As for Other M, it's mixed reviews. One half of the fandom loves it because the gameplay is apparently really fun, the other half loathes it because it turns Samus into a hysterical dementia patient. I haven't played it, but from what i've seen both sides have merit.

Also, as of now, Samus Aran is one of the two Lost Primarchs.

That shivering touch sure was effective.

Shivering Touch is an actual spell from Frostburn. Does 3d6 dexterity damage on touch, is a third level spell, and is universally recognized as The Dragonslayer spell, because all dragons have 10 dexterity.

Unfortunately due to being a Cold spell, it's useless against White and Silver dragons, and its effectiveness vs extremely high level dragons is limited due to spell resistance.

So...NATURALLY, my comic making file became irreparably corrupt, so I had to lose EVERYTHING in the incomplete Comic 457. While SOME things are recoverable, for example Commissar Rand's hat, the Eternus Cruiser, and most of Jeroshaw's templates, as well as pretty much every template older than Comic 422, it's still a big loss.

Lost things included a handful of updated weapons templates, most notably the updated Eternus laser rifle, the updated Eternus armor templates, updated Princess Marnia templates (modified to accomodate updated eternus armor), updated Tau Fire Warrior templates, updated Jeroshaw templates (which WOULD debut in 457 if Inkscape decided not to be corrupt ), Updated Frost Denizen template (if anyone remembers what that is I owe you a cameo,) Commissar Rand robe and disguise templates, Blue Arcane Incarnation template, Black and Red Technomancer AI template, Green Arcane Incarnation, the Magebane Carrier, and, the one that absolutely pisses me off the most, the Dictator class Imperial Cruiser.

On the bright side, I am fairly confident I know the cause of the file corruption, and I know how to prevent it in the future.

So for your comicing pleasure, I cobbled up together a comic for you in a span of under two hours while I recover and redraw templates. The next comic will be Comic 422. AKA the one that currently has only a single panel posted in the archives. And yes, that panel (although updated to be compatible with Jeroshaw's updated template.) The comic after that will be 457, which I am confident I can complete with limited template information (Commissar Rand shouldn't be too hard to redraw, and the White and Gold whatshisface AI is easily recovered, although I kept his Wounded template around for a reason ) And I have The Apprentice's template readily available. Xeno is a constant.

Anyways, Metroid Consternation 13 is up. Despite the speed at which this was made, I like the way it came out.

That aside, I did enjoy the Rantarted comic, but only if it's once in a while. This web-comic does not need the Dada touch.

Also, is it just me, or do Xeno and Rand get along much better than mortal foes have any right doing?

edit: on catching up to the giant, I would say it's possible, but still some way off. he still has several hundred pages of advantage.

Although I MIGHT catch up, technically i've only closed the gap by like over a hundred comics since Comic 1. Even if Rich stopped making comics, it'll take me over a year and a half to catch up. Still, I EASILY have the most comics out of any comic on this forum, and the longest-running one still on-site (I don't know if any of the others that went off-site are still being updated, but I can still talk about myself)

Although catching up would be nice, I do not expect to ever do it. I will still continue to make comics until the story ends, something devastating happens to me, or some combination of both. If the former, then Metroid: Consternation is waiting in the woodworks

As for Dynamic Entry, we all know Xeno doesn't suck in close quarters.

I hate having characters in a comic standing around doing nothing. Often i'll recycle poses between panels and fix it later. Of course, usually "later" never comes.

A version of 459 with a better Marnia pose is in the archives fortunately.

Also, Comic 460 is up. This was originally supposed to have 9 panels, but I couldn't get the last 3 to work right, so they were omitted and put into what will be Comic 461.
