Butler tilts his head, realizing something. "Actually I have no idea what it is you tried to do ma'am. Just that it hurt ma'am."

He seems really bad at holding a grudge.

"Well, it's called Laying On Hands. It's something I can do as a paladin that heals people. Except you seemed to have a bad reaction to it. However that means that it's likely an Inflict Wounds spell would actually heal you, instead."

"Wound-inflicting magic," Quinn hastily adds, lest Butler go off and start trying to hurt himself to heal.

I think they're well on the way to melting down entirely. And Butler gives Quinn the queerest look too.

"Umm... alright ma'am. I'll just take your word for it ma'am." Because he sure isn't going to understand it anytime soon.

I was injured, and a friend brought me here for healing. I had just ended my last job and needed a place to stay, so I found work here through Butler.

Do you mind if I ask how you were injured?

Quinn nods. "Well, then, are you feeling completely OK now?"

[Reinholdt]

"For the most part ma'am." Butler moves his arms and legs a bit to make sure. It'll probably be some time before that arm is as strong as it once was. And who knows what sort of brain damage was inflicted with all those head blows he took? Not that it'd ever be noticeable...

"Is Misaki still around ma'am?"

[McBish]

Well I was traveling with my old boss when we were attacked. I was the only one to survive, and just barely at that. She frowns at the memory.

"She is, but she's out right now looking for stuff planning a wedding." Quinn smiles. "I think Val and Daisuke are in for a surprise when she gets back."

I am sorry. I have felt similar losses before.

It was no great loss, just not a very pleasant experience. Though I am sorry to hear that you have suffered losses like that.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. She frowns any war that lasts for centuries is definitely not a good thing.

I was a personal servant for my old master. I worked for him. Yep that pretty much sums up her life before coming here, except for her early years in training.
