    Today I have

    written a 2,500-word outline for my NaNoWriMo novel;
    written nearly 50% of an 800-word essay (and done the research for it);
    written 2/3 of a 1,200-word essay (and done some research).

    My brain feels like a wrung-out sponge. So much new information generated...and 45 minutes researching a fact about Charlemagne that I won't be able to use in my paper....

    Yeegh.

    The intelligent people live in the city. And here in Aus, the cities are safe. Safer than anywhere else, anyway...

    Except maybe Britain. But there, what is there to be safe from? Hot tea?

    that can't be right. that's where you live.

    hmm... maybe there's a trend among countries with Queen Elizabeth on their coins though... especially since Canada is included among those...

    nah, they all suck up to Brittyland if nothing else.

    I mean, they're still brown-nosing the Brits by putting their queen on the coins and talking with funny, indecipherable accents.

    and these are the British we're talking about. maybe if they were sucking up to a more badass country it'd be different...

    Hugs would be nice. I think what I need more than anything is to go to sleep, though, because that will relieve the working pressure a little. The list of today's obligations is checked off, anyway....maybe I'll call my mum and distract myself. I just got drawn into the essay again. Sigh.

    We're descended from Theodore Roosevelt. He's one of the few people in history who could handle Australia better than Australians.

    well, as is rather obvious, there are two types of Australians.

    there's the wussy type that make up about 98.445% of the population, and they're the ones that live in their pristine cities.

    the other type are the crazy hardass maniacs (like Steve Irwin) that go out and try to tame the wild beast that is the REAL Australia.

    so basically, if you know about Wilderness Survival, you've beaten out the 98.445% right there.

    EDIT: and this.

    Simpsons will never be as good as it once was. It was always the sort of show that could make a slapstick joke one minute and a Gilbert and Sulliven joke the next.

    Sadly, Shark jumpings abound.

    It's still pretty funny, actually. It's just that back then, everything they did was new. Now, nothing's new because everything's been done!

    Still, originality doesn't = funny. Otherwise who would watch Family Guy? (Deon't get me wrong, I love Family Guy. But it's maybe half as original as putting two pieces of bread together with something in between and eating it)
