Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
Dracula is slightly scary if you finish reading it around 3am, then emerge into the pitch black of the rest of the house with its weird night-time noises and your teenage brain all tired and susceptible.
I need to get a top hat.
There was a bit of a clue to Quincunx living in Ireland by the fact that both the links she posted a few pages back regarding the flooding clearly referred to Ireland.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
So today I went to a bookstore to do some christmas shopping. I spent an hour or two browsing for good gifts and ended up buying a nice stack of books.
After I got home I realized that I only got two books for other people and the rest I bought for myself. oops
Also I went through at least 10 stores and not a single one of them had trivia pursuit. Some of them had special edition versions, but those aren't nearly as fun.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
Hmmm, I haven't known many people who's hair has lightened with age. Mine has darkened. I started out with blond hair so light it was almost blond. Now it's just regular ol' brown. My dad had an even bigger shift. His hair was also very blond, but by the time he was 10 it was completely black.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
My hair started out brown and so dark that I can remember people thinking it was black (although it didn't have the blueish colour that actual black hair has). Then, I grew it really long, and it lightened a bit, probably because of the sun bleaching it or something like that. Eventually I cut it, and it's darker than it was long, but lighter than it was before.
All this speaking of hair reminds me that I am overdue for a haircut, but I am slightly too lazy to actually call the barber and make an appointment. Perhaps in a few weeks when my hair gets wild and unseemly.Step 1: Get workers to make goods for you.
Step 2: Sell the goods for a higher amount than what you pay the workers.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit!

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
My hair colour is a strange amalgamation of colours. For the most part it's my natural colour, which is a light brown/mousey blonde (when I was young it was blindingly bright blonde) mixed with failed bye jobs from the past. There's a bit of red in whihc has now mostly washed out to a pale pink and some remenants of purple. And thankfully it's completely grown out now, but for a while I'd dyed it black, a huge mistake.
And Perenelle. You do have a lovely hair colour, that's pretty much what I tried to get with dye. It... didn't work.I now have a blog. Have a look if you wish. It contains those naughty profanities that you won't find here. If you like what you read send me a PM, or if you don't like it. I'd like to know how many people here read it.
Avatar done by me. If you want one then you clearly have no taste. I'll do one happily. You just have no taste.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
thanks.
I'll probably alternate between the red and my natural color. since I like both, I just wanted a change I guess.
Plus my hair didnt look all curly and nice everyday when I had it cut like that.. that picture happened to be at some special occasion that I dont really remember.
