A joint training mission between the 2nd and 5th squads is disrupted by the arrival of several Espada, who had set off without permission in an attempt to place Augustus Visconti's Armas Del Rey on an unwitting shinigami. This chapter ends when they are recalled by Takeshi.

Mainly hanging around. He's powerful enough that leaving Soul Society would weaken it, and be a selfish move on his part.

His role is that of a mentor - he mainly trains himself and others. His students so far have been Masato, Cecilia, Adrian, and Iwai. He has tasked himself with the mission to get powerful enough to destroy all Espada, plus Toho. A mission he's almost certainly doomed to fail. Teaching helps him on this route, though, because as he teaches others he is also covertly training and learning himself.

He came to the realisation that Cecilia was a better Captain than he was from an organisational point of view, although his men still retained loyalty to him as well. He decided not to take 11th Squad Captaincy away from her when she was better-suited to the task, and instead only resumed his role as Kenpachi. When Cecilia proves herself, he'll hand that title over to her as well, though he hasn't told her this.

On the wiki: A lot has happened since then. Rather than lumping the task of recording it all down on one person alone, how about we establish some kind of rota system? Everyone takes turns to write up a chapter?

Is your Zanpakutou part of your doll, or separate? Do you have Shikai, or better still, kch, Bankai? If not, do you feel you could gain these releases given time to train? Are you technically dead, a true Shinigami, or are you what some call a "Substitute?" Can you, or could you given time, use techniques such as shunpo and kido? Do you maintain a Bount's eternal life? Do you maintain a Bount's spiritron consumption and regeneration? Does your reiatsu register to a Shinigami as being that of a fellow Shinigami, or that of a Bount, or a mixture of the two? How much more powerful has Shinigamification made you? What would happen if you merged with your doll in this state? Can you perform purification and help departed spirits pass on?

As this could probably stand to be discussed in here, my theory:

I merely mean that it be possible for a Bonded to achieve Shikai and Bankai. Not that Eirine has to have done so.

As for why it's important... Well, the answer to that might just lie at the crux of the Bount Arc.

As said, those were just my theories, so I would think they could bend to however the plot needed them, and I have no problem with it. Though I stand to wonder what Eirine's Bankai would be.

As a Balancing, factor, though, would Unbount have a second release of some sort? ...Also stands to wonder what Vi's would be, though. There's only so much you can do with Space/Time control without bordering on absolute hax. As is, the two are already more or less impossible to beat together. XD

Well, Eirene can only know if she's already achieved them. That's why I said what I said.

I mean it should definitely be possible. Just, I don't think Eirene should have any way of knowing right now.

Well, she would have had to know about shikai/initial release, she used it vs. Satoshi. She might not have recognized it AS her shikai equivalent, but.

At least I think she did.
