All of you can pick out snippets of a rustling noise, and some catch sight of a gaunt silhouette framed against the inky night... the silhouette of a humanoid figure.Last edited by Elfin; 2009-08-24 at 12:46 PM.

Re: Middle-earth
There is no answer but for a muted hiss and a soft clink of metal.
The veil of dark mist seems to part like a curtain as the figure approaches. The thing steps forward: a gaunt, twisted horror with flesh of drained white and eyes burning with hate; it wears a rusted and ragged suit of chainmail. The cruel, pale glint of gold glimmers off of a multitude of rings and amulets and chains hung about the nightmarish creature, and dark gems smoulder as they adorn the monstrous thing. Again it hisses, and an icy fog streams from its emaciated face; it raises clawed hands and lets out a silent scream that pierces even your soul and sends whispers of a long-lost tongue about your minds.

Re: Middle-earth
Eldrahil's dark blue robes are drenched in rain and they hang on him heavily the elf is dragged back towards earth with each step he takes. Eldrahil rushed to Hugo on all fours at one point as the halfling fell horror stricken by the grim shade that threatened them all. Pulling the hobbit's head up in the darkness of their surroundings Eldrahil saw nothing but faint reflections of his pupils insanely contorting and flickering. The venerable elf placed one of his hands upon the little one's brow forcing his energy and resolve to flow into the halfling.

SpoilerTechnically, that was not a fear effect, but I'm still going to rule that Eldrahil's Remove Fear spell cuts your time paralyzed in half. You're now only paralyzed for 3 rounds.

Re: Middle-earth
Thullaer narrows his eyes, trying to remember if he had ever before come across anything with more than passing similarity to this. Smirking at it, he brings up his swords and cries, "What have we here? A silly child, dressing up in his grandfather's old armor…nay! A skinny white cur, barking and howling at the moon, scratching at rats with his dull claws." He starts to sing, a wordless song that swells up against the wind; his eyes shine with an angry light, and his allies feel the weight of centuries - not dragging them down, but lifting them up in a cadence of joy.

Re: Middle-earth
In a burst of fury the dwarf charges at the wight, cleaving its undead flesh with his gleaming axes. In a storm of polished steel the creature is torn open in many places; but no blood spills from the withered skin, dried up many ages ago; and if anything the dark fire burns even brighter in its empty eyes.

Re: Middle-earth
Harnir's arrow sails through the air straight at the barrow-wight, but just as it nears its target the horror draws a wicked blade in a lightning-swift arc, slicing the arrow in half.
The wight hisses and a cold grin spreads across its stretched, emaciated face; it lifts its sword in the air. The blade is thin and rusted, yet razor-sharp still: cruel and uncaring it gleams with evil light. The barrow wight fixes its empty sockets on Ain, and with inhuman speed sweeps the sword down upon the dwarf.
SpoilerOk, this time I'll let you have 2 attacks. Just remember that normally it takes a full-round action, so you'll need to get Pounce if you also want to charge.
