Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Zaric with a swift foot once again drops his axe to his side, arches his back, and moves 25ft to the south. Knowing a wizards fragility Zaric keeps an eye on Adem as he travels southward to ensure he is in no imminent danger and is remotely safe. As Zaric turns once again toward the battlefield he is stopped in his tracks by what seems to be the body of a fallen friend. A single tear streams into the course brown hair that covers his face. “If I had a lit torch I would cook you like the swine you are for doing this to Kelsin, you grease covered demons!!!!” Zaric draws back his axe and grips it tightly.

OoC:
I just realized I skipped Order. It was not Virug's turn yet, it was Secans. To rectify this, I am going to keep Virug's actions, and simply skip his turn on down the line.
To ensure:
Order:
Ivan
Caeric
Zaric
Secan
Me
Krezen
Virug
Kelsin
Janus
Tainas
Douglas
Adem
Me
It is Secan's turn right now. After Krezen's turn, it will be Janus's turn, not Virug's.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
"Fine, fine, I'll do what you say Maria," Secan mumbles as he focuses on the teachings of Feth. Tapping into the divine knowledge he has gained from her, He casts his strongest healing spell on Krezen. As the spell completes, Secan looks at Krezen with an annoyed look. He was hoping that no one would be needing healing DURING battle, but there wasn't much choice, otherwise Maria would nag again.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Zaric's Readied Action: (Executed for meeting proper checkpoints)
Noticing his target ignoring his call out to him, and attempting to strike out at Douglas, Zaric effectively loses it, and takes this moment to strike down the fool for not listening to his words, however important they may or may not seem.
OoC: (For everyone)
Spoiler
On his turn, Zaric used his Standard Action to strike down Krezen should he attempt to A) Move away from combat, or B) Attempt to strike Douglas. This readied action fulfiled Part B of the requirements.
Since he knew he would not be here to act out the rolls for such, (And it would slow down the game) he has done such in the OoC Thread.
Results (Notice these rolls are just copied from the OoC Thread..they are not actual rolls..:

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Janus
Janus had not noticed his comrade's declining fortunes, nor had he noticed the enemies steadily moving in. His vision was obscured with a blood red fog, and the only thought in his mind was to eviscerate Douglas, the self righteous prince charming who refused to melt under his blows. All vestiges of tactics forgotten, the diseased warrior let fly another tremendous blow at the black-clad man, not bothering even to right himself.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Krezen, focusing on Douglas, does not notice the axe at first. As it comes down, he raises his blade to parry, and it connects with the shaft. He pushes at it, trying to force it away, but too little too late; the momentum is good enough to push him back, and though it was slowed, through a wild stroke of luck it manages to sink into his unarmored neck. He pushes the assailant away, holding at the gaping wound. Stepping to the side, he glares at Zaric. "Well then. You have my rapt attention." Pale, he raises his blade, ready to fight.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
The tremendous blow took Douglas by surprise. Despite the seething rage and anger, he can't help but feel a tinge of warrior's respect for the brute. Such an attack from a disadvantaged position... Regardless he shook himself, and reminded himself of the gravity of the situation.
Douglas raised his sword, intent on striking the prone Janus once more. The black-clad swordsman brought down the blade with a force.
SpoilerDouglas continues to press the attack on Janus!

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Adem seeing his friends hurt bad starts to panic. What good are the arcane arts if he could not protect them! He steps to his left to line up his next shot better and dips his finger in his mouth. His hands starts to ack form the power coursing threw them so much then normal. He flicks his finger in a quick motion and an icey dagger appears in mid air flying into the group. He dagger passes the two foes and lands in the middle of the grease and shatters spraying ice over his foes.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
The arrow appears out of the darkness with such speed that the wizard has no time to react. It fly's by his nose so close it cuts some hair from his head and he is stunned for a millisecond before fishing his spell. After it is finished he takes a quick glance at the new attacker and shutters thinking how close death came.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Now that you have a closer look at Zaric you can truly see the attributes of his physique. Zaric looks mainly humanoid except for a more feral animalistic face. A light layer of fur covers all parts of his body where skin should be seen. Some of which is matted with blood and the rest is soaking wet with sweat. Zaric takes short shallow breaths very frequently and has bright blue pupils and small veins of blood running across his eye balls. In his deep coarse voice Zaric roars, "Your attention!!...your attention!! I require more than your attention NOW!! You will pay for what you have done to our cleric! You will pay with...YOUR LIFE!!" Zaric grips his axe as tight as his strength will allow and peers deep into Krezen’s eyes as he bring his axe up for another blow to Krezen's neck area.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Krezen barely avoids the ice knife, gritting his teeth but unaffected. As Zaric swings down with his axe, Krezen tries the same block, effortlessly pushing it to the side. "A true warrior would fight another on even grounds. Why don't you call of your speaker there so we can settle this like civilized individuals?"

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Tempting as it was for Secan to curse that annoying beast/human thing that is attacking them, Secan learnt from Maria's scolding that it would be better to be less spiteful, not that he would put much effort in that. However before he can do anything, he'd need to stand up. Still, as long as its productive for the team, I guess I could be spiteful at the same time, Secan thought to himself, the pain from the dagger attack was becoming more obvious with his attempt to stand up. Turning towards Zaric, Secan casts a spell that is only granted to him through the power of his goddess

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
"Like civilized individuals! Civilization and the rules/constraints bound to it can rot in the abyss..." Zaric stops with a blank confused look on his face as he stares at Krezen.
As Secan’s spell takes effect on Zaric anyone paying attention to him notices the following:SpoilerAn unusual look come across Zaric’s face. For a brief second, a moment of calmness can be detected from the raging barbarian. But, within a second of time (as the spell takes full effect) the caster should realize something is very much astray. Zaric's eyes are no longer blood shot instead the white of his eyes are slowly over taken by blood as the vesels in his eyes burst and surround his light blue pupils. The skin and fat around Zarics face is stretched and slimmed as new found muscle grows making his face look even more feral and animalistic. Then following the transformation in his face the change creeps down his neck into his armor. The sound of bones grinding against each other can faintly be heard by those nearest Zaric as the new muscle warps and tightens the body underneath his armor. The layer of hair that covers his body stands straight up (like that of a frightened cat). Zarics stops breathing as a human normally would and begins panting in rapid, shallow respirations. Sweat begins to bead and drip from every strand of hair covering his body.
All along Zaric says nothing just looking at Krezen piercing deep into his eyes slightly jerking and twitching as the changes take over his body.Last edited by Shock4484; 2009-09-15 at 01:48 PM.

Re: The Isle of Shau (1st Encounter)
Krezen glares at Zaric, his face stony. "Very well. You will die." He strikes Zaric, cleaving into his shoulder, and steps back, flicking the blood off his blade. "You will die because you are weak. You think you can hurt me? You worm. You think this can bring me down?" He takes off his pauldron, tossing it to the side and revealing strips of ragged flesh where Zaric struck him, next to a perfectly sculpted, pale shoulder. He tears at the wound, which oozes blood, spattering to the floor and painting his hand and arm red. Scraps of skin and flesh sit in his clenched fist.
"You really believe you can beat me, you loathsome, pitiful thing? I cannot be beaten! I am a God!"
And for a moment he is. Krezen's words ring throughout the battlefield, and everyone, from his enemies to his teammates, cower for a second as they hear his words- his powerful, godly words. Zaric most of all.
