Hiii Edge. I remember you. How is wherever you are? Uni? I don't even know.
@Kneenibble: I'm... not sure what to make of your comment there. Not quite sure. I'm not one to look a gift bird in the hand, not when it's worth two in the lap of the gods. aka the rum was a present, I had no choice but to imbibe.

Re: Jibar's Random Banter #137: Return of the Cat-Muffin
Yep, I'm at uni, specifically Bangor University. Even more specifically, I'm doing English with Creative Writing.
It's been great so far, hall mates are all pleasant people.
Something I cannot seem to get over, though: we are looking for a house.
I am involved in house hunting.
Sure, it's only to rent, but it still feels weird...Homebrew

OH GAWD HOUSE HUNTING. I did not enjoy that. I'm putting my deposit down on wednesday, but it's already been secured with a couple of my friends' checks. Woo. Not sure I like writing checks though...
Halls are pretty ok. Mine is a little on the ...odd side. What with being (apparently) the last all male hall in England (maybe Britain?) also we wear gowns to dinner. Crazy crazy times.

Humph. They're not really academic, just strange. And they are over-clothing gowns, like a cape!

Re: Jibar's Random Banter #137: Return of the Cat-Muffin
@Bath: Well, at least you can probably understand the cleaning staff.
Seriously, we've been speaking to the woman who cleans the kitchen weekly pretty much since the first term started, and we still don't know her name. Her accent it ridiculously thick.
Also, shouldn't someone make a new thread?Last edited by Edge; 2010-02-12 at 12:43 PM.

I would create one, but I'm on a non-creating-random-banters streak. One hundred thirty seven and counting!
Also: We once discussed the longest word you can type with just your left hand. We found it, actually. But I've forgotten it... Anyone remember?

Re: Jibar's Random Banter #137: Return of the Cat-Muffin
Edge! Dude! I remember you! How's univmaversity?
Quick: recap your uni life, now! It was for . . . English? Oop North somewhere?
How's it been?
As far as I can gather it involves meeting people and going out for fun or just because. It involves talking and things. It is all very confusing.
Ach, I'll probably have a good time, even if I've yet to last half an hour standing up in my posh shoes.
And I think social awkwardness is a trait common to most Playgrounders.
Yes, yes it makes the Koorly one very happy.
. . . Well that answers my question.
ALso: house hunting?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!1!!111!!!3! I don't have to do that. I just enter the ballot.

And as of this post, I can also create a new thread.

Cycoris. I didn't mean to imply that you are the Slender Man, that was just the first thought that popped into my head when I saw that picture of you.
Also, I like my little sister. We were talking on the phone the other day about a limited edition 'winter flavour' chocolate bar that she sent me before Christmas so I could try it, and while we were talking, we were also both looking at the website of the chocolate company (Mmmmmm.... Marabou) and I found a chocolate bar that I haven't tried in forever.
Today, when I got home, I had a Jiffy-bag waiting for me containing five of those chocolate bars, and an additional of a different kind. Best. Sister. Ever!

Whee, my application was accepted by Kingston University. I have to make some sort of online portfolio, so it isn't an interview quite yet. *Is still exited* >w<

Congrats, Nameless. Here's hoping it all goes as well, if not better, from here on out.
Also, would people object to Edge's Effluence of Extravagant and Effulgent Random Banter #138?Homebrew

Re: Jibar's Random Banter #137: Return of the Cat-Muffin
@KR: Thatnks. :3
There's a minimum amount, but it doesn't go into any sepcifics like Hertforshire did. I'm assuming they'll want it to relate to the coarse in one way or another though.
Hertfordshire was like in all caps; "NO MANGA, NO ELVES, NO SPACE MARINES, NO ORKS, NO PIRATES, NO ROBOTS, NO NINJAS! BE ORIGINAL!!!!!1111ONEONEELEVENTY." Seriously. O.o
It's a shame though, my main idea was a Manga about a giant war between Space Marines, elves, orks, pirates, ninjas and Robots. .-.Last edited by Nameless; 2010-02-12 at 03:14 PM.

Re: Jibar's Random Banter #137: Return of the Cat-Muffin
Exactly why I thought I'd ask. I'll give it another five minutes, and then proceed.
And I shall be one step closer to world domination... now, just to purchase a disused satellite and a gigantic magnifying glass...
@Nameless: The obvious answer is to take an extant manga or anime and reimagine it the mundane world. Dragonball Z in a corporate office, maybe?
Oh, and everyone. Five minutes is up.Last edited by Edge; 2010-02-12 at 03:21 PM.

It's interesting...I'm actually trying to get into web design as a professional. ^^; I still need to learn some of the most important things though, like how to use the Dreamweaver software, and PhP pages.
What are you going to do for your site, Nameless?

>///>
D: that's pretty unfortunate, I mean...what if you're a comic book artist who's done stories for one or all of those? I mean, that would be awesome! ^^; But I think you'll be fine whatever you do. Just make sure it works properly, that it looks really nice, and that everything you need is on the site.

They did say something like Photobucket would be fine though.
And good luck with that, I hear much money is involved. >:3Last edited by Nameless; 2010-02-12 at 03:30 PM.
