    Deirdre. Definitely Deirdre.
I no longer actively read the forums, and probably won't respond to any PMs. I'm fine with people using my homebrew in anything, including fan-compilations and wikis, as long as you credit me.

I like this one, actually. Nice and elegant - it fits Secret in a way that Deedee and Deidre don't (she's too young for the latter and too not-pink for the former).

I mean, some do, but most don't. Besides, it's hard to change your name in Exalted, since they're written in stars.

The spell Enemy of Nature says otherwise.

An individual is almost doomed to be tormented by hateful creatures and plants wherever she goes, however long she lives. Once a sorcerer casts Enemy of Nature, she cannot revoke the curse.
EDIT: Naturally, it was in the last book I looked. Good thing .pdf's have a built-in search function, so I could just filter it by occurrence of the word "name".

EDIT2: I also have a weird memory on these things, so don't argue with me on little details that no one really cares about. I will be correct.

Then I will forget something so crucial it's repeated in every book, so it evens out.

Speaking of which, isn't Desus just the exemplar of the loving husband and merciful Solar hero?

It could be possible her dad had the habit of calling her 'Dear ??????', and she cut him off mid-way through 'dear'.

Unlikely. She mentioned not saying her name. She wouldn't stop him saying Dear. Unless he often said, "Dear [Secret's Name]", which seems awkward.

Actually, it is. A significant part of Creation, especially the Realm, is largely matriarchal in structure. Culturally, Coral is pretty much a distaff "land of the Amazons".

Well, it comes favored with the caste, but that doesn't mean they have points in them.

Misho's just a very experienced and powerful Exalt - far moreso than you would expect of the newly incarnated Solars. He's got points in Investigation for the same reason he throws around Necromancy spells.

I think it's interesting that Marena doesn't seem to really comprehend what she's asking for with regards to sorcery. She seems to view it as just another ability, one that as an exalt she's entitled to. Wonder if Misho's going to make shaking that view part of her trials.
