The church takes a while to rip apart and arrange into a bonfire but it is soon ablaze with holy fire cleansing every ounce of hellishness inside. You hope. Anyhow, it is now beginning to get dark.

As it starts to get dark, (2d4)[2] black, squawking, faceless winged things descend towards the belfry and turn on you when they see it burning. Sanity rolls against 0/1d6 Sanity loss.

Each of them swoops down intending to grab an investigator.

Reverand pulls his shotgun out and aims at the incoming abominations.

Meanwhile, the creatures approach at great speed and Robert aims with his bat.

Both barrels of the shotgun go off, two loads of grapeshot fly out and spin towards the creatures, ripping into one of one of the creatures' wings. It shrieks in agony and rage as it flaps its ruined wing, then gives up and falls dozens of feet to the ground and lies very still before expiring.

The second one has gone to attack Robert. As it prepares to grab him, he swings his cricket bat with all his force.

The bat misses the creature, but puts it off going to grab Robert again. It changes course and goes for Reverend James.

The two barrel-loads of pellets entirely sever the creature's head.

It is now getting quite dark, and there are many other leads to check. Mulcaster Bell should probably be informed as well.

At the telegraph office, the man asks you what your message to the club will be.

"could you tell him that we want to speak with him in person if possible, and if not, to send some more help atleast."

The telegram is sent off and half an hour later one comes back informing you that Mulcaster has caught the last train to Yorkshire and will be arriving early next morning.

It is now very late. If a regular dinner was still being served, you would have missed it.

That night, just as you are drifting off to sleep, there is yet another scream.

"not again, this is become like a rubbish "whodunnit" murder mystery" Reverand runs towards the scream

This time, it was Mrs. Hooper's turn. Graves and Jevers are kicking in her door when you arrive, and finally it swings open to reveal Mrs. Hooper lying dead, stabbed thrice, with the pattern carved into her stomach. The window is wide open.
