Well, here's an updated version of the banner:
And one for the UNA:
If anyone is absent, please tell me.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
Something seems off about your template for my character, other then the missing camouflage pattern on the shirt that is.
I'll get back to you on that once I can figure out what it is.
Edit - Aha, the tail is missing and you used black as the eye color instead of
The ears are also kinda weird. <.<
Edit 2 - You fixed the eyes I see, but now the ears are even weirder.Last edited by Tiffanie Lirle; 2009-09-10 at 07:36 PM.

I like the contrast between the two. Who's the guy in the pinkish-orange shirt to the far right, in the second row, though?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
She's not in her military uniform, so a camouflage vest was unnecessary.
Totally not because I didn't want to spend a lot of time on the tiny coloured bits.
There you go, fixed. But the tail is hidden by Karen Dewey's head.
Thanks. The guy is an exemplary UNA citizen, like the guy on the left with the brown clothes is an "average" ALF member.Last edited by Mad Mask; 2009-09-10 at 07:39 PM.

Objection. Antoine doesn't have eyes. And the shadow is actually always there.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
Just so you know, I intend to keep nitpicking until my demands have been met.
It's a normal shirt. Nothing to do with any military or peacekeeper gear. <.<
Totally not because I didn't want to spend a lot of time on the tiny coloured bits.
And by moving the ears in your last edit you made the positioning even weirder.

What about Bright? I'd be interested to see him in your style, the Teifling devil-armed one-eyed awesome thing that he is.
(Not really a Devil Arm, just looks like one. Works the same as his gauntlets before)Last edited by Darklord Bright; 2009-09-10 at 08:03 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
Hmm...wow, the contrast between the two groups is huge. For one thing, almost all the UNA are human, and all of them humanoid.
I have three characters in the UNA, all of which were hidden up til now. Ned, the cloaker, who will be introduced in the beginning of FI. And two Dvati (Google it if you're not sure what they look like)who both wear dark green robes and are mages.
Also: I really like the picture of me. I've always wanted to give my character whisker-eyebrows, but have sucked too much at art to do so.
Of course, Carmina Burana is better, but I guess it's out of the question.Last edited by The Gremlin; 2009-09-10 at 08:45 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
Woah, great picture.
My only complaint is that Grandfather should be hunched over a little using a cane. He's an old man. A brilliant old man who knows everything there is to know about manipulating public perceptions, but an Old Man nonetheless.
However, you got his clothing spot-on.

Very good pictures, though Grim should have his swords (nitpick)
I guess we are finally nearing the FI...damn it has been long wait
Also, I wonder if this song would fit in casual narrative of FI world

Orff's Carmina Burana is something like an hour long. That makes it a little difficult to use as a theme.
Are you still blocking MM's images? I recall you setting up a filter during Greek avatar week.
What happens when you open the image directly?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
Well, although it was probably on purpose, I'm kinda disapointed about lack of posing character in this banner compared to the banner of resistance. I know they're supposed to look like a good guys (and lot of them probably are), but they somehow reminds me about a bunch of school kids standing in front of a camera....
I still like how you drew Skimmer though

The flash temporarily light up his face for the picture and they magically added eyes afterwards because hew looked creepy without them
@Mad: Well the banners are certainly well made but I agree that Sinister should look cuter (isn't it part of his problems?) and there are no KOBOLDS!!Treasured Quotes

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
Well, we could always say that they were taken by Powers That Be beyond fourth wall to be photographed. That could explain it...
Cameraman: Right, so are all of you guys ready for the picture?
*collective mumbling*
Cameraman: Seems so! So stand together over there, and...
Powers That Be: Hey, where is Grim Ranger?
*collective murmur*
Cameraman: Where in the...Grim! Stop stabbing the crew!
*screaming, noises of general disorder*

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXVI: It's gonna be the Future Imperfect s
Personally, I have a problem with making somebody change their art style to accommodate the others. MM made this plot, he should be able to make the banner the way he thinks is best.
If you look at the two banners, you see a huge difference: The UNA is friendly, the ALF has creepy inhuman evil creatures. That's exactly the way it should be: The UNA says we're evil, heartless people, and deep down, we wonder if they're right.
