Default question about base attack progression.

where does it say what a class's base attack progression is? Or what their BAB is or whatever. I can't seem to find it in TOB or PHB

It's the very first thing after the level on the chart?

Yeah, when you look at the table of Class Abilities and Levels and such, it's the column that has either +1 or +0 at 1st level and winds up looking like +20/+15/+10/+5 or +15/+10/+5 or +10/+5 at 20th level.

Further, if you want to multiclass the rule is that you just take the BAB off the chart for each class. So a Rogue1/Monk1/Bard1/Cleric1 has a BAB of +0. There is a variant rule that changes this called Fractional BAB.

And further further, this Fractional base attack system, which I endorse as a great way to make the game more multiclass-friendly, is located in Unearthed Arcana.

So with core only you could get to 7th level without gaining any BAB (bard1/cleric1/druid1/monk1/rogue1/sorcerer1/wizard1)

So your seventh level and you've already got seven classes. What Base Attack Bonus are you sporting now?

Fractional BAB is a good thing to add even if people only use one base class and a PRC or whatever, and they aren't crunching the numbers for max BAB.

Base attack bonus is kind of overrated anyway.
