Prometheus [ACRO]

Prometheus Securites, a multinational military contractor, is owned by Norman Goswell, the father of Tobias and Sam. The company is based out of London, but has a Headquarters and several facilities in every continent.

Dani appears in front of the tall skyscraper that houses the North America HQ, in the windy city of Chicago.

[The Bushranger]

Dani looks up at the building, glad she'd grabbed an extra set of clothes from her closet quickly before leaving the base proper...


Gathering herself, she draws up to her full four-foot-eight and marches inside.

Daisuke suddenly appears in front of Dani. His sword is out, and it is glowing {{see avatar}}
So. This is where Sam is. If she missed the deadline, as I said, Dani, it is likley that she is being held. At least allow me to accompany you to watch your back, as even if you believe that this cannot be solved through violence, some people in there may not have the same restraint.

The receptionist barely gives Dani a glance as the girl enters the atrium. The guy with the glowing sword gets her full attention, as well as the security personnel's.
There's a sign by the front desk with the directory.

We are here to see Samantha Goswell. She said that she was coming here.

Shinken, you can reseal.
The sword stops glowing, and Daisuke resheathes it.
I am not a violent person. But Samantha said that she was coming here, and both myself and this girl here are worried about her. It would be to the benefit of everyone if you would relieve that worry.

[The Bushranger]

Dani sighs and smiles at Daisuke.
If you insist, just put the sword away! You're scaring people!

She turns her attention to the receptionist and gives her her biggest, cutest grin. Hi! Sorry about my, um, friend, my dad told him to protect me and he's a little overzealous at times about it! I was wondering if maybe I could see Mr. Goswell?

She kicks Daisuke in the shin for failing his Stealth check.

[FireFox]

I, uh, I... You mean, The Mr. Goswell? He's... he's not here... A lie.

[The Bushranger]

Aww, really? We were told he'd be here! Are you sure? Maybe he, I dunno, snuck in or somethin' without telling you? Dani pouts. Cutely. We really do need to see him about business!

[horngeek]

Allow me to show you somthing.

Suddenly the air around Daisuke is filled with mostly white ribbons, but one red one that seems to come from Daisuke himself.

I have the ability to track souls. And this (grabs one of the white ones) signifies that Mr. Goswell, as you so charmingly call him, is here. And this one (grabbing another white ribbon) tells me that his daughter is also here. We want to see him now.

The strange thing is that Daisuke has not varied his tone at all during this speech.

Secretary is saved from having to answer by a security officer stepping forward and gesturing towards an elevator in the corner. Mr. Goswell is awaiting members of GLoG regarding his daughter.

[horngeek]

The ribbons disappear, as Daisuke nods his head. Thank you.

[The Bushranger]

Has anybody ever told you about being subtle? Dani stage-whispers to Daisuke before smiling, cutely, at Secretary and grinning, also cutely, at the security officer. See! He just didn't tell you he was in, he wanted it to be a surprise! And, seemingly as cheerful as ever, she heads for the elevator.

Daisuke follows her into the elevator. I have. I'm showing it now, in not just releasing my spirit pressure, causing everyone on the base to collapse, and then walking up to the office and getting Sam out of here. Unlike some Shinigami, I do like to avoid violence.

The elevator, which is entirely devoid of inside controls or buttons, closes once they board and floats upward silently. After a few seconds, the door opens into a hallway with a cluster of heavily armed men and women around the door at the far end.

Interesting. I assume that Goswell-san is behind that door?

{{-san is a japanese suffix, similar to Mr. I'm using it because Daisuke originates from an area similar to Japan. The earlier use of Mr. Goswell is my bad. By the way, I am not a Ninja, I am a Shinigami.}}

You need to learn how to avoid the cops and the front page, too.

Dani shakes her head and steps out of the elevator, raising an eyebrow at the armed folks around the door.
I think that would be a reasonable presumption!

She puts on her best smile, and walks confidently torwards the group in her overly cheerful fashion. Hi! We're here to see Mr. Goswell, I think he's waiting for us? We wouldn't want to be late!

A guard tries to collect any weapons the two may have on them, explaining as he does so. A lot of bad people want Mr. Goswell dead, so you'll have to hand over any weapons before you go in.

By the door, all of the gaurds are... visually frisking Dani. You know, to see if she obviously has a holdout. One of them mutters to his mate. Why would Sammy want to deploy with these... unprofessionals? She looks like a Civvie and he looks like an inmate.

[The Bushranger]

Surrre, that's why they're looking her over.

Dani giggles and hands over her Swiss Army Knife. Which happens to be the only weapon she's carrying.
Yup, she left the big honkin' space gun at home.
This would be because you could say she is a weapon, herself, what with her abilities.
Not that she's going to tell them that.

She grins up at the muttering guard. Judge me by my size, do you? she chirps. I'm more than meets the eye!

She does wonder what he means about deploying - after all, Sam's kidnapped, right? - but doesn't comment on it.

[FireFox]

The muttering one raises an amused eyebrow and consults a piece of paper. Nobody's judging you, Danielle Williams. Mr. Goswell will see you now. They open the door for her and gesture for her to enter. Daisuke will be detained outside until he undeadtimes and gives up any weapons.

[The Bushranger]

Now Dani narrows her eyes a bit, wondering how he knew her name, then decides not to muse on that too much, and smiles. Thanks for letting me in! she chirps, before taking a deep breath and entering the room o' doom.

The room is a modestly sized office, with no real decorations to speak of. There are two gaurds on the inside of the door, and they check out Dani too.
Behind the desk is a rather old looking man who gestures at a chair. Please sit down, Miss Williams.

Daisuke undeadtimes
For the record, I am not an inmate. I will leave my sword with you.

Daisuke hands his sword over. I must warn you that this sword is a part of me as much as your arm is a part of you. More. Although she can restore damage to herself, I will still look for compensation if she is damaged.

What they don't realise is that to them, Daisuke hasn't really became less dangerous, although if somone with similar power to him came along he could be in trouble.

After doing so, he walks in and stands behind Dani when she sits down.

{{Bushranger, you've got permission to godmod me if I'm not around when or if combat happens. I've got a high-speed movement technique that makes it appear as if I'm teleporting, and am a highly dangerous hand-to-hand combatant, at least to these guys. }}

Dani looks the man over for a moment before shrugging slightly and dropping into the indicated chair.

So, you're Sam's dad huh? she asks after an almost-lengthy pause. I guess you know why we're here then! Where is she?

[horngeek]

And perhaps more importantly, why hasn't she come back when she said she would?

{{And Bushranger, Daisuke will avoid killing unless Dani or Sam gets seriously hurt. Non-lethal blows until then. I'm not going to deadtime if I log off, my guy will follow Dani and generally act to watch her back, and Sam when we find her. }}

I am and I do. He steeples his fingers with a sigh. She is safe. As for having her return to your doomed world, why, I'm afraid that's out of the question.

I see. Is this Samantha's desicion, or yours?

Samantha is my only daughter. I have seen her killed once before my eyes and I will not let her go back to GLoG to die in the apocolypse there. This is non-negotiable.

[horngeek]

AND IF WE DIE THERE, DO YOU THINK THAT THOSE RESPONSBLE WILL STOP THERE?!!

Daisuke starts to calm down. Did she have any say in this herself?

The old man sighs in disappointment. One child, one apocalypse, one destroyed world. This one is safe, and therefore my daughter is. Do you truly think she is so stupid as to not escape a doomed world? I assure you, Samantha does not want to die.

Then we want to speak to her. I assure you, I have doubts about whether she would abandon her friends. No matter what.
