Alright. It's just you specifically mentioned structures 'above ground' being destroyed so... >.>

The airship dips down, avoiding the beams aimed at the envelope, turns around and pulls it's nose up, firing the forward flamethrowers at the swarm of Karishlings, while KR switches the three disruptors along the bottom to precision mode. They charge up for a second, and the turrets fire three bright green beams at one of the Assailants, focusing fire on it's head. Said Assailant may feel like it's being boiled alive. This is before the relevant cells pop. Or not.

The disruptor at the top of the envelope remains in rapid fire mode, in case there are any airborne threats from above.

Well, yes, I referenced structures above ground being destroyed, because bellow ground things have remained mostly intact.

The giant assailant is boiled and part of the brood swarm is burned away, the second assailant screeches loudly before releasing yet another energy blast at the ship.

From the depths of the hive, however, from a massive tunnel that is now revealed by the bombing, comes a potent eruption of flame, prominent from the holocausts beneath, perhaps?

The Assailant's energy blast impacts the airship's shield. The airship rises, to get away from the fiery burst of doom, as te disruptors fire more beams at the second assailant. It continues flamethrowering the swarm. (Yes, that is a word now.)

The searing pilar subsides once the airship is out of reach.

The swarmlings start to swell and enlarge, achieving the size of common assailants, and then proceed to strike against the airship and its shield.

The larger assailant flies off into the nearby clouds, vanishing inside the white.

"Alright... I think it's time to say we've been outmatched. Our bombs don't seem to be affecting the hive, and we've got a massive swarm closing in."

The three turrets along the bottom revert to rapid fire mode, and fire at the swarm, along with the flamethrowers, and the one on the top keeps a lookout for the massive Assailant, as the Airship rises, engines warming up for forward thrust.

Well, the bombs had effect on the above-ground structures, which were mostly destroyed, but I saw no mention of further bombing.

Many assailants die in the fire, but those that remain are unrelenting in their assault, the larger one remains hidden in the clouds, but its characteristic energy blast erupts from one, targeting the airship, the creature remains hidden in the whiteout.

Shields are down to 15%. It seems the masses of Karishlings are causing the most damage. Still firing.

They ran out of bunker busters, and the normal bombs are pretty much useful for surface bombardment only. They don't particularly have the time to sit there and drop bomb after bomb until they break through.

The top disruptor fires a beam at the spot the energy beam came from.

The swarm is now down to one fourth of it's original size.

The part of the cloud where the blast was fired from vanishes, but another blast comes from another portion of the large bank of cloud, the creature is obviously shooting on the fly.

DC belatedly gives approval for that. "Right. Let's get out of here, we've managed to inconvenience them at least."

"Alright, let's go."
She checks the cliche panel of lights overhead, and flips a switch, cutting out the secondary propellers and activating the main engines on each wing, before pushing the throttle as far as it went, sending the zeppelin leaping forward at a fair rate.

Even as the airship makes its escape, the attack is unrelenting. The larger assailant continues firing until they are out of reach, but unless dealt with, the smaller ones will remain on the offensive until... Dealt with.

Indeed. They even make it through the shields at one point! The wounded airship limps back home.

HahHah! Home at last. The Slayer stares around at the bombed out landscape wondering why his inner voices, no, why anybody would think this a good place to start his hunt. It reminded him of nothing. There were no trees, no buildings, nothing to even hint at civilization. But no-one bombs empty land. He curses his memories for bringing him here, and the place for letting his memories down. The Slayer stares around at the bombed out landscape, and begins a search. Tracks, items, anything.

Pine tree.
Despite war-fighting, there's a small pine tree growing. It's a tiny, little thing. But it may qualify.

The pine tree is swallowed by a hole, as a great worm erupts from the land, devouring the very ground.

The worm crawls out of the tunnel, from which spring forth many, many of the dreadful vermin, the karish horde, laborer and legionnaire alike. And thin, smaller worms of a kind that ACRO has not seen yet.

The reconstruction, it begins!

Well, definitely nothing of interest here. The Slayer leaves GLoG, and goes off towards civilization!

Blasting from the sky, a large bright, red beam slams into the hive here, acompanied by a giant fireball, and huge amounts of superheated air. As the beam hits, the lava making up the beam, magically and sciencally enhances to being as hot as the surface of a star, reduces the outer walls of the hive to plasma. The blast continues, flooding the hive with utraheated, superpowered lava. As so it continues, until the place that was once GLoG, and the four square miles around it, has been reduced to a large pool of lava.

(Yes, I asked Draken if I could do this, and he said yes.)
