Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
Okay, the bet thing was totally underhanded, but you don't strike me as the sort of person to like a fair fight anyway. So I'll play along with it, and may the best man win.
Initiative: (1d20+2)[21]
Stuff prepared (unreadable):
SpoilerSoulmelds:
Therapeutic Mantle - 1 essentia
Air Step Sandals - 1 essentia

Druid:
2nd Level: Earthbind
1st Level: Sunstroke x2; Speak with Animals
0 Level: Cure Minor Wounds x4
You see Tattoo on the other side of the battlefield. Arazathe is at his side, he still has his mantles and claws but instead of a glowing orb presents a pair of energy sandals. He has a new falchion sheathed, and holds a loaded crossbow in one hand.
He's also sporting twelve backpacks (eleven of which are brand new).
Unreadable:
SpoilerOne snake in each backpack, 4 without snakes.

Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
OOC (readable)
SpoilerActually, that wasn't intentional but you had walked off already. And how are you carrying twelve backpacks on a gnome? the DM told me I could only have one. And wasn't that snake killed? It doesn't really matter. Where are you standing?
Initiative: (1d20+13)[26]
You see Jasmine on the other side of the arena, clutching a guisarme in one hand and something in the other. She seems to be wearing heavy armor and has a bow and a greatsword as well as a backpack. She seems excited to fight someone who can't be killed.
EDIT:Initiative should be one lower, sorry.Last edited by Lord Ruby34; 2011-09-28 at 09:54 PM.

Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
Tattoo starts in I-6 with the snake in I-7.
I'm not sure on the backpacks, should probably ask the DM. Snake's a new snake, same name. I assumed I could get a new AC, though should probably ask that as well.Last edited by Mysterious_A; 2011-09-28 at 05:11 PM.

AC is fine, I think it only takes a day to get a new one, and the fights are on different days. But how would you even wear twelve backpacks!?
We'll wait for the DM.

Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
Well, one on the back, one on the front, four tied around each leg, two with their respective straps tied up and used as a belt around the waist...
And well, the final one I'm having a problem with. Could go for the head I guess, though it would be inconvenient."Mankind censure injustice fearing that they may be the victims of it, and not because they shrink from committing it."

Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
Jasmine lets the blow bounce off her armor and smiles. "No, you didn't heal as fast that time. It is a spell. You didn't have to cast anything when that knight hit you, as this is something more indirect than a healing spell. I've picked that much up from killing mages before. Obviously you're using a spell to supplement something. It's possible it's those glowing things on your arms, but I can't do anything about them. On the other hand you're wearing two backpacks to an arena fight. Who does that without a reason. So I'm going to break those bags and you're gonna die." Her voice seems to be dripping with the excitement of the kill.
Jasmine delivers her lecture while stepping back and moving her feet slightly. With a single quick motion she flipped into the air and flew up and forward, striking from ten feet directly above Tattoo. She slashed viciously as the pouch on his chest. If you look carefully you might notice spots appear on her face.

Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
Wait, I'm confused. Are you stepping through the snake? You said you were directly in front of it. There's no way you can get at me without using a move, and thus provoking an AoO from Arazathe.

Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
But you can't five-foot step and move in the same round. Any kind of movement from one square to another at all, and it doesn't matter what sort of action it takes.
Or at least, that's the way I've always seen it used....
Edit: Anyway, your mechanical descriptions of your posts are rather incomprehensible. Maybe elaborate a little more?Last edited by Mysterious_A; 2011-09-28 at 10:47 PM.

You're right, I just haven't used it that way before. My bad. I do eat an AoO from your snake then. Won't stop my movement though.

Re: GoC Fight 9 Jasmine vs Tattoo
Ok, I'm still trying to figure out how you can sunder my backpack and slash me in half at the same time.
But anyway, backpack is killed. Tattoo hisses furiously and from it fall five acid flasks and one strange-looking vial. There are also four tiny vipers there who, upon falling to the ground, seem to converge around the odd vial, and they do really seem rather protective of it. You probably shouldn't mess with it (as in, please, please, don't mess with it pretty please?)
Anyway, Arazathe hurries to his owner's defense. He moves to put himself between Jasmine and Tattoo, and then attempts to start a grapple on Jasmine. This provokes an AoO.
Attack (touch): (1d20+7)[19]
Opposed Grapple: (1d20+2)[4]

Not done with my round, need to see if Arazathe suceeds (or is killed) before I go on.Last edited by Mysterious_A; 2011-09-29 at 11:30 AM.
