Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Eh, he was mostly doing it for the giggles anyway. The centipedes are easily enough to kill.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Fan comes back shortly with a torch, or flashlight... Fan keeps forgetting what Era GLoG is in exactly, as it's medieval in some places, and Ultra Sci Tech in others these days.
None the less. A torch is handed to Khainsa if he'll take it.
As he does this, a random thought comes into his head.
"Say. Whatever happened to Jazirian?"

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
"I honestly don't think we'll need those. NO has these tunnels everywhere, they'll just make another, stealthier one if we try to stop them from making this one. Plus, they're not much of a threat, anyway."
I'll just put a bunch of hexes on the entrance in case they ever turn hostile.
That last bit, is of course, telepathic, to stop he sound carrying down the tunnel.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
"Ah well. It seemed like a fun idea."
He shrugged, wrapping a damp cloth around the torches that go out with a *ffffssssh*, not seeming to mind the comparably light burns he gets from the steam.
"And he has a lair now? Wow. I have been out for awhile."

"Well, uh... it's more of a hole, just don't tell him I said that." >.>
He invisibly starts to cast some invisible hexes into the tunnel, which he'll be able to activate. I'll put up the descriptions later, when it isn't nearly midnight.Last edited by Ashen Lilies; 2009-12-23 at 11:46 AM.

After a while, the rumbling stops, the tunnel having completely collapsed. Anyone inside except for those who set up the charge would have been severely inconvenienced.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: Grow the Roses
Helen (plot clone), still in her newer guise (that...only Cleo and Zophiel and another demon have seen her as) walks up to the Main Lodge.
If anyone's there, she'll walk in.
If anyone's not there, then...I don't know.I'm gone for a couple of years!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Avatar isn't in the lodge.
But he is busy looking like a pretty normal human and peaking out from behind a tree not too far away. Why is he behind a tree? Probably because of the snowball fight presently underway with a midget.Warning! Random Encounter™ detected!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Helen, who currently has long, silky black hair and Central American-colored skin, looks over at Avatar. "What are you hiding from?" she asks, going around the tree to see him better.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
"From the magic halfling that's been sending abominable snow snakes after me," Avatar replies, not so much as glancing at the disguised succubus. Too busy keeping an eye out for the halfling in question, you see. "I live just up the road a bit and decided to meet my new neighbors. Instead I got a snowball in the face."

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Oh, really? Helen looks for the road he's supposed to be up from, before glancing around for the magic halfling with abominable snow snakes.
Then, she says, "New neighbors - you mean the GLoG members? I guess that makes us neighbors, then."I'm gone for a couple of years!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
"So... I take it you're a member here then?" Avatar inquires, a single brow quirking slightly. "For my part I've been trying to meet as many people here as I can. I'm Avatar! I think I met you briefly on the way out of the Playground."
A somewhat wry grin at this point. "Smelled you, at least. You were wearing a different form at the time."

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Oh. Yeah, I guess he can.
Oh, really? She thinks, then shape-shifts back to demon. Yeah. Some people are all right with me, others completely freak out. So, I hope it's understandable that I don't use this too often, says Helen.I'm gone for a couple of years!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
A new figure approaches GLoG, being of the tall and broad-shouldered variety. He is at least 8 feet tall, and his stone-like muscles ripple. He has long, flowing hair and piercing red eyes. His mouth is covered by a red mouth-plate, and his hands by bandages. His skin is black, like...Space-black and stone-like. He is rather handsome, looking like a sculpture. In his hand he carries a large sword.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
"Some people do, yeah. But you can usually tell who's new to the Nexus since they freak out whenever a dragon or a giant floating eyeball happens past. Or a succubus for that matter!" Avatar laughs. "I figure, so long as you don't try to devour my life-force via intament contact I'm okay with you."
And then...
A new challenger approaches!
Avatar's eyebrows shoot up to a considerable height. "Woah! Look at that guy's hair!"Warning! Random Encounter™ detected!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
"Yeah, well, there's still a couple people here who've been here a long time, who still dislike demons," says Helen.
Then, she sees the HAIR!.
Wow! That's so amazing, I wonder how he keeps it up like that, the succubus says.I'm gone for a couple of years!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Not sure if anyone can help him with his most obvious problem. That being how ugly he looks despite believing himself to be handsome.
Seriously, he's got giant teeth and... is that a pug nose?
Or maybe he's wearing a mask.
Sure hope that's a mask.
Avatar just shrugs as HAIR MAN saunters past, ignoring them. Oh well. "So anywho, I don't think we've been properly introduce. I'm Avatar!"

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
No, not yet. I just barely got here, she says. I've been staying at other places. But now I'm finally here, and then I'm going to explore.
Have you been able to go hiking or swimming around here? she asks.I'm gone for a couple of years!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
Avatar flashes a rather sly grin, "Oh certainly. I wouldn't have picked this place out for a home unless I had gotten my bearings first. It really is an amazing place. Whatever GLoG members picked it out made a stellar choice."
He finally steps out from behind the tree, sure now that the hobbit is quite solidly dead timed. "It's a little bit cold for swimming right now, though. If you're the sort of person that can freeze to death at least."
Y'know, snow on the ground and all.
"But if you can't freeze to death? Yes. It's a great place to swim. The lake is pretty deep, though."Warning! Random Encounter™ detected!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
And Avatar and Helen don't count as 'anyone'?
Charity finishes up painting the sign and goes inside. After cleaning her brushes and putting the paint away, she climbs up to her nice warm bunk with a book. Jane Eyre, if anyone's curious. My avatar! Isn't it just utterly diabolical? Ashen Lilies made it!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 48: From the Ashes
A man, a rogue looking fellow in a sky blue robe, walks down the path to the campground. One sleeve hangs empty; the other is torn off, leaving that shoulder and arm bare. A sword is belted to his side. Muddy boots leave prints on the earth as he walks along.. His hair is long, knotted into dreadlocks, matted and filthy. His eyes are sunken, his lower face stubbled, and his thin pale lips upturned in a sneer. The bare arm has a liquor bottle, which he swings lightly as he proceeds.
