How did you choose your screen name?
Just as the title says.
And I'll answer my own question like this:
I once had an avariel(sp?) elf rogue named Shadow Moonwhisper. I think I was trying to create a new character for some online multiplayer game, and I couldn't fit Shadow Moonwhisper. So I shortened it to Shadowwhisper, and then I thought, "That doesn't look right," and took out one of the "w"'s and I have used it from then on.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
I picked 2 of my favorite kinds of animals and stuck them togeather... years ago that is, and it just stuck, and its easy for me to remember, Wolfscarab.... and its just Wolf instead of a specific type of wolf becuase I liked all kinds of wolfs....
The one problem with my name is that ever since I started commonly useing it... I haven't been able to get the idea out of my head of what exactly a Wolf Scarab would look like xD

I was looking up stuff about Nicholas Flammel and there was something about his wife's name being Perenelle, and I thought it sounded cool.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Jacklu didn't pick name. Name picked Jacklu. It was spawned from an IM session gone awry and the subsequent adoption of it as mah real name amongst my RL friends. When I signed up for an account, it only seemed logical. In fact, Jacklu is what I go by IRL for the most part.
Still not really here. Still just an illusion.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
All my forum names are from Russian books. I'm signed up to a lot of stuff, so it's mainly so I can remember & associate everything I need to while keeping each identity as distinct. I don't like the idea of going by the same name everywhere, but I don't mind having different names from the same source.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
The Ibis-Headed Egyptian God of the moon, wisdom, magic, the measurement and regulation of events and of time, inventor of writing, record-keeper, and arbitrator between the gods is Thoth. (In short: Thoth is the moon god of science. Quite possibly the first recorded god of science.) I wanted more syllables, and a letter that isn't used very often.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
My actual name is Tracy; a teacher of mine started calling me Trai about six years back. I liked it and gradually picked it up (I went through a phase where I spelled my name "Traci" for a while), and now pretty much all my friends (and their parents) call me Trai rather than Tracy.
When I was younger, I used to use it around the interwebs for androgyny purposes. Now, though, it's just become the way I identify myself, and I haven't seen anyone else use it as a nickname, so it's just who I am
Oh, and since I've had people ask before, it's pronounced like the word tray. Some people assume it's pronounced try because of the "ai", but nope!Last edited by Trai; 2009-10-14 at 08:14 PM.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
I'd been using my name as a pseudonym on the Internet for a year or so already when I signed up. It's a deliciously ironic anagram of "Hello Kitty".
Also, it's unique. I've only encountered two sites where someone was using it already, and those sites were YouTube and Myspace.Never eat French fish. They're poisson.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
With a name like Silverraptor? Um, yeah I want to hear it!
As for mine? Simple. I really like dragons. I really loathe zombies. Therefore, zombie dragons (or as I know them, death dragons) combine both, which end up complementing each other perfectly! For me, anyway.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Mine based on a fantasy I had back when I joined the forums when I was like 12... originally from when I was eight, I wanted to grow up and have my own country and I was going to call it Celtois... Frankly I really hate the name now, but I've had it for so long I just couldn't change it.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Alright then.
It all started back in elementary school for me. I would always hear from the other kids that gold was better then silver. I always questioned why that was because silver is almost as valuable as gold but the other kids just blew me off. I then decided I liked silver better then gold because it was being treated unfairly. (I was only 7 at the time.)
Later, when I was 12, I volunteered with my dad to clear some burned rubble from a fire in the mountains. We were there with a church group and it took all day. We got to camp inside a nice cabin for the night. Since I was the youngest of volunteers, (Most of the others were 16 and up and wanted to take about sex and stuff) I wandered around the cabin.
I found a television with a VCR and looked throught the tapes. One of the tapes was Jurrasic Park, and I put it in. Suffice to say, I was scarred silly, but the raptor's freaked me out the most because of how intellegent they were. For a couple years, I've been freaked out by them because of that trait, but over time I began to like them.
Then my family finally got me to make an e-mail when I was 15. They wanted me to pick a username and so I thought, "What do I like the most?" Suffice to say, silver and raptor came to mind. So ever since then, all my usernames have been Silver Raptor.
Yup, my life right there.Last edited by Silverraptor; 2009-10-14 at 08:37 PM.

I've usually used airplanes for screen-names. In this case it is improperly punctuated. It refers to the Fiat RS.14 reconnaissance seaplane.
