Which revolution first?
Well, here I am, asking you, the phosisticated people of our phosisticated playground, a question:
Whose revolution will come first? The robot revolution, the cephalopod one, or the cetacean one, etc.
A webcomic by Sahaar and I, Shadow of Fire. Read it!
Giant in the Playground Worldbuilding Project.
Avatar by James Cameron. Or Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Oh wait, I mean Tom Siddell.

The Robot Revolution. And Gina Riversmith will be the first up against the wall.
Really obscure joke rofl.
All that I say applies only to myself. You author your own actions and choices. I cannot and will not be responsible for you, nor are you for me, regardless of situation or circumstance.

Re: Which revolution first?
The robots will begin their uprising, only to be interrupted and destroyed by the Bloop and its giant squid armada.
If asked the question "how can I do this within this system?" answering with "use a different system" is never a helpful or appreciated answer.

Re: Which revolution first?
*Leaps through the ceiling*
Did somebody say, Revolution.
The cephalopod revolution has already occurred, for the last 50 years we have been ruled by super intelligent cuttlefish.
The Robot revolution is a ways away, 100 years at least.
We will soon encounter the Lolvolution, when online personas rise against their creators.

Despite this being an interesting meme... I don't believe there will be a revolution of any of those forces within my lifetime.

Re: Which revolution first?
In response to these supposed revolutions I have decided to found a new political party. This party, which is currently unnamed (I've hired skilled experts to give me a catchy name and slogan!) will base all its policies on the basis that within this generation Earth will be ravaged by Alien cyborgs from another dimension.

No matter what revolution comes first, when the stars are right, there will be one HELL of cephaloid revolution.

The cyborg revolution. I'd put that in less than 50 years.

Re: Which revolution first?
There will be no robot revolution. Cyborgs will take baseline humans down long before they can be fully rid of their puny meats.

The human revolution.
It's been a bit, GitP. If you're reading this, you're either digging through old stuff, or I've posted for the first time in forever.
If you want to stay in touch, reach out to me on twitter (same username).
The best answer is always to ask your DM.

Re: Which revolution first?
What? Are these intentional?
As for whose revolution will be inevitable, I, for one, welcome our Insect Overlords.
Seriously, the Viral R/Evolution; with the degree and ferocity of mutagens constantly evolving, rapidly spawning, continually proliferating, there is no hope for humanity.
Our flesh will be as pustules, our noses will be as pus, our eyes will leak briny fluid and our organs will rot; we will burst from within like so much overripe fruit. And didst He, the Unblinking Eye, look unto this pathetic pale dot from on high, and from His Six Slavering Maws didst He Sing the Song that Ends the Earth. To see the world in a grain of sand
and Heaven in a wild flower
To hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour.

Re: Which revolution first?
This thread reminds me of a moment in Monday Begins on Saturday when the protagonist travels into an alternate universe as dictated by the collective fiction of the world, and ends up in a place where every part of the Earth is ruled by something obscure. They say life under the sentient fungi is actually not all that bad.

Re: Which revolution first?
I'm placing my bets on old, boring human revolution. Might triple as nuclear and techonological revolution as well. As in: wacky terrorist group gets nukes, fires them at big, badass country, big badass country fires nukes at everyone else and kicks civilization back to stone age.
After that, cockroacheswhatever eats cockroaches will take over."It's the fate of all things under the sky,
to grow old and wither and die."
