WWII Welsh POW magazine now online
Found here. Put online to comemorate the 70th aniversery of the start of WWII, these magazines where made by glueing school book pages together with fermented soup as glue, taken from troops meger rations. One copy was made and handed around, the guards never knowing they existed.

Re: WWII Welsh POW magazine now online
Certainly this is one of the strangest things I've seen for a while? I hardly can believe it's from a German POW camp, as it is richly illustrated and actually a fun read. But I guess if I were a Nazi prisoner I'd have sad stories enough. Thanks for pointing me towards this amusing little piece of history.

This is a reference to the specific Stalag.
Well, we certainly don't speak 'bout "Hogan's Heroes", but the Germans POW, even if terribles (My father's uncle were in one of them), were lead by the wehrmacht. Some of them were administered by luftwaffe's personell. Not exactly like to be under SS talon.Do I contradict myself?
