Well, I think the idea is that wolves are very big on things that win lots of trust, so being somewhere involved in the deaths of the entire wolf team, and each one of them having tried to kill me, I could point with impunity. And it is really convenient that they all died like that.

That would rely on Masons/Network being few/obvious enough to fly solo until the current seventeen people (fifteen after tonight) became two (or four if there were seven wolves to start). It would take surviving and directing six (or five) mislynches and killing off everyone who knows better. It wouldn't be a very good plan, and someone would probably smell a rat after I hadn't been killed for a couple of nights.

It's good that Phantom's bringing it up, though. Just because something is a bad plan doesn't mean it won't happen, and if there are more wolves after Lex we need that sort of paranoia.

I should really let him make his own points, though, and you your own rebuttal.

Some days it pays to consider who you may be throwing your lot in with. When paranoia runs high and people die from simply looking at the wrong person the wrong way this rings doubly true.

Known associates are being run through, sometimes literally. When the subject is...different, then they make an obvious target for the scared...

Knives in the dark sometimes make for much better messages than public executions. The one that threw her lot in with the wrong crowd, even unknowingly, was left bleeding her life out on the bedroom floor.

No one slept tonight, the Master wasn't going to let them. His deep voice echoed seemingly from every wall.

Shadows moved along the walls: stretching, slithering, stalking...

I'm growing bored of your antics: baseless accusations, sadistic choices...the taste grows stale after a while...

Scratching could be heard in the walls, like claws on wood.

Everything has become oppressive, cloying. The air is hot, making it hard to breathe, it's almost as if the Manor is on fire.

They tried to burn the place down once. It killed everyone inside, but that was a long time ago, before my time.

It's getting even hotter now. Sweat starts to bead on skin, the sounds of labored breathing is clear.

But...that's just not the way I like to do things. Call me cliche', but I like to see you all suffer.

Almost instantly the air reverts to normal, chilled night air.

After all, Phant had been setting up a little something capable of blasting the manor off the face of the earth, and now it is far enough along that even if he died, whenever the master was defeated, it would go off.

(No point yet. Now, two people in my mind are both the most and least trustworthy: Geesi and Mustiado. I think they are both victums, but I could be wrong. Also, Zar Peter, any explainations for the ghostly point a few days back?)
