Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite restarting soon
Welcome to Insaneowar Lite. This is pretty much the same as insanowar but with a smaller. much more basic base, which contains a lab, an hanger for vehicles with a small trench system in front of it.
I have P.m the next five on the list. waiting for response.
Da Rules:
Spoiler1.) There are five players, each of which represent a commander of their army.
2.) Each player takes turns choosing some powerful character, semi-powerful group of characters, or large mob of expendable non-characters from any sort of media. Examples: The TMNTs, a Dreadnought from 40K, a mob of kobolds.
3.) When each player has 5 selections, the game begins.
4.) A map will be provided showing the layout of the battlefield. Each person will have a base of operations with which they can wage war. Note that each base is about 1 turn away from each other.
5.) A static turn order is established. In each turn, the player dictates what their troops are doing, as far as the opponent can see. Secret actions need not be reported (although it is good sportsmanship to give hints as to what your are planning).
6.) When troops engage, the person whose turn the engagement took place on decides the outcome, which will usually NOT be all one way. If there is any friendly dispute (and the dispute WILL be friendly, or else), other players/playgrounders chime in with their opinions. If no consensus is reached, it's a 50/50 slaughter.
7.) No retcons unless agreed by host and all the remaining players.
9.) You have 3 days to post your turn, if you miss this then it go'se to next player. This may be extend by contecting the host and posting on the thread.
8.) The winner is the one who wins.
Da Guidelinez:
Spoiler1.) You can't choose anyone TOO powerful. No gods, demigods, anything like that. Make it something that's about the same power level as the other troops on the field.
2.) Don't be a jerk. The objective here is to have fun--frankly, who wins and who loses is pretty arbitrary anyway. This game is definitely straddling the line between Silly and Structured.
3.) Respect Awesomeness. If a player is pulling off something that's just too awesome to believe, that should aid his victory.
4.) Enjoy yourself. Seriously, guys.

Re: Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite
I'm going to pick a mob of zerglings, there's approximately 36 of them and they are considered "fully upgraded", they run fast, attack fast, and can burrow

Re: Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite
36 zerglings are in a small swarm, mentioned that in my post. But they're upgraded, so the 36 of them are tougher than generic zerglins.
My second pick = Godzilla.

Re: Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite
A little powerful, isn't it? Godzilla barely even feels missiles launched from helicopters... It could, really, pick up a base and simply chuck it to kill whoever occupies it... It'd also move faster, wouldn't it?
Methinks a smaller, perhaps 20-foot Godzilla, would be more appropriate... Maybe even like 40 feet tall, but definitely not the standard (164-328 feet)Last edited by Wreckingrocc; 2009-10-05 at 08:53 PM.

Re: Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite
((Considering a proper Zergling rush uses, in the first wave, six unupgraded zerglings, I wouldn't say three full control groups of imbalings is 'small'. I'd classify it as 'medium harassment force', and it could even be upgraded to a medium attack force with a few ultralisks and a defiler.))

Re: Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite
No prob with the firefly ship, with no weapons (or shields?) it just a transport ship easily destroyed with (for example) Godzilla atomic breath.
Godzilla should be a small one, with out the awesome regenerative powers he normally has (he can regenerate from a skeletal, which may be a little to powerful) and with some weapons able to penetrate him. Unless you mean Zilla IN which case

Re: Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite
I've got no objections. Gaara's strong, but Godzilla could put up a good fight with him. Actually pretty much anything larger than human-sized would be able to give him problems.

Re: Insanowar 9: diet insanowar lite
Ok, so something that can't easily be cut into several thousand pieces. I think the metroids may have that covered.
