Charity's player apologizes for forgetting this scene but is really bad at multitasking lately.

"Imma go grab some sandwiches and lemonade. Keep up the good work," she says to Jamie and Nimai, and she poofs off to the kitchen to deadtime.

"Okay!"

"Well, it's certainly nice to meet you Jamie Misaki Catherine Druid. Who are your friends?" Crodelus will ask, apparently searching for a topic rather uncertainly.

"I'm Nimai," Nimai says, stressing the last syllable.

Are any of these the Cardinal's holy symbol?
She holds out her bracelelt, on it are three symbols. A shield, three hearts inside of each other, and a smiley face.

And so Adam arrives at GLoG!
Interesting campgrounds place.
The catboy doesn't go up to a building in particular quite yet, instead choosing to look around outside of his own accord.
Hopefully no one believes him to be one of those catpeople that destroyed the last base. That would turn out badly.

If Adam is here, he may feel eyes upon him. This is because Eko has been living here since Draken changed the weather. The brown-scaled lizardperson is sitting in a tree in front of him, wearing a belt with a wooden club and a bandoleer carrying a quiver of obsidian-tipped javalins, but nothing else, although her anatomy does make it difficult to guess her gender; there's no mammalian signs of dimorphism. Her tail dangles below like a tropical vine; this may stand out in a deciduous/coniferous mixed woodland.

If anyone can figure out gender based on anatomy, even of a lizard, it'd probably be Adam. Not that it matters much.

"Greetings." Adam says with a bow.

Woods

"Greetingss, mammal. I am Eko of the [sibilant hiss] Tribe of the Gekko people. You remind me of a ssimilar mammal who had the misstaken belief I wanted to eat him. If it wass, indeed a him. You mammalss are sso confussing." Looks like the reverse is true, as well, when it comes to gender differences. Eko jumps out of the tree and lands on her feet.

"A pleasure to meet you Eko. I am Adam. You've... met a catperson before? What was their name?" Of course, if he knew exactly where he was, he wouldn't have to ask.

Woodss

"I think it wass ssomething like Butler. There wass a ssmaller one, too, a hatchling, maybe, named Missaki. I haven't sseen either ssincse the old basse wass desstroyed." The six-foot-ish lizardperson hasn't blinked since they started the conversation, and Eko awkwardly holds out her right hand.

Adam pauses for a bit and frowns. "I see."

After a bit, he takes the lizardwoman's hand and shakes, presuming that's what she wants. "This is GLoG then?"

Woods

"Yess, the main ssettlement iss jusst on the other sside of thesse sshrubss. Do you wissh for me to sshow you the way?" Eko seems inexpert at shaking hands, yet it is hard to let go due to the way her hands help her climb. It might also be noted that there's no plants that could be termed 'shrubs' nearby, just trees of about twenty feet high. Also, Eko licks her eyes now.

If Adam is perturbed by the eye-licking, he doesn't let it show. Gotta keep up that noble stature, don't you know?

"That would be much appreciated, thank you." He lets Eko lead the way.

Woods

Eko will lead him to GLoG! Via the tree-tops. Depending on Adam's fitness and climbing ability, he may have difficulty keeping up. If he chooses to follow on foot, he may also have difficulty keeping up. Eko was built for trees. Pity about her tail; it doesn't quite grip the branches as well as it should because of frost bite.

Adam totally gets left in the dirt and the dust as he tries to follow on foot.
Alas, how shameful.

Lukily for Adam, Eko has stopped quite a distance ahead. "Why aren't you in the treess, Adam? It iss much fasster and eassier than the bare ground. Lesss chance of being eaten." I think Eko may be confusing these woods with her native jungle. Certainly doesn't look like the kind of place with dangerous creatures in.

"I'm a catboy, not a monkey. Very few eat catboys." He would hope.
He'd talk more, but he's busy keeping up a fast pace.

"What'ss a 'monkey'?" Eko jumps to the ground again to help protect Adam. What from, I don't really know; possibly the dinosaurs of her homeland. She then leads Adam through the trees via the ground.

Woods

"Monkeys are like humans, only smaller, have a tail, and are more adapted to swinging through trees." What sort of jungle does Eko come from that doesn't have monkeys?

And what're the chances of dinosaurs attacking here? A million to one? Nothing could possibly go wrong.

*waits for it*

Woods

A jungle on a continent with no native mammals except bats. "There'ss no mammalss in my homeland except batss. I wass ssurprissed at the amount of birdss here, too, and the lack of pteranodonss."

Because you were expecting a dinosaur, suddenly a pair of dimetrodon (a 'mammal-like reptile', pre-dinosaur and more mammal than reptile) rush out of the trees. They are eleven foot long, quadropedal creatures with large sails on their backs. The brown-scaled reptiles split up, one going after Eko and one going after Adam. Eko tosses a javalin towards Adam with the intention of him catching it before throwing another at the dimetrodon, sticking in its side.

The one threatening Adam is rushing forewards with its mouth open, intending to bite Adam and then possibly eat him.

Adam catches the javelin! Looks at it. Looks at dinosaur with open mouth.
Drops javelin and runs screaming like a little girl to get out of the way. Fortunately, he's got pretty decent reflexes, being a catperson and all, so at least manages to dodge the bite. Not sure how fast those things are though.

"I'm Nimai," Nimai says, stressing the last syllable.

Jamie, who somehow has made it back outside after the family dinner, smiles at her new friend. "She's a better painter than me but I'll catch up!"

Eko's Dimetrodon resembles a pincusion now. Still going, but Eko's up a tree where she's safe. Although, she's jumping up and down on that branch, and it does seem to be cracking.

Adam's Dimetrodon tries chasing him. It will probably run out of breath soon. Just keep running; you'll enter camp eventually. Unless he's running the wrong way.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..."

Adam was running into camp! And through camp! And maybe even out the other side! It's amazing how fast you move when something's trying to eat you.

Woods-Camp

Eko is no longer in the tree; her bouncing on the branch caused it to break and fall onto the dimetrodon. She then starts recovering her javalins, although the one Adam dropped got stood on and is now broken. She'll be there a while as I must Deadtime.


Adam will be chased to the edge of the wood, before the dimetrodon turns back. Seems it doesn't like something about the GLoG camp.

Perhaps the ghosts. Like the one of the athletic teenage girl who just jumped out in front of Adam.

"Hey! Slow down!"

Adam is attacked by random ghost! He tries to stop, goes flying through, and falls in a horrid roll that looked kinda painful, ending up on his back. Looking up and seeing no dinosaur, he sorta just lays there.

"Did you have to jump out like that?"

"Duh. You were about to run into the ravine." she says, tossing her ponytail. Adam will see a steep bank ahead of him with about a 6 foot drop to the creekside below. Not automatically fatal if he'd gone tumbling over, but potentially so. It definitely wouldn't have been pleasant. "Seriously, it's not safe around here. I should know."
