ABR Discussion Thread MCMLXXXVIII: The Plot Pandemic
SpoilerWelcome to the 27th ABR Discussion Thread!
I've changed the title format. Cue the apocalypse.
Because we used to burn through new ABR threads so quickly, we created the Discussion thread. All banter goes here, and all comics and non-canon kills go in the main thread. (see line below)
Random kills are somewhat less common nowadays.
Avatar Battle Royale: Avatarmageddon is the current thread. Post artwork there.
Yay, it's fixed now !
The ABR backup thread, is used in the event of Giantitp becoming untenable due to server issues or otherwise.
Someone should make a TJH trailer...
Trailer for the Fat Fish Fury plot by Kpenguin
It's better than those before, but wait 'till you see mine...
Trailer for ABR by Omicroncubed
Future Imperfect Trailer by Nameless
The Avbaroy Wiki
In my opinion, Wikia is better. And we shouldn't use two wikis for one community.
The world map of Avbaroy
That map was made by me and my awesome cartography skills.
The Novaris Wiki
Wikispaces is one of the worse wikifarms I've seen out there.
Backstory Comics
People's motivation in their backstories are limited.
A Story of Death By Nameless (Currently inactive)
A Tale of Two Fangs By Falgorn (dead)
Endless By Omicroncubed (active!)
Forest Fire By CrimsonAngel (dead)

The Fire Within By Firedrake and Chriky (dead)
Dawn of Yesterday by Fayt (On Hold)
The Skornbail Incident by Shades of Gray (dead)

People find that web Active/dead means the status of the comic, not the person.comics are hard work!

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVII
Oh hey, the new thread is up. I am severely disappointed by the lack of a witty title, though.
Also, it would seem that my thread was the first ABR discussion thread to ever get locked. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVII
Art for my idea of Novaris character:
He is spiritbound, but unique in one thing: he has been bonded with multible kaa, three to be exact. This of course interests goldcloaks, from who he is always hiding from, as ending up in their hands would propably mean trouble for him. The binds took his morality, memories all the way until the start of his bound and chunk of his life-force, leaving him rather unhinged invidual. The kaa bound to him are not too friendly towards each other either, which often causes wacky hijinks. He is often seen as insane, and his lack of morality means his actions are most often guided by his self-interests and the voices of bickering kaa in his head. Though the bounds can allow him to wield great potency in spirit magic at times, most of the time his magic is extremely random, and mostly does not function at all, as he has to negotiate with the kaa before he can do squat.
The spirits bound to him have variable goals. One is destructive spirit who revels in violence and wanton destruction, and often urges him to go on destructive rampage. One is kind and helpful, wishing him to help people. The third one is kind of a middleman, advicing him to go on course that is most benefical to his own goals at any given time. Thanks to these three, his decicions can be rather strange at times. If he acts in way that displeases them, the spirits can and most propably will stop helping him by allowing him to use spirit magic, resulting at times to complete powerlessness. He almost never manages to convince all of the spirits to work in uninson but on extremely rare ocassions he manages to do so his spirit magic is usually beyond compare, even if for limited time.
@V: Maybe it is a standard practice?
I really support you here.
And about that veteran idea... Fayte Graydon had a great idea, making a serious plot with people that care about it... She just went wrong on the veteran thing. The evaluation method was pretty bad, thats all
I support the idea if you change the "veteran only thing" to something like "people serious about it only thing", since I'm kind more of a serious plots kind of guy

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVII: The Plot Pandemic
What's weird is that there was a 2 hours gap between the locking of the thread and the opening of this one.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVII: The Plot Pandemic
Why would we wait until page 50 to do that?

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVII: The Plot Pandemic
Really? That is nice
I'm just too lazy to filter all the ABR silliness and try to catch on. Sounds like its going to be good if nobody throw megaman on it to fight godzilla while batman is racing a car with paul mccartney and ruin everything.
I was really sad to see that TSS end up dead... I was really enjoying the idea but wasn't so sure of myself to go on with the plot for myself, since TSS wasn't really documented and it was kind of hard to find out things among the posts
I really support CoN because of the well written wiki
By the way... I got the feeling that some 'veterans' are feeling intimidated by the new face of ABR Don't be silly ok? We are all one big Playground family, we should all be getting along

Finally, a new thread! I was waiting here two hours!
Heh, see, it's funny because normally you have to wait longer.
Now I can announce my recent random kill edit to my last post!

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVII: The Plot Pandemic
Wow! Hey! That is something that fits everywhere!
"Be good.. or Chris the celestial will set you on fire."
"Make me sandwich.. or Chris the celestial will set you on fire."
"Move the freaking plot! Or Chris the celestial will set you on fire."
EDIT:
Why some people draw kobolds with that creepy body shape?
I really don't get it.
