Happy looks at her hands, seeing nothing unusual. To her, they just look like her normal hands. "What? I'm not dead. I feel fine."

"Happy, I assumed this was normal, what with all the other ghosts around. You are most certainly a ghost."
He doesn't seem as perturbed by this fact. He's had several friends who were ghosts...

"You two been drinking lake water or something? I'm not a ghost. I feel perfectly normal."

[Ashen Lilies]

Khiansa waves his hand, and a large forcefield springs up in front of Happy, flaring red, before disappearing, leaving only a thin line of fire on the floor.
"You my good sir. Could you walk through this wall? It's a spirit ward, designed to repel ghosts."
And indeed, if Damien does so, he is able to pass through easily. He will then ask Happy to try. If she tries, she will find it impossible, the wall suddenly flaring into solidity to block her advance.

Unless he's an elemental of undeath, or otherwise connected with the Netherworld, no.

Since HT has ooc knowledge that Damien is not associated with undeath, she watches him walk through without difficulty.

Then follows.

"What the hell?" She looks at Khiansa, meeting his eyes, and starting to realize that this isn't some elaborate practical joke. "You're serious, aren't you..."

[Ashen Lilies]

The look of terror on her face just does him in.
"Yeah."
He looks very... grim.

"But... but... how did I die? I was just in the infirmary because I was overtired. Chronic Fatigue isn't fatal or anything." She looks at her hands again. Now that she no longer believes she's alive, she can see them as they are -- ghostly and translucent. "Did I just get up out of my body?"

[Ashen Lilies]

"I don't have the power to discern how you died."
He would've, but he has to deadtime aroundabout now, so Kid Kris stole that ability to prevent having to roleplay it out.

"I hear no indications of a lifeless body nearby. Perhaps we should return to the infirmary." Damien's usual serene expression is giving way to a morbidly interested one. This is something he'd like to get to the bottom of.

Happy turns to walk back to the infirmary, and finds it difficult now that she doesn't have her own disbelief to make her body act as if it were alive.

Her feet sink into the floor, rather than pushing off of it, and she flounders, ankle deep in floorboard. "I can't move!"

"Yes you can. You're incorporeal. You're no longer commanding limbs that will carry you where you want, interacting with other corporeal objects. You have to choose how your incorporeal self interacts with its surroundings.

Here, I'll go back to my normal state."

With that, Damien disappears, and is replaced with D#m7+5, the ebbing, invisible entity he was when he arrived. Damien's hoping that in his incorporeal form, Happy will be able to 'sense' his presence, and details about him, since she's now also incorporeal. Hopefully, this would help her get her bearings.

((Or, you know, if you want to do this your way, just ignore this, and I'll retcon to make this consistent with how you do it. ))

Ironbeard floats by, chuckling. "Takes time to get your ghost legs, that's for sure."

Happy is able to sense D#m7+5, and just sort of stares at him in mute incomprehension. She had been a shapeshifter and a warrior. To suddenly be without a body, when she had always related to the world in the physical, is too much, on top of the strain of having discovered she was no longer alive. "I don't know what to do!"

"Do you want to move forward? To the infirmary? To figure out what's gone wrong?

Usually when we're teaching the young to move, we tell them to focus on where they want to be, rather than how to get there."
Of course, a young incorporeal elemental hasn't had years of unconscious, instinctive experience with and reliance on limbs...

"Yes. I want to" go to the infirmary. She loses the ability to speak aloud partway through, but her voice continues telepathically. (Funny that it was another randman character who taught her that) She tries to focus on the infirmary room she had been in.

((Oh. At this point, I should say that the italics are just for aesthetic reasons. Damien and D#m7+5 both make audible noise. I should stop using italics...

"Well, whether you've realised or not, you're getting the right idea with your speech. You're thinking about the ends, rather than the means."

To his Ohrwurms, he softly choruses, "Yes, to the infirmary you will now go, and with information shall you return."

((Chorusing is not understandable by other beings without certain powers, or without having listened to a sound elemental chorus a lot. It doesn't have to be learned like a language, though. It just takes experience listening to it.))

Lowan enters whatever lodge Happy's in and approaches.
Excuse me, do you have a moment mam?

[Infirmary]

Without knowing what Ohrwums are or what they can perceive, I can still suspect that they should have no difficulty entering the infirmary and discovering that there is a single reptilian patient, a ghost nurse, and no dead body.

Nurse Piper is busy changing the sheets on the bed Happy had been in.

[Main Lodge]

Happy tries, but she doesn't go anywhere. It seems she's stuck for now.

Lowan stares blanky a bit confused by the lack of a response of Happy and taps her on the shoulder.
Uhh...Happy, you awake.

Lowan's finger goes through Happy's shoulder. She's a ghost! And in fact, her form is fading.



Eep... sorry... I was concentrating... um... can you even hear me? Happy is speaking telepathically.

D#m7+5 waits patiently for his Ohrwurms to listen to the past.

Lowan is an adept at mentally speaking. He takes a meditative position and enters the mental realm finally hearing her.
Yes, you're audible at the moment, are you Miss Happy's spirit by any chance and if you are does this mean she is deceased?

Yes... I mean, I'm definitely Happy, and I think I'm dead. I guess I had a heart attack in my sleep maybe? I can't get to the infirmary to see if my body is there.

[Hyozo]

"No clue how you died?" Asks the teenage ghost somewhat mockingly as he floats into the main hall. "Well, that's a bit unfortunate. No new stories from you I'm guessing. You'll get used to being a ghost eventually. You may even learn to enjoy it."

I'm sorry to hear that Happy, I'm afraid I haven't been to the infirmary seeing that I've been constructing the future defense systems of GLOG. If it will help though I'll locate your body, and if you want and can attempt to ressurrect you.

Happy, what happened?

Happy's form fades away before she can answer, though those who can sense spirits will be aware that she's still here. She doesn't really know how to maintain an incorporeal body.

If Lowan searches the infirmary, he'll find no sign of her body. Any magical attempts to locate it will need to be decided by Lex-kat.

Helen is in the Main Lodge. I'm pretty sure that she can go to Ghost-land and talk to spirits (since, being a demon, her body and her spirit are pretty much the same thing, but I'm not so sure how it works so I won't use it until I decide how it works). Anyway, she's in there.
