Mag quietly slinks out of his quarters and towards the bulletin board, intent on writing something and then leaving ASAP. Feel free to ruin his plans, though.

At the bulletin board is... a monkey, with a typerwriter!

I have no idea how that might ruin Magtok's plans.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok continues on as if it wasn't there, and gets about halfway through what he was writing, before he stops to stare at the ape. There's an ape, at a typewriter, in GLoG.

...What?!

So...

Erm...so would you happen to be the nine hundred ninety nine million, nine hundred ninety nine thousand, nine hundred ninety nineth monkey?

The monkey nods. "Ook ook!"

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok returns back to his note, shaking his head.

Congratulations Mag, you're hallucinating monkeys now. As soon as this Cal thing is over and we get the MagSat up, I'm making you take a vacation.

[Neon Knight]

The monkey rapidly types something out and hands it to Magtok.

Huh. It's what he just said. Looks like the monkey can take diction down very, very fast.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok takes the note, reads it over, and facepalms.

No Mag, stop it. Stop paying attention to your hallucination, don't give it any fuel to assault your fragile psyche with. The monkey isn't real, the note, no matter how it feels between your fingers, is not real, and nobody other than you can see this screwy encounter.

He moves to pass the note back, and then pauses.

Or maybe I'm not that crazy yet. Monkey, if you're not a figment of my decaying mind, would you be so kind as to write the following?

Good people of the Good League of Good (Neutral, Evil, and the sexually uninhibited people of the Good League of Good need not read on), I, Magtok, need help. At last count, my list of enemies and potential enemies was the ISF, God of Machines, Cal, The League itself, Brendan, Ashna, Bushranger, Samantha Goswell, DC, Pierrot, Avatar, Thomas Mennifellow, Taverna rednecks, and Reinholdt. This, as I'm sure you can tell, is no way to go on living. I can't do this, not alone, not even with an army of robots by my side. I don't want to do this anymore, either.

Understand, I'm not asking for help with redemption. I...I've tried it before, by myself, and it didn't work out. In fact, I just went even darker and more vicious for an awful length of time, just to make up for that "loss". To be honest, I'm not sure what I specifically need help with, or how to fix this wretched mess of a person we call Magtok. Maybe I just need to be put down like Old Yeller. Maybe I need to be locked up somewhere where I can only hurt myself. Or possibly, I could just need a slap in the face and a harsh scolding to bring me back to reality. As I've said, I'm not entirely mentally well, I dunno.

Well...that's it, I suppose. This is my last plea for escape from this wretched prison of demons, Lovecraftian abominations, and heartless mad science. My last hope for refuge from myself. I doubt it'll get any attention, that I'm flailing about in vain...but it can't hurt to try, right?

Someone tell Butler to get better soon for me. I'd have done it myself, but I don't deserve to be in the presence of such a cheery face and blissful ignorance.

The monkey dutifully types out the message in full, precisely, and perfectly.

[McBish]

Astrid is going around the base cleaning, one arm in a sling still. Someone might run into her.

Someone like... a little catgirl?

A dashing Misaki accidentally bumps into Astrid. "Oh, sorry!"

[McBish]

Astrid turns around and smiles at the little catgirl. No problem, you seem to be in quite a rush. Do you need any help with anything? She asks.

For reference Astrid has long curly red hair, green eyes, stands about 5'2" and is currently wearing a dress that has a hint of a maid outfit in it.

[Neon Knight]

For reference Misaki is an 11 year old girl just under 4 feet tall, with short black hair of a silky texture, a cat tail and cat ears of the same color, brown eyes, and is wearing a small black dress with a neat white blouse. She takes the hem of her dress in hand and neatly curtsies to Astrid. "No, I'm fine, thank you."

[McBish]

Astrid curtsies back to the little girl. OK then, have a nice day.

Then she thinks of something and pauses, Do you know Butler? She says thinking of the ears and tails they have in common.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok thanks the ape with a banana, and then, if allowed to take the note, proceeds to post it up on the board.

Kay, thanks. But if all this turns out to just be my imagination, and no note gets posted, I'm going to wipe you away from my mind with drug abuse and hypnosis.

[Neon Knight]

"Sure do! Butler is my best friend!" Misaki smiles happily up at Astrid.

The monkey happily eats the banana. Yay! Banana! The note is posted.

[McBish]

I see, I had noticed your ears and tail. He is very nice, he got me my job here. Astrid smiles, thinking he is a very good friend to have.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok promptly skedaddles right back out of the League.

[Neon Knight]

"He is nice! He helped me get my ears and tail!" Misaki giggles and goes to brush her head against Astrid's hand like a cat looking for a scratch.

[McBish]

That action seems to take Astrid by surprise. She pauses for a second or two but starts to scratch between Misaki's ears. Well they look very nice on you.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki purrs happily. "Thank you. You're nice too!" Misaki bumps her head against Astrid's hand one more time before skipping off. "I have to go take care of Butler now. Thank you!"

((NK deadtime, unfortunately.))

[McBish]

Astrid waves goodbye to the little girl smiling at her enthusiasm before she goes about her business.

Krysta reads the note. Who's Magtok?

Well, anyway, Helen wakes up.
She takes a shower and gets dressed, then, after that, she walks out of her room towards the Great Hall, humming softly.

Helen might see a large jukebox in the Great Hall. On the top of the arch, there is a logo. A red, squarish face.

Yeah, she sees that.

Well...cool. she says.

Then she tries to turn it on/change the music.

It is turned on, and it plays music. Yay music.

Helen might remember seeing the logo before. Maybe. Once before. On a large robot.

Yay!

Oh! Yeah! Yeah! It finally hits her!
This is the robot she met earlier who changed into this!

Her eyes grow wide, but she just keeps on listenting to the music, humming along with it.
