Abigail walks into Val's room. How was your trip with Dad?

Eklipso wriggles free of the deadtime ooze, and continues to run into the Rose Garden. At least there's no beasts in the garden.

[Great Room]

Helen is in the Great Room, and she's re-reading a letter from somebody. She's sitting down on the Love Sac. She's also a 12-year old girl with brown pigtails and freckles.

[McBish]

Val turns to Abigail and smiles. Hey it was great. I had a really good time. Next time we go you'll have to come with us. She says smiling.

NK apologizes to Rebo, but it is best for what NK has in mind if Misaki doesn't start freaking out. Scary hydra monster/snake swarm Zee would do that and I don't want to deal with that right now. So, like yesterday at the party, I'd prefer if the two did not interact despite occupying the same space.

"Hi, Daisuke."

Misaki #2 heads to march out the door, a pack on her back.

You seem a bit sad. You all right?

He looks at her in concern.

Yeah, I will. But Misaki came back!

Abigail grins.

Misaki might also be not-noticing Ashna making pancakes there.
She's only on fire though, not a hydra.

Yes.

The great room is still filled with a whole bunch of snakes.

Enough smallish vipers to make up the volume of the hydra that was in here recently.

And then...

Something rather peculiar takes places.

They begin climbing on top of one another. Coiling around each other. Melding into...

Oh.

It's Zee the hydra girl! A fairly recent development due to a weird curse that was set off in Trog's. As she had said before, she looks human. Or at least more human than she did as a giant three-headed serpent. See Rebo's spoiler for an image.

She puts her hands on her hips, looking rather pleased with herself. "There! All better!"

...the weird thing is that all those snakes combined should be a lot bigger than the woman that resulted from their fusion is. But since when does form-shifting magic make sense?

The hydra-girl waves cheerfully at the young lass reading her letter. "Hiya!"

Tatsu walks into the rose garden and smiles when he sees who is in the garden.

[McBish]

That's great to hear. So you have been good? She sits down on her bed and pats the spot next to her for Abigail to join her.

Astrid walks out of the kitchen and blinks at the swarm of snakes around. She hopes they are cleaner then the monkeys, though these seem intelligent. She seems unsure of what to do now.

Abigail sits on the bed. Yeah, I have. Had some fun...

She doesn't mention Misaki's plans.

Helen looks up from the letter, at the Zee with weird-colored skin, and says Oh, hello. She didn't notice all the snakes, somehow. Was probably too absorbed in the letter.

[Rose Garden]

Eklipso turns and looks, seeing Tatsu, and smiles, glad that he's not a humongous monster.

Tatsu asks her.

Oh. I'm...okay. she responds. A little scared, though.

Good, glad to hear you were OK while we were gone. She smiles and gives the young girl a hug. Blissfully unaware of any plans.

Being absorbed in a letter, especially a letter from someone a person cares about, isn't terribly surprising.

Zee plops down on the couch next to the girl, still grinning her usual friendly grin. "Name's Zee! I came by the other day for Butler's party. Figured I would stick around for a little while and meet some of the new people around here."

She crosses her legs at the knees.

Then crosses her tail over her legs.

"This place always seems to be getting new members. Probably the busiest apartment complex/social club around!"

Abigail hugs back. How was your trip wih Dad?

[McBish]

It was good. I got to meet all his old friends back at his home. And it was good to go somewhere that we could just relax and take it easy.

Except, the thing is, the letter's from somebody she hates. Which does make it a little surprising.

I'm Helen, she says, watching the tail.

And, yes, I think it's really busy too. It usually looks busy.

So, Dad's fine as well?

Okay, she says. Eklipso closes her eyes, then takes a slow, deep breath, to chill.

Val shrugs. I don't know. I am actually a bit tired so I might take a nap for awhile.
