Its also quite strange, while he was originally meant to be the Ishida of Team Masato, he's turned out rather like Ichigo in terms of how many big named people he's gone up against, and how many times he's lost against said people. Masato is still quite easily and clearly the Ichigo parallel...but as far as fights go I think Ran has been in more than almost any single other character.

There is no objection from Gaidoku, who proceeds to walk through the Garganta wordlessly, rubbing his jaw where he got hit before you hear a crack as bone slides back into place, and his regeneration sets in.

Don't Bount need to be in a place with high amounts of reishi/spiritrons in the air, like Seireitei, Hueco Mundo, or places like Khaos Temple to have natural regeneration like that?

And because KD is pestering me to post for Tai (), I've remembered why I haven't. That being Satoshi's claims that the 2nd Division is supposed to be...

Now...maybe I'm just confused but upon looking at the 2nd Division write-up that is mentioned nowhere in their duties which would still probably allay my concerns cause maybe it was forgotten. But then it says in a little note that...

Plus my own memory that Satoshi's 'have a plan against every Captain in case they turn rogue' was a personal quirk of his that he merely used his Squad to help with makes me doubt the integrity of Satoshi's comment.

On the other hand, dealing with rogue agents is one of the few uses of assassination in a kinder, gentler Gotei. Of course, just how possible assassination of such targets is can be variable, and one would think that all Captains would be best appraised of all the other Captains' abilities, so that if the 2nd Division Captain himself went rogue, then the others could bring him down, as well, and so the 2nd Captain wouldn't have to work alone in bringing down other captain-level threats.

As for the duties; i think it's a combination of forgetfulness, and unclear rewording on my part when I did that write-up. I had intended for 2nd Division to have some degree of the duties of the Executive Militia and Patrol Corps.

That said, how do we know he didn't have the rule written to accommodate his personal quirk? Or that it was carried over from his predecessor, who passed on that quirk?

That's the idea. 2nd Division doesn't root out the traitors. 2nd Division kills them.

And all Captains have access to it under certain conditions. Kiljaeran and Daisuke can directly access this information at any time, for any other captain. Each captain whose abilities best counter another captain or captains have access to the requisite information directly, if they so choose, and can furthermore access the information on all captains under certain conditions (typically at least 1-2 other captains combining access keys to said information).

Of course, on the flip side, that means that if a captain or captains go rogue, they could do some major damage.

That's also another reason I'm confused. Assassination just doesn't fit with the 'kinder, gentler Gotei' anyway and the 2nd Division also doesn't have that as a duty. Just force recon and fighting like ninjas (shonen ones anyway), which fits their MO.

EDIT: And we know because it's not in the 2nd's charter now and Tai get's to call him on his BS. Something she'd enjoy immensely.

not that either character would notice, as they can be some of the non-visually sneakiest characters outside of...well, the other characters who have learned Shirubaru's technique. But they might notice eventually.
