I haven't been scried. I do have a contact to masons and a contact to someone who has been scried. I didn't know SW was a mason.

The kicker here for me, is that Happy hasn't defended herself and accused Murska either of misleading people or being mislead by his contacts. Something she would have done if she were innocent, because she and pretty much only she would have known something was wrong with Murska's accusation, and therefore a worm of bad influence in Murska's network somewhere. But she didn't. Typical Happy is guilty behavior.

Day 4 Ends

It's been so long...

The daughter he'd thought he'd lost so many years ago, before everything went to hell, back when things were supposed to be normal...

I'm here now...forever The little girl smiled, a sincere smile, an all-too-rare thing in this place, these times...

...but anything can be faked. Like the old saying goes: "Once you can fake sincerity..."

The Manor plays tricks on those inside: things seem to move, shadows seem to crawl and creep, and occasionally, very rarely, illusions drop to reveal what's underneath. When Tony blinked a few tears out of his eyes, everything seemed to change. He wasn't looking at his daughter anymore, but rather a woman with sad grey eyes. He blinked again and his daughter stood there, head cocked to one side quizzically.

No...don't do this to me...

Let her go! I won't see my daughter like this!

There's a funny thing about anger: it can come from any emotion. Fear, happiness, love, lust, with the right stimuli they can all become anger, and from anger: rage. Let her go!

The illusion dropped just as Tony was wrapping his hands around the mimic's neck, revealing the sad-eyed woman underneath.

Please...

Words were lost on him at this point. Sunny wouldn't be tormented like the others, not if he had anything to say about it.

Bones started to pop as Tony pressed his thumbs into the woman's throat.

Tony never returned to reality until the mimic's body had already dissolved, just as the last Fear's had, leaving behind a few scraps of grey clothing and an old battered crucifix.

You chose to kill happyturtle. She was a Fear.

But the day couldn't end there, the Manor was simply abuzz with activity. Elsewhere, two others had wandered someplace they shouldn't.

The basement was maze-like enough as it was, like it had been built with minotaurs in mind. But the cramped corridors, dark corners, and filthy walls turned the place into a true nightmare maze.

The walls all started to blend together, each turn just looked like the last. They could mark the walls, only to find themselves right back where they started: no way out.

They were trapped, just like flies in a web...

...and every web has a Spider.
