I'd put Metroid Space Fed closer to Star Wars than Star Trek. Giant Planetary Shields, Wormholes for FTL, Power Armor, highly-advanced genetic engineering, etc.

Weird versus matches I've seen? Darth Vader vs. Master Chief was probably the worst, if only because they said the MC would win.

    Eh, heard that one before.

Keep in mind though, Samus can't be a Bond Chick. She's more competent than he is.

While he doesn't come up very often, Saint of Killers wins. Always.

Bond's actually rather competent. Or at least Roger Moore Bond is. Sean Connery Bond wins her over with his rugged charm regardless of her competency anyway.

He defeated Gondor at Osgiliath. Rather soundly, I might add.

Neither of those exist, so that's fine. Sean Connery was the last Bond. Ever. Capiche?

She's also portrayed as constantly alone. Yeah she'd jump at the chance for real human affection.

But if Bond just did it to complete "the mission" (which I'm leaving vague do to lazyness), he's dead. Nothing will save him.

Also, I'm not sure if I'd rather see them fight or see a 'The Justice Friends' style sitcom with them.

Sean Connery IS in Goldfinger. It was his third Bond film, as well as the third Bond film to be made. So there goes that little statement.

I just heard another one that is bound to spiral out of control and kill everyone.

Star Wars (All of it) vs. Dragon Ball Z (All of it).

The only redeeming factor is that they left GT out of it...

Folks... I don't think the intention of this thread was to START those nonsensical VS. fights.

I mean, really now. Last time I checked, it was to, you know, MOCK them.

You'd have to be really disconnected from the discussion at hand to not see that we're mocking the concept as a whole as well as mocking non-sensical vs arguments.

Maybe it was the reignition of the Vader v Voldemort fight that touched a nerve.

Yeah yeah, shouldn't have brought it up. But the very fact that even a casual mention of it threatened a restart of the fight kinda proves my point about how aggravating that one particular vs fight was (at least to me).

In reality, it depends whose writers are writing.

The easiest way to beat Wolverine is to accept that he's unkillable and just beat him up and put him somewhere out of the way. Like Neptune.
