk, along with most of his alien technology, including his weapons and cloning machine. Because of this, he cannot return home, and he is now mortal. He cannot revive himself through cloning.

He serves as a warrior aboard the pirate ship, although he usually stays behind and supplies the cannonballs with his Ion Detonator. He can hold his own in a fight, but usually chooses not to go off into battle because he is mortal now, has no energy shield to defend himself, is pretty weak, and if he falls off the side of the boat he's toast.

He is pretty unwise, which isn't uncommon among his race. He is very quick to anger. He is, however, very intelligent, which he needs to be to use PK. He is very perverted, which again is not uncommon amoung his race since Crypto came back with human DNA in Destroy All Humans, Path Of The Furon. However, he is pretty calm in comparison to most members of his race, and is usually the last on to go off into battle (this would make him a "Non-Action Guy" in the plot, I guess). He is somewhat more sensitive then a lot of Furons, and shows a lot more depth then you might expect.

Dude. Sorry to hear that. I remember you said you had that ear problem a long time ago.

    Hope you get better.

(Nope, he's not a Mind Flayer.)

    Name: Kalum

Kalum is part of a race of octopus-people that, for a number of reasons, has slowly been driven nearly to extinction during the past few decades. He is one of the few that remain. He's also an extraordinarily good swordsman (one of the best, in fact). Aside from this, he has no powers or abilities, other than being able to spit ink (but he rarely uses this) and breathe underwater.

For the past few years, Kalum has been in prison for an unknown crime. He managed to escape, and joined the pirate crew in order to get as far away from the island where he was imprisoned as possible (and maybe procure some treasure along the way).

Personality-wise, he is easily angered and slightly paranoid.

Any comments or criticisms are welcome. And also suggestions for a better name.

At first glance Alana Bronze is likely the best example of a standard bedtime story pirate - she's an adventurous treasure-hunter who has developed a habit of breaking the law. On the inside, however, is a girl who knows that this appearance is important to the public opinion of herself. She just doesn't care.

Alana can hold her own in a swordfight, but is not excellent, and greatly prefers to be on the other side of something that can hit from a distance. She is weakest when being hit by a group larger than two, as she cannot keep up with all of the combat developments. So long as she is winning, she's happy - but god help you if she starts losing. Alana has never been a gracious loser.

Her only special ability is that she can jump about twice as far and high as a normal person. (Bunny girl!)

Also, has the name of the ship been decided.

The basic concept for him was that he is a rookie who joined pirate crew for his own reasons, whatever they may be (as they are yet...secret. Spooky, ain't it? ). His sword is kinda heilroom and he is still quite young lad, and has much to learn, or at least that much that he does not cleave himself apart in combat

Will Sclav (left) and Bursuc (right)
Story: Will Sclav began his life as a slave of a viking village in the north, his life was normal for a slave until one day he, the other slaves cutting wood and their guards was attacked by a big badger-like beast. It killed all but Will and one of the guards who dragged Will home after he (Will not th guard) was bitten by the beast. Since that nothing important happened until one year later when a drunken viking tried to kill him and Will transformed into a werebadger form that later would name itself Bursuc and killed the viking, after that he fled and miraculously succeeded in escaping on a small fishing boat and sail out into the world. When Will found land again he was at an island far souther than the viking one where he had lived all his life and was free for the first time, sadly his lack of knowledge (mainly of the law) soon got him hunted by the local police, luckily the pirate ship was docked at a nearby beach and he succeeded escaping onto it. Hearing bout the free and lawless lifestyle of the pirates he soon ended up joining them on their adventures.
Other details: His were-badger transformation can manifest when he is in great danger or when his willpower can't control Bursuc. He has a fear of large animals and one of freezing to death, both originates from slavehood traumas.
And yes, he is supposed to look like a girl
Fighting style: Will fights with hand-to-hand combat and so does Bursuc though his attacks are far more fierce.

He also is on a life long quest for the biggest hat in the world. So far he is the owner of the largest wearable hat known to man.
Not unlke many other high ranking buccaneers he takes the hats of other captains as trophies. Inside his cabin on his flagship the Mustard Queen he keeps a large collection of trophy hats on a wall. Each one of them with the former owners name under them.
Captain Manpower gathered his armada of pirate ships by defeating other pirate crews and forcing them to work for him if they didnt want to die.
This made him not only the most feared but also most hated pirate in the business. Other pirate crews try to stay out of his way. The more brave ones try to stop him, being worried that he might become one of the most powerful individuals in the world.

Captain 'Stashing is a grumpy man in middle age. He answers to almost everything with violence and will not tolerate anyone with a bigger hat than his own to be alive. Even if that creature is of a size that would make any hat smaller than his own useless.

When the ship Kaysto's Green was lost with all hands, two crewsprites were born. Bow Kaysto and Stern Kaysto (from the different parts of the ship that they were built out of). Bow Kaysto is a skilled Helmsman, while Stern serves as a Navigator, a talent she picked up considering that part of her body is made up of old maps and charts.

Not much is known about Mr. X. Including his real name. When the captain was signing the crew, that was all "Mr. X" signed- an X. He got onto the crew entirely by his ability to stare down anyone who didn't want him on the crew. He doesn't talk. At all.

So, we have about 14 pirates on board the... ship.

What did you guys name it, exactly?

@Keris- I somewhat agree with you here. Traker, what I'd reccomend is you make your character either a normal mouse, or do what KP and I do, and make your character anthromorphic.

Which would involve using a normal body, scuplting the head a bit, and adding a tail.

Of course, this is up to you, ultimately.

Didn't the big-hatted captain have four ships? besides we have already seen one NPC pirate so why shouldn't there be more? (if Jack Sparrow could run a ship with two guys then 14 can't be a problem)
