Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
Yup. This is what happened.
Anyway, there is again a 20% chance of it not working. Chance of WoE not working due to the Fighter not being there - (1d100)[62]
Godna:

Very informative.
Unfortunately, I have a lecture for the next hour. Gives you plenty of time to strategerize something up, and for me to get some all important coffee.
Edit: I was, but then I moved. I'm more like 160 feet away now.Last edited by Yukitsu; 2009-10-28 at 01:39 PM.

ALLRIGHT YES!
I Charge him!
i have a +30 to my flight speed because of haste
I power attack for full and put the penalty into my AC and as a swift mental action expend all the charges in my belt of battle to get another full round action which i full attack with after i hit with my charge
I'm large so i have a 10 foot reach im using a spiked chain so that reach is doubled

Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
You charge at A1 + 120' up.
The moment you get within 40' of him, the Wizard disappears, and reappears 400' above you. Yup, contingency.
You are at A1, and you have nothing to attack. You have not spent your charges from the Belt of Battle.

Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
Mine is average, which is why I only went up 120 instead of 240. Though I don't really have to tell you that.
The solar will move up beneath you, and use greater dispel magic targeted on you. (A1, 100 feet up.)

Many rolls of dispel. Not sure how many buffs you have running. Remember, items like scrolls, potions and boots of flight have minimum caster level, so they all will have different caster levels.

The solar doesn't, but I'll have to see if blink goes down before I know if I do or not.
And now we get that wonderfully painful series of trying to figure out what gets dispelled. The #1 reason this spell is under used.Last edited by Yukitsu; 2009-10-28 at 03:19 PM.

Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
Good lord.
Godna, you wouldn't happen to have your items bookmarked, would you?
And I'll roll his miss chance, 50 or above hits. [roll=Miss chance]1d100[/roll]
(Looks like the WoEs didn't have any miss chance, by the way, only individually targeted spells are affected. And the chance is 50%. )
How is the Solar flying? Doesn't him being in humanoid form negate his natural movement?Last edited by Ernir; 2009-10-28 at 03:22 PM.

Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
I undid the humanoid change rather a while before the match started, and can't remember if that was part of my PM to you. I'll assume it is in humanoid form then. It reaches him from the ground though, so I'll just go with that. Next round it will change shape and move up.
It's the targeted dispel type. It hits any buff he's got on him, and I don't know how many spells were cast on him by items, are persistant effects of items or what.Me: I'd get the paladin to help, but we might end up with a kid that believes in fairy tales.

Ah. In that case, he is also occupying rather more space.
Now, if you will hold on for a few weeks, I have the Solar's dispel checks to figure out.

Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
Correctus. Hopefully that will trim down the list somewhat. However, all your wands, scrolls, potions, rings etc that cast spells do so at minimal caster level.

Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
I had lost it at that junction. Are you still blinking and invisible? If you are, I have to make a spot check or errata my personal actions (I should really learn to resolve one set of actions, then the other.)

Re: Wizard 13 vs. Fighter 20, fight one.
Allright. You charged while invisible, so I need a 20 to spot you, unless I drop down lower than I really want to. Does he get the -20 to his hide from charge, on top of the invisibility reduction to 20?
