Re: Against the Dragon: An ECL 20 Mini-Adventure
Theda
Theda gestures for Terry to stop his explorations of the wall.
"Fire-heads, Terry," she murmurs. Both she and Terry turn into 12-headed pyrohydras. They shift south slightly, and unleash twenty four heads of fire at the whirlwind.
SpoilerFree action: Both change into pyrohydras. Theda now occupies M3-O5. Theda will briefly be occupying part of the same space as Terry, but in the combat with the earth monolith we had a friendly elemental occupying the same space as the earth monolith, so I'm hoping for the same consideration here. Theda 5' steps south, east and down to +15 M4-O6 and Terry steps south, east and down to +15 P4-R6
Alternately, if breathing from all the heads is a standard rather than a full-round action, I'm fine to have Theda move to +15, N5-P7 and Terry to +15 N8-P10 in order to alleviate this.
Fire damage from pyrohydra attacks, reflex DC 22 for half.

Fine. Then Torvin stays as a greater shadow and instead tries to strength drain the elemental.

Seto resorts to the direct approach and casts orb of fire at the elemental, then flys 20 ft South to O11.

Re: Against the Dragon: An ECL 20 Mini-Adventure
Upon updating map:
Torvin: A move to D8 will not put you within reach to attack the monolith. The closest square that can be done from is K10. Will adjust your movement to there to allow the intended touch attack, unless you state that you'd like to select your location. The monolith's current location is: L11-O14.
Theda/Terry: Altitude +15 would mean you'd have to be squeezing, due to the extension of the wall of stone downward 5 feet (15x15 is also 15 feet tall). Would that be intended, or do you intend to be down 5 feet further, at 10 feet altitude?
Seto: The monolith occupies O-11. Please select another fly destination, unless it's your intent to fly into the monolith's whirlwind.Last edited by PhoenixRivers; 2010-03-25 at 12:20 PM.

Re: Against the Dragon: An ECL 20 Mini-Adventure
In that case, it would seem ungentlemanly for Terry to adjust his altitude downwards to sit on Seto. Both Terry and Theda will squeeze, and remain as far up as possible.

Re: Against the Dragon: An ECL 20 Mini-Adventure
Assuming Torvin is OK with the update.
Monolith actions: Moves Diagonally NW to G6-J9, then East to N6-Q9, then North to N3-Q6, then west to L3-O6 (squeezing), then back east to N6-Q9, then SE to P6-S9, then south to P10-S13, then due east to Y10-Z13(extending 2 squares past Z10-13).
Characters that will need to make 2 reflex saves:
Torvin (save vs pick up only, no damage sustained)
Avoral 2,3, and 4
Terry and Theda (Twice each, 4 saves each.)
Seto
DC for reflex saves are 38. If reflex save is failed, damage will be sustained.
Torvin miss chance on damage: (1d100)[33] 1-50 results in being unaffected by damage from a corporeal source (thus, only 1 save will be needed, if this misses)Last edited by PhoenixRivers; 2010-03-28 at 06:04 PM.

Freedom of movement does not prevent you from being picked up and thrown around, though it will mean that you can fly out of it next turn without making the save.

Re: Against the Dragon: An ECL 20 Mini-Adventure
Based on an LOS plot, yes. You can see it in Y10-Y12. The southern corner of the room exit prevents you from seeing to Y13.
