Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Claudius Maximus vs. PhoenixRivers
I guess we'll just resort to a cut and paste of Saph's map. I'll include some of the original information since it seems to come up now and again:
{table=head]|A|B|C|D|E|F|G|H|I|J|K|L
1||||||||||||
2|
3|||C|C|||||C|C||

8||||||||||||
9|||C|C|||||C|C||
10|||C|C|||||C|C||

12|||||||||||[/table]
Squares are 5 feet each. C represents column positions, running floor to ceiling. There are exits at F1/G1 and F12/G12, not that it matters unless you want to retreat. Ceiling is 30 feet high. There's a 10' square tunnel at F6-G6-F7-G7 that goes up another 30 feet.
Starting positions: You pick a starting square in row 1 or 2, I pick a starting square in row 11 or 12, chess style.
If you'd prefer a higher ceiling, I'm ok with it being up to 60 feet high.
Buffs (OO):
SpoilerAll-days: Oils of Grater Magic Weapon on weapons, Oils of Greater Magic Fang on tentacles, Oil of Greater Mighty Wallop on all four, Leading The Charge Stance.
Round 1: Tattoo of 130 ft. Touchsight, Law Devotion for +5 AC
Round 2: Tattoo of Animal Affinity for +4 dex and Str, Animal devotion for +6 Strength
Round 3: Tattoo of Expansion for +2 size categories, Packlord Bloat

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Claudius Maximus vs. PhoenixRivers
Bah, I knew I forgot something. I'm right across from you in F11. You see a huge (the size category) stocky humanoid covered in gray fur. He has large, black feathered wings and carries two hammers, one smaller than the other. Four tentacles emerge from his shoulders, flailing about.
I have Touchsight; what do I see/feel?
Edit: Just to make it clear, I'm centered in F11. My space extends from D10 to G12.Last edited by Claudius Maximus; 2009-09-24 at 02:48 PM.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Claudius Maximus vs. PhoenixRivers
The end effect is: Wind blowing from the line between row 2 and 3, south.
Move: West, lifting up and off the ground as I go behind the pillar at C3-D4.
You passed the fort save.
Once Behind the pillar:Spoilerend movement in C2. Use belt of battle: 2 charges. Ready an action: Cast downdraft defensively if I see my opponent end movement and attempt to do anything else.

I move to F1-G3, flying with my wings. What do I see?

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Claudius Maximus vs. PhoenixRivers
I finish my move by going up to altitude 15'.
If my move completes:
SpoilerI attack you with both of my hammers. See the below post for information about the off hand hammer attack. The large hammer attack is first. Also, you become aware that I have Mageslayer.
If the first attack is uninterrupted:
SpoilerAttack roll: (1d20+35)[5](40)
If that hits:
SpoilerDamage: (6d6+19)[46], and you are struck with several effects:
First, you get hit with a CL 15 targeted Greater Dispel Magic
Then, You must make a DC 30 fortitude save or be dazed for one round.
Then, you must make a DC 30 fortitude save or have all your speeds halved and be affected as if by Dimensional Anchor for one round.
Then, you must make a DC 26 will save or start separating into your constituent elements, taking (2d8)[11] damage and being unable to cast spells, use items, or manifest psionic powers. You are also blinded and take a -4 penalty on attack rolls.
My turn is not over.Last edited by Claudius Maximus; 2009-09-24 at 03:55 PM.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Claudius Maximus vs. PhoenixRivers
Hold on, I need to make a correction. You may be referred to this post.
If you are:
SpoilerI attack you with both of my weapons as a standard action. I have already rolled my larger hammer, but heres the smaller one:
If attack is not interrupted:
SpoilerAttack roll: (1d20+35)[2](37)
If that hits:
SpoilerDamage: (3d6+19)[31]
You must make a DC 26 will save or start separating into your constituent elements, taking (2d8)[10] damage and being unable to cast spells, use items, or manifest psionic powers. You are also blinded and take a -4 penalty on attack rolls.
My turn is still not over.Last edited by Claudius Maximus; 2009-09-24 at 04:00 PM.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Claudius Maximus vs. PhoenixRivers
Effects are targeting me. I will apply them in the most beneficial order.
Will Save (DC 26): (1d20+23)[24]
Fort Save (DC 30): (1d20+18)[29]
Fort Save (DC 30): (1d20+18)[24]
Dispel Magic:
(1d20+15)[24]vs DC 29 (Owl's Insight)
(1d20+15)[23]vs DC 29 (Master Air)
(1d20+15)[24]vs DC 25 (Superior Resistance)
Will Save (DC 26): (1d20+17)[19] + 6 more if resistance is not dispelled.
Failed all saves. Concede match, as 75% of my HP are gone, and I can't act.Last edited by PhoenixRivers; 2009-09-24 at 04:02 PM.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Claudius Maximus vs. PhoenixRivers
I thought I got to determine the order? Regardless, The dispels all fail.
I was going to do two more full attacks this turn, for 9 attacks each. The unraveling effect would have applied to each attack that hit. I think that ability is a bit excessive, personally.Last edited by Claudius Maximus; 2009-09-24 at 04:12 PM.
