Thanks to Shhalahr Windrider and The Linker for explaining my acronym when I was away. And thanks for the link to the actual shower scene. Now that you've seen it, and heard the music, you'll be surprised how often it's used in comedies. I can think of a few times in the Simpson's alone.

They're both dark-skinned, bald, wear the same shade of clothing and have a crown. That's well within the parameters for a simple hotel clerk to start thinking "Oh, crap, it really could be him! If he is and I don't start treating him right I'm screeeewwed."

Particularly if she had only heard descriptions of him. Tufts of white hair notwithstanding, which could have conceivably fallen off with the rest of his hair since she last saw/heard of him.

I believe the similarities are intentional on Rich's part this time, if only as a callback gag.

-You can see Roy in #108 and Roy's corpse in #450 (and, yes, I've noticed things like Tsukiko in the background before).
-The title of #393 is different in the book. (Online: "Truth"; Printed: "The Truth Shall Set Her Free")

This has almost certainly already been said, but in comic 637, Nero is using his power to make popcorn in the little altar-ish bowl that looks like it's for burnt offerings- and that's where the popcorn came from. It just didn't click before. I need to re-read all the strips one of these days..

Oh, certainly. The strips would take even longer (much, much longer) to put out if the Giant had to redraw and color every circle for every face, every rectangle and ovoid for every body, every time. Forgetting to edit out weapons is an occasional and relatively minor consequence.

This is also why the Azurite and EoB soldiers (and dancers, from the pregame show) all look the same. Copy-paste and palette swaps.

several points are wrong here:
1. Only the cleric casting can ask questions, not someone nearby.
2. Speak with dead is does not interact with the spirit. It slightly animates the brain and mouth, and then moves the mouth and the corpse uses it's memories from when it was alive.
3.Speak with dead requires the corpse at hand, and only works with recently deceased corpses.
4.Information flow is mostly one-way. The cleric asks the question, the corpse answers to the best of it's ability. The spell even specifies the corpse can't gain new information.
